So I am Walking out of Staples this Morning..

and at the book store's parking lot about 80 feet away I hear an older guy arguing with an older woman. I figured it was a family dispute, but I then realize it's about the dog in his car which he was about to leave there to probably go and browse for books.

The temperature is already in the mid 80s and I am beginning to see why the woman was so upset. It appears that the store manager heard the scuffle outside and was standing there to monitor the situation.

My sister, who used to work in a rescue organization informed me several years ago that it only takes a few minutes in a hot car for an animal to die.
Maybe this guy didn't realize what he was doing, but he was really mad. I drove by and spotted the dog innocently looking up at the owner from inside the car window while he was making a call on his cell phone.

I hope he learned a lesson.

i've seen dogs being left in the car unattended in 80+ degree weather twice already this past week... those poor dogs.

Dogs? .. Kids are the worst.. Seen that before.. when I was a kid .. all the time.

I used to get left in the car every once in a while when i was 5+ish. Never seemed unusual to me. I never opened the door/window for anyone, and cracked the window open if it was hot. Only problem i ever has is that i'd get impatient.
