All of a sudden when I boot up, I go to the Administrator screen, I have no password, so I press enter and it boots up. I am supposed to choose a user but I like to skip that screen. I have fixed this before but I forgot how to do that.

qwilliam, Thank you for finding that thread, I searched and found nothing. What was your search criteria? Anyway, I thought you would be interested in what made my problem happen, I thought it happened when I installed a HP printer, so I emailed HP and here was their reply, "The problem you are reporting on is caused the installation of Microsoft .Net during the All-in-Ones installation. Installing Microsoft .Net installs an additional user which then causes the logon screen to show up. Simply removing the .Net user will return the computer to it's expected behaivor."

i searched for "automatic logon" (but that's only because i knew i had replied to a post similar to yours :D). in the other thread that i linked to, memo talks about something with the .net framework. so, it might've been that as well.

If you install the .net framework, it installs a .net user and everytime you boot, you have to click your name (and enter a pw if applicable). If you uninstall .net (or delete the user under Users & Groups), it doesn't make you select a user anymore.

Thank you for all the advice. Just as zero2dash said, that is exactly what happened but when I deleted the .net framework in Users and Groups, it didn't change the way it boots up. This is how I fixed it: This is how I fixed it: Start>settings>control panel>user Accounts> then choose Change the way window users log on or off.
