SO if i have lets say lots of garbage, mostly cardboard boxes. How can i legally dispose of them (to all you pyros out there i said legally). Is there a place where i can bring them, i mean i seriously have lots and i don't want to pay someone to get them out because last time i did the same thing i paid like 240$

Don't they have garbage and recycling pickup out there in the Styx, er, Queens?

I burned mine in the fireplace during winter. I'm not sure how legal this is but some business have a big garbage bin specifically for cardboard boxes that go in using a slit hole when the cardboard is flattened. I'm not sure how legal it is if you use it because I'm not sure the business pays for the bin and it's use. My parents had a business and we didn't like it when other businesses would dump their trash in ours because we pay for it. The same is true for the condo trash dumpsters I use since they are collected daily and we pay for that service. We get people who bus in their trash from townhomes and surrounding neighborhoods into our bins because they have weekly trash pickup. Our bins overflow and in turn we have to pay extra for the trash that sits up again and not in the bins which in turn increases my condo fees.

list the boxes on craigslist, they'll be gone in a day.

they do i just don't generate enough trash to pay for that weekly service.
I'd rather just load up the car and take it to some trash place which is why i'm wondering about how to find one

Did you try the neighbor's yard?

Do you have a local recycling center? They usually take it. Or give it to a homeless guy, he can build a mansion out of them.

Good idea. Be sure to get a receipt so you can write it off as a charitable contribution of building materials! :heh:

If they are all cardboard boxes then load up the F150 and take them to the local recycling center.

If there is more than that look for shopping certer or the likes with a garbage dumpster. Just be sure to be quick about it. :bandit:
