anyone run an Abit IS7 w/o the chipset fan?

Mine has become noisey, and I was thinking of just removing the fan. I did this with a MSI board a couple of years ago and that board was fine (due to good case ventilation).

I don't have an IS7, but I do have an ABIT KX7-333r that I took the chipset fan off of over a year ago....haven't had a problem yet.
