So I'm going to Japan next month and I wanted to print out subway and train maps. They come in huge PDFs with japanese font so I needed to print them in large size. However, I couldn't use kinko's online file printing system because of the japanese language packs the PDFs use. I went down to their shop to hook up to one of their color laser printers. Once I downloaded the driver by using their internet (which costs money), I printed 4 gorgeous 11x17 color maps, each costing $2.

When I went up to pay for them, the guy said not to worry since I only used their equipment and not anyone's services. I made sure he wasn't on crack and offered again, but he said it wasn't a problem.

So, I got these really nice huge COLOR maps and it didn't cost me a cent! Not even the internet costs either! I like nice people...well...nice people and those who don't take their job that literally or seriously :)

Isn't it nice to be on the receiving end of an act of kindness once in a while. Now it is your turn to do the same for someone else. Only seems fair.

well...my boss (and his bosses) had a problem with their demo laptop and I volunteered to come in at 7:30 pm to fix it (and it took me 5 minutes, though it would take others hours). Didn't have to come in, but I did (mostly because I wanted to feel helpful since I haven't done squat in 2 weeks since I'm leaving in 2 more weeks).

So, that's sorta nice...though I do get paid for it...

So then looks to me like you are even in the good deed department.
