Going to Vegas!

im going to vegas for a quick getaway next week.
i havent gone since February, and im planning on renting Vespa Scooters for a few hours to cruise along the strip.
has anyone ever been on a vespa scooter?
i have never done it before, but was told its not complicated, no shifting, just go....
so hoping to have fun

Generally, the difference between a scooter and a full-fledged motorcycle is that scooters are automatic transmission and have the leg area between the front wheel assembly and the rest of the "bike" where motorcycles are manual transmissions that you have to straddle.

Oh, it's not THAT bad. The 7 day right now is only saying 104 last I saw. As long as you drink water during the day constantly, you will be fine.

Vespas are fun. I haven't ridden one on the strip, I would actually be scared to do so. To many drunks, too many red light runners and taxis that doen't look for bikes and scooters and pedestrians.

I would stay in the casino/hotel during the day and rent the scooter at night.
With the lights and all it is better to watch at night. And it is a really heavy oppressing heat in Vegas. Not good for you at all to be taking long walks in. :)

ahhh....I've actually rented scooters on the strip when I was there! IT WAS SO FUN! We got the 2 hour rent and we had a freakishly awesome time. I raced a hog, got called hells angels, went to the vegas sign, almost fell from trying to stand of the seat, and got talked to by the cops. FUN TIMES!!! you won't regret renting scooters!!!

i dunno, the website says they are 50cc, just 30 mph vespas, i dont need to go on the freeway, just ride along the strip....i dont have to shift gears do i? no...

seems like cheesypuff had the best time.
i know its gonna be hot, but then again, i dont think itll be that bad,...who knows.
riding around at night seems like a good idea, but i like to gamble at night and sleep during the day,...

I rented a scooter in Hawaii and it was a blast. If you can ride a bike, you can balance those little scooters. Turning radius sucks though, so be mindful of that.

I know. Pretty sad that I've never been. And believe it or not, I'm a corporate travel agent! LOL Some travel agent I am! But I've never been a real gambler, and if I do gamble, I want about $1000/day to play with, which I don't have, so I haven't gone. But I did go to Reno during my honeymoon, that was good enough.

That was the only thing stopping us! Man, take pictures. With it being a fundraiser with that pricetag, you should be able to get some good ones. I wish I would have done that for Toby Kieth last Dec. We didn't know that we could bring cameras... I got stuck with the crappy camera phone shots on something I would have loved to have gotten great shots on.

I forgot to mention (how embarrassing), I'm having a little BBQ at my new townhouse in south Henderson.

If any G|Aers (that happen to be in LV and have internet access) want to stop by, it's from 4-6 tomorrow (Thursday), with movies, games (don't know which ones yet-depends upon who hangs around) afterward.

Directions:
Our townhouse is at 2597 Land Rush Drive, Henderson. Take the 95 to the Wagonwheel exit in south Henderson. Turn left and overpass the freeway. Turn right at the stop light (Old Vegas Trail). Take the second Pistol Perry entrance (on the right) into the complex. At the roundabout, turn left. At the stopsign, take a left, then a quick right so you are driving between garages. Our unit is at the top-right, 2597. Park in any open spot.

My dad used to be a high roller gambles we used to stay at the PENTHOUSE sweet at new york new york. He quit gambling because he got addicted, but we had so much fun!! I love new york, new york....its very central..we had the floor alll to ourselves with a jacusi in our room.....havnt been since he quit gambling so guess im not going back...I miss it
