Quick question...If I format my primary hdd (c:)...would that mess up anything on my other two hdd's, like cause me to lose my data?

Nope. You should be fine. Just make sure you are formatting the correct HD.
Do you use partitions?

no partitions....
I have the 10gig which is primary and two others...a 160 and a 120....if I format will XP Pro automatically recognize the size of the hdd's?

XP should recognize all the drives, if they are set-up correctly. I would just suggest that you make sure that you format the correct drive.

Since you're formatting your c drive, why not just get rid of it. I'm sure the data transfer rate is a lot slower that your other 2 drives and that would cause your overall performance to drop.
If you want to stick with how you have it set up. The easiest way to do it is to use the Windows install CD to boot and tell it to reformat your HD before starting the install.

Since you're formatting your c drive, why not just get rid of it.
Good idea. Just install Windows on one of the larger drives. Could speed things up considerably and lower your overall case heat. BUT DON'T have Windows install format the drive first.
