I'm not sure where this should go, whether it's hardware, finance, or off topic forums, so please bear with me.

I'm going to be taking finance in grad school this fall and I heard I need a calculator that can do financial calculations. I don't want to spend tons of money for a TI89, so can someone recommend me a good calculator that's sorta easy to use?

On the TI side, I've been looking at the BAII Plus and BAII Plus Professional

On the HP side, I'm looking at the HP12c Platinum and the HP17bil+.

I know there are some people here who have taken Finance, so I hope to hear from you.

TIA.

For my finance class, I had to buy a BAII Plus - it's fine.

My dad still uses a HP 12c - RPN is weird.

That's all I have to say about it. Finance is about as boring as this post.

Use the BAII plus. It does all the financial functions you need and it is not too much money. I have one from when I took the CFA exam.

Many people in finance still use the hp 12c. It is a good calculator but takes some getting used to.

I just found out that I really don't need a finance calculator...the prof doesn't want people to use them and we have to show our work anyway.

I'm just going to use my TI graphing calculator...I like to see what I'm entering :D

Thanks guys!
