Doesn't your local ABC affiliate (SF???) broadcast in HD? If so, you should be able to use an HD terrestrial antenna for the OTA signal.

I'm actually in Riverside right now, but are you saying other ABC affiliates broadcasting the games in HD? Damn. Just damn. :|

I also get OTA HD and I also find that the playoffs are not broadcast in HD, even though the news afterward are. :spock:

While I'm getting it through cable, ABC and TNT are both broadcasting in HD (and it looks spectacular).

The Finals are not here yet how can you say that they are not in HD? I don't know about the playoffs games because I wasn't home last night to watch the game. :D I love watching the games on TNT and ESPN HD though.

Last Sunday I saw the western finals game 2 in HD on ABC. That was just using an antenna. It was awesome. You could notice how great HD is when it would switch to the commercials, which were in regular digital. It was on channel 7-1 not 7.

Because no one wants to watch a series where the number of baskets scored is less then the number of times in star wars that they say "I've got a bad feeling about this."

Seriously, when the finals roll around and its detroit and san antonio... its like a pain you can't even understand... I've been enjoying phoenix all season long, and i seriously wont enjoy the finals if its SA and DET cause i really dont think they are fun to watch.

detroit's not fun to watch??? they play basketball like it should be played. tons of passing, teamwork, defense, etc. so what if there's no duncan or shaq.
