A friend of mine had bought the $30/year subscription to Keyhole from Google. A couple of weeks ago I downloaded a trial version of Keyhole. Then a week later they "released" Google Earth, which seems to be about the same thing, but free. Glad I didn't pay the $30 a few weeks ago.

my office is purchasing the pro version with some plug-ins. I cannot wait to 'test' this before deploying to the end user.

10 MB file. Definitely not for dial up users.

This has got to be the one of the coolest things ever!! You can tilt the view like you're in a low flying plane (more like a balloon) and see everything as it pans to wherever you want to go.

This is going to make travelling to unknown places infinitely easier.

Way to go Google!!

this makes looking for directions alot easier. now you can know the side streets and possible what is around the location you are looking for. Great tool from google. :)

Something I noticed.

These images are 2 to 3 years old.

go to 37.407229
-122.107162

You should be looking at a couple of buildings and a large grass area.

That grass area was converted into a parking lot 2 years ago.

Has anyone found a crime in progress that was caught on a satellite photo yet?

I think this thing was introduced during the 60 minutes special on the Google enterprise. At the time I thought, MAN I HAVE TO TRY THAT SHAT OUT WHEN IT COMES OUT!!!!!

Awesome, awesome, awesome...

My nine year old and I sat here for a good hour and toured the world. She even got to see where her grandmother lives in Chile.

Thanks, nice pull and WTG Google...
