hi, i upgraded my video card...from an ati aiw 7500 to a ati aiw 9600...i have a planer lcd with a dvi out, the new card comes with this adapter thing that only connects to vga....so i got a dvi 2 vga converter, but when i turn on my cpu, the monitor goes blank and all it says is "no signal"..
help?
i've already tried uninstalling the old drivers and installing the new drivers by " "hot-swapping" the old card back in...(in which case the signal works...btw)
help?

Does it have two outputs- like a VGA output and a DVI output? If so have you tried both? Since it works on your TV, can you go to the video card control pannel and see what it shows as where the signal is going? You should be able to select which output somewhere.

well, that's what i did, i went and got a vga 2 vga cord since (luckily) my lcd has both dvi and vga interfaces...so now it's working...i'm assuming it was the dvi 2 vga converter that i was using, i think i have another one at my parents house....eh
thanx anyways
