i can't believe my mom's ARGUING with me about this one... seriously. will y'all tell her what's what, please? between you n me... i don't think her education was worth a crap.

not to mention the fact that none of the parenting magazines would sanction the obvious blow to my self-esteem caused by her simply telling me "you're wrong." :disa: where are the parenting police when you need them...

Isn't the literal translation of that "Day of Death"? I guess that's close enough to Halloween...

Halloween is Celtic, not sure if that has a connection to Spanish or not.

Actually Days of the Death is a day before "All Saint Day" in Catholic calendar. It's just happened to fall on 10/31.

Autumn, is otoņo in spanish and they don't have halloween in mexico , it's called dia de los muertos, or days of the death which is exactly a day before all saints day, so it's basically a coincidence that these two celebrations are the same day, it's not that they are the same or anything

same place i get all my genius ideas... my BRAINS. duh.

some of my best friends speak spanish. dora... kasey (he's a kinderbot and WAY smart)... even that elmo dork...

i don't know why y'all are arguing with me, too. i'm not 5 anymore, y'know... i'm five AND A HALF. and if that doesn't prove my obvious fitness for world domination... well, let's just say you're about as bright as my mom

see, i'll explain it to you the way i did to her (she still didn't get it, but... whatever.) spanish words are long. and they have lots of "a"s in them. autumn is a longer word than fall. and fall is when halloween is. and fall has an "a", but it it's shorter than "autumn."

see? proven. autumn is the spanish word for halloween. now go argue about politics or something, because THIS argument is futile. :D

you guys just don't know me very well, do you? :P

It totally means halloween. I should know since I live in San Diego. You best keep your mom in check like it says to do in the bible.
