he has no excuse for losing this time. last time he had a legitimate knee injury.I don;t understand anyone wanting to plunk doen 50 bucks to watch this has been. Paying to the mike tyson relief fund?

he even headbutted the guy,

Tyson sounded like he is quitting, but i bet within 8 months we have another comeback try

You got it. I remember the guy who used to do this...

Kinda sad to see him holding on to nothing, like Ali and Holmes did.

You could see it coming, he was only fighting to pay off he debts. Im more suprised cause he was winning the fight after the 2pt deduction. Oh well, guess he has to find something else do to pay the bills.

How sad, I remember the days when Tyson WAS boxing. He was the end of it all, the hands down best, now this :disa:

Anyone else used to play Mike Tysons Punchout? :)

Yeah that game rocked. I've been playing it lately on the XBox Nintendo emulator. What a sweet game :thumb:

i'll take that bet.

i don't think he'll be back. he sounded like he was done. he had no fight, no cockiness left in him at all in the post fight interview.

and he does not want any sympathy, and he plainly stated that a few times, although... i feel some for him. he only took this fight to help pay off some debt. he was washed up quite some time ago.

Honestly... as much as I liked Tyson in the 80s to mid 90s, it really is time for him to give it up.

He's already done enough damage to himself and his career and more or less he has become a joke to the sport.

More or less, todays Tyson is washed up... He doesn't have the heart for it nor the desire. Couple that with bad management and bad decision making and pretty much you got a "lose - lose" situation.

And yes.... I used to play "Mike Tyson's Punchout" back in the day on my NES... Man... he was a bastid when he came with those serious back to back to back uppercuts.

"I'm gonna knock you out.... MOMMA SAID KNOCK YOU OUT!!!" :boxing:

You had to time those just right! Even once you had the pattern down it could be hard to get...

It's pretty sad that his greatest contribution to this world was Punch-Out for the NES.

Don't forget the "Mike Tyson's" in front of that...
Remember after the Robin Givens rape scandal that Nintendo re-released the game (and removed Tyson), called it "Punch Out" and the end guy was Mr. Dream (who did the same exact stuff as Tyson in the game, he was just a white guy with different colored trunks and shoes).

The real version (Mike's) was the best though. I was playing that the other day...Mr. Sandman whooped my arse. I remember when I used to be able to get to Super Macho Man without losing one time...man I'm getting rusty. :hihi:

But yes - back on topic - Tyson is done. It's sad to see a once great athlete reduced to a level like this.

And that was just a rip from a real arcade video game with Mike Tyson thrown in there for star power. (Arcade game was a classic, Mr. Sandman was the champ in it. And who remembers "Piston Hurricane" and "Pizza Pasta?")
