DY0X0

2" x 1"
Grade N45 - Nickel Plated
Poles on flat ends

These giant discs are incredibly stong. Only purchase these discs if you are very experienced with handling very strong neodymium magnets. Two of these stuck together are virtually impossible to separate by hand. They can pinch and cause physical harm if they are not handled with extreme care and respect. One of these discs has a pull force of over 180 lbs if attached to a steel plate.

Yeah but only order them one at a time or the postman might get killed in the delivery process.

Actually...not that far. Magnetism falls off with the square (or the cube, or forth as indicated here: http://www.exo.net/~pauld/activities/magnetism/forcebetweenmagnets.html ) of distance...so magnetism is VERY weak at distance.

Also, if you want neodymium magnets, just take apart a harddrive. I have piles of magnets-they are used in the electromagnetic movement of the HD's data arm.

oh yeah...lastly www.Kelvin.com, www.flinnsci.com, and www.arborsci.com sell neodymium magnets for A LOT less than that site. (They are school/lab suppliers).

I was going to mention the hard drive source for neodymium magnets as well. It surprises a lot of people to learn that hard drives contain powerful magnets (although far weaker than the ones wird posted).

HAHA, what would this do to the Airport Security scanners?

How are you making a perpetual motion machine? Afaik they're impossible since you're always losing energy, and with nothing to replace it 100% the machine will eventually stop ..

Dude...just put it in your pocket and walk past people at the mall. Super magnet + credit cards in pockets = DELETED!

Unfortunately... once you find it, you wouldn't be able to pry it off of the magnet. :heh:
