Got this from Scott today, who got it from his boss, who got it from a friend of his:
"I was working in my office and heard this really freaky muffled
screaming noise coming from one of the cats and an accompanying fairly
rythmic scraping-banging-rattling noise. It sounded like Marley's ghost
in the cat version of A Christmas Carol.
I ran in to see which one would be making the trip to the hospital this
time. I followed the noise to the laundry room. The dogs were dancing
around kind of growling and whining, Lawrence (the orange kitten) was a
puffed up and hissing, Lucy was nowhere to be found, which left Chloe.
She apparenly finished off the cat chow this morning. As a kitten she's
in the intellegence grey zone-- she was just smart enough to have
figured out that the food had been coming from that big container above
it but not smart enough to consider that sticking her head up in the
hole might not be a wise idea. Being the persistent baby that she is,
when she didn't immediately see any food, I guess she decided to keep
looking and literally got herself into something she couldn't get out of.
As any great mom would have done, I died laughing and ran to get the
camera before I let her out. "
