My First Cali earthquake

So this morning, I could have sworn someone was shaking my bed, I even looked for the perpetrator underneath. Then I realised 'IT WAS MY FIRST'
earthquake that is. 5.5 in anza, CA somewhere in the desert.

Eh, that doesn't count as an earthquake... didn't even wake me up. I feel more shaking when the woman next door walks.

As soon as i woke up i felt my bad shaking, it seems like it was 5 second long..i felt in from san diego..my friend was outside she didnt feel a thing..usually earthquakes are at 4 in the morning or something so i sleep right throught them

I didn't wake up.. i think i woke up right after it ... there were a bunch of people outside this morning.. on cell phones and hanging out ... wonder if they were scared or something :shrug:

I was already awake and felt the quake at 8:41am. hooray for earthquakes!

If I had been indoors I would have thought it was just the building, but I was standing outdoors for the Star Spangled Banner at my graduation in SD. The people around me didn't seem to feel it. And I agree with Hapoo, it was unfulfilling. If it had been a lot bigger I wouldn't have had to sit through all 750 name butcherings.

On a side note, I guess we have a graduate named Ti-Vo.

I felt the quake this morning. At first I though it was the dog scratching. Then, I realized that the dog was outside.

I was awake and actually walking up the stairs, I definetly felt a little shaking. Nothing too exciting.

I was driving, so I didn't feel it under the shakes induced by my "creative" driving this morning.

However, my head pastor was apparently preaching the morning service at the time it happened, so he did tell me that later.

K..I gotta tell ya being from where I am we dont get earthquakes so I'm afraid any kind..no matter how small...would probably freak me out...at least a lil. Now have a cold spell of minus 40 degrees celsius...no worries.:bigeyes:

I remember meeting people from the gulf states and whenever I'd make fun of their humidity and hurricanes their retort was always, "Well, at least we don't have earthquakes!"

Earthquakes aren't that bad, generally. It's usually just some gentle rocking. Now, I'm not saying that I enjoy the bad ones or anything, but earthquakes aren't nearly as bad as people seem to fear.

it is too fearful they are unpredictable you never have warning you don't know if it will cause damage or what. I take the killer humidity and heat.
