This site needs to be seriously updated. It says the median home price in San Diego is $233,100 when in fact it's almost $600,000.

nice but yeah, needs to be updated. :)
Let's spend some of the money our city 'does not have' on updating the site rather than frivilous lawsuits.
:)
What is frivolous to you, is very important to other people.

Wow. My town has only 42 rented houses compared to like 600+ owned houses.
That's... insane... Seeing as most homes here go for 750K+

I'm sure it relies on the National Census which is updated every 10 years and most likely has serious impact in the government.

:stupid:
I think they update home prices based on the value assigned for property taxes, which happens to be about a third of market prices now, at least for my city. Crime data is easily updated from police stats. So, yeah, maybe a little slow in being updated, but still good stuff to know.

No doubt. It says the median house value here is $238,700, while my townhouse just got appraised for $510,000.
It is 5 years old, so it's understandable. Cool site too. Would love to see it with updated data.

Wow my city is POOR!!! But then again inner city housing is so crazy cheap that it brings the median down.
I love this little quote:
"(Total can be greater than 100% because Hispanics could be counted in other races) "
Dont you think they could have said total is greater since some races are counted in others.

It's not that bad. I mean it's not beverly hills by any means but not that bad considering the median household income is a little over half of the median house value.
