what are some of the smallest 12 inch laptops out there with built in CD drives? I want the most portable laptop but not deal with the hassle of external drives..

12 inch is the smallest you'll go? Sony has some tiny laptops but I believe their screens are only just over 10 inches.

Yeah, we have the VAIO T250 has 10.5" widescreen with a builtin Matsu****a(Panny) DVD+/-RW drive.
