So I'm at home and I'm plugged into the router and everything. It's a linksys I was wondering why it says that I have an invalid IP address. So right now i'm unable to connect to the internet. Anyone know why this would happen? TIA

edit: this is what it says when i double click the Local Area Connection under the support tab.

Address Type : Invalid IP Address
IP Address : 0.0.0.0
Subnet Mask : 0.0.0.0
Default Gateway : is blank

it was working earlier today but when I got back to Riverside from San Diego it stopped working.

Go to http://192.168.1.1 and see if you can connect to that. That IP should be your router. If you can't connect to that (and I suspect you can't), then you have a connection issue between your router and your PC. Try resetting your router.

I'd try:
start | run | cmd | ipconfig /renew

first.

Cubsfan steps work too ;)
