I like it :) I can't tell you why I like it better. I never used Outlook, just OE & something else now that I'm blanking on the name. But I've grown quite fond of Thunderbird. heh

I used it also but only for my ISP email, which doesn't have a lot of traffic. I hardly use OE or Outlook before so I can't tell you the difference.

I don't know how Outlook 2003 is with junk mail and if it can disable ActiveX etc but I know that Thunderbird has a solid junk mail filter that works great and it doesn't have ActiveX nor is it hit with all the viruses that Outlook/OE are.

I'm using Tbird for email. It doesn't have a lot of the features of Lookout/OE such as calendar, to do lists, etc, but I don't use those anyways. Its great at what it is: an email/news client. Making backups is easy: simply backup your profile folder and everything is taken care of: email, contacts, account settings, etc. None of this "export to this file type but never the one you want" BS.
