I'm packing up my apartment for movers. However, there are certain things I don't know how to pack. How do I pack an ironing board? How about TV dinner tables (little portable tables)? They really don't fit in any box, but I'm also not sure if moving companies allow items to be unboxed. I was told that the movers will come to pack my tv (somehow) and the tv stand can remain unpacked, mostly because it's big and it is furniture.
I hope those G|Aers that have moved before can give some advice :)
TIA

Shrink rap.
If it doesn't fit in a box, get shrink rap.
Normally, when we move, the movers pack us out. They normally don't do anything with the ironing board and our TV tables, they haven't dealt with yet.
But If you have two boxes -- the meduium 3.0 size, see if it won't fit in that, then place another box on top creating a taller box that fits. Tape it good to each other and around.

with the ironing board-just make sure the legs are secured down with some strong packing tape or large rubber cords so they don't fall open and smash anything else..as far as the tv tables go-you can get a box big enough to fit them-go to a packing store and see what they have..or just bust down a big box from say...a refridge, and then remould the box to fit the trays and tape it shut.
