Hello Hello hello!

long time no post

anyways... i'm looking for a creative for wrapping a bday gift.

As a group, we got him an ipod and a hoodie, and the thing is he has been hinting about the ipod, so we wanna make this difficult for him. What would be the best way to prank/joke him with this gift? We thought about giving it to him like a week later, but it seems too wrong for like 20 people to give him one hoodie. Do you guys have any ideas?

TIA

i did something like that for a friend before, and its actually really fun to see their reaction.
get a BIG gift box from somewhere, a BIG one, im sure you can get one at a department store, i know we at Barneys have some huge ones, big enough to fit luggage, but anyhow, we stuffed the box with lots of tissue, some candy, lots of distractions, and so the birthday girl had to dig around to find her gift.

Open ipod and remove everything from box. Place IOU note in box. Wrap box.

For the hoodie (has a pocket in front?) Place ipod in pocket. If no pocket, under hoodie in box. Wrap.

Have birthday person open ipod box first.

cool.. any more ideas? the box one has been done b4.. so want some more original...

the removing the ipod out of the box is ok... we want to make it so its not obvious that he is getting one. Just cuz he hinted it to me so much.

Purchase an inexpensive radio controlled car. swap out the iPod for the remote control. Wrap the car and there you go. You can give him the box and remote later.

Wrap the present in an entire role of duct tape. then wrap the present in gift wrap as normal. My dad did this for my sister-in-law, a welcome-to-the-family christmas gift. Keep a knife near-by for when the person gets really frustrated.

saran wrap would probably be amusing too - he knows his iPod is in there, he just can't get to it!

I like the IOU idea. Maybe find some way to make him think you started a lay-a-way for it, then wrap it with the hoodie.

put the iPod in the middle of a toilet seat (where the hole is). wrap the toilet seat.

for even better effect, use your friends toilet seat.

wrap with duct tape like previously said... but use small strips so it can't be pulled off easily. also put the ipod box itself(with everything in it) in a slightly larger box so he doesn't know its an ipod....or saran wrap the ipod and put it in a cake(bake the cake, cut a hole out of the bottom, place ipod on tray, cake over it)

Go get a fake eye ball from a party store (they usually have little super bouncy balls shaped like eyes) and then get from a craft store a bean pod (you know the fake food type things) Glue them together and place in Ipod box (Have real Ipod handy for when he gets ready to hit you) :D Wrap normally.

Okay that one is really cheesey.

I will go now.
