REAL Italian Lemon Ice

4 cups of water
1 cup of sugar
Lemon zest -from 3 lemons
1 1/2 cup FRESH lemon Juice

Combine water and sugar and heat until full boil-cook for 5 more minutes then remove from heat and cool....
add zest and lemon juice and place in large bowl for shaving when frozen, or place in small paper cups for individual servings-
Freeze, and eat..

You can add fresh strawberries for lemon strawberry ice
or puree the strawberries and use in place of the lemon juice..
