I had to move the mp3 clip (just cut it down to the chorus of a song) onto the phone's 11mb internal memory to get it to play as a ringtone.

Haven't tried games yet...

go to www.phonescoop.com and search "V710" and there is a TON of information there.

I don't remember correctly cause I'm away from my desktop for one more week, but I think I used CDex or one of the other encoding programs to re-encode the mp3s at a much lower bit rate and move the songs from the transflash onto the phone's actual memory. For some reason Motorola won't let you use the songs on the transflash as your ringtone.

man... what's the point of a transflash card if you can't use it fully... verizon sux... as if it wasn't bad enough they charge the most for service...

Yeah... I got the V710 the day it came out almost a year ago, and I had to sign the 2 year agreement to get the phone discount (no way I was paying $500).

I'm definitely switching to Cingular in a year, mostly due to better phones, not to mention their plans are better.

:stupid: On both counts. Cingular while cheap and "readily available" (IMHO) has had connectivity issues that I'd rather pay a little more for steady service then to have a bunch of dropped calls. Nothing is more irritating than to keep having to redial a number while in the car.
