Hi,
I posted this in the GotDeals forum in response to someone's charity plea, but I thought it was better to repeat it here:
While we're talking charity here, though, I'm planning on giving $300 to a local orphanage in Chicago called Mercy Home. (I'm not sure orphanage is a pc term anymore, but I'm a Republican. I don't care what I say, it's what I do http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/smile.gif It's a Catholic run charity, and although I'm not Catholic, I've heard great things about them. I would even volunteer to send a check to someone like apex if others want to add to the total to get them a really nice setup.
Anyway, I'm thinking of trying to get a great deal on something, like a TV or dvd player, and just send it directly to them. Is anyone willing to help me with this? I was thinking if I sent them a dvd player, some of you master dealmakers could just order dvd's and send them directly to them. Or some other type of complimentary giving.
If you are interested, or have some opinions on this, send me an email at [email protected] I will repost this on another forum, but I thought it was appropriate here. (Note: Nothing will go through me but sent directly to Mercy Home. I actually want to keep my name anonymous to them.) I have no connection with this group other than hearing many great things about them shaping young lives.
John
