While I've been working for the last three years (and I have 4 days left), I've had a lot of free time at work. Not because of a lack of work, but that I can't sit still while I'm working. If i'm coding and my server needs to be started, my code needs compiling, or if my computer is running slow, I feel a need to do something. That something usually resolts to me clicking on all the links in my bookmarks. CNN, ESPN, GotApex, Gmail, woot, slashdot, etc. Even when I've been there in the last 2 minutes and I've read everything there, I still need to click on them, sometimes I don't stay for more than a few seconds on each page. It just keeps me busy during the small down times while I'm waiting. I always wonder, though, that if they were tracking my websurfing habits, I must look like the worst worker in the world.

Anyway, I've found that one of the best things to do if I do have free time is to read webcomics. I've been reading penny arcade for a while and I have read every comic. From there I added PVP to my collection (and yes read all of them). Then onto Beca's TH and me. Mike on vth once posted a link to Order of the Stick on the message board and I got hooked, reading all of the 180-someodd panels over an afternoon. PA also talked about the Pet Professional and I've been reading that too.

Today PA talked about a comic called Alpha Shade and I just read it. It's some of the most amazing pieces of art I've seen in a while. It's manga and it's great stuff. So it got me wondering. Do YOU have any webcomics you'd recommend? I guess I love comedy, but Alpha Shade's got me really interested in manga.

I read PVP and penny-arcade as well.

Occasionally I also read sinfest.net and Angst Technology (http://www.inktank.com/at/)

I read a bunch of them. I like getting normal newspaper comics from comics.com. Some other's I like:

http://www.kevinandkell.com/
http://www.crfh.net/
http://www.ubersoft.net/

all kinda random and weird.

I read several of the ones posted above, but if you like an IT-related webcomic, you might like http://www.userfriendly.org/

I read http://the13labour.keenspace.com/ every day. It's mildly entertaining and I need to support the artist.
