I'm looking for a 'cheap' ($200ish range if possible) dual head DVI card that will do 1920x1200 x2. I've seen a couple that do more than that analog, but, not digital. I must have DVI and must have AGP.
I'm not into games.. mostly desktop & photo processing, so 3d speed is mostly useless to me.
Thanks!

Forgive me if I'm a moron.. but..
Resolution & Refresh: 240 Hz Max Refresh Rate, 2048 x 1536 x 32bit x 85 Hz Max Analog, 1600 x 1200 Max Digital.
I need 1920x1200 digital.
Do you know something I don't?

I believe a lot of people are running 6600GTs on dell 24" widescreens with that res, but I am not sure if they are using the 2nd DVI connector to do it.
DVI has a max res of 2048 x 1536 I think. So you may have to run 2 separate cards with dual dvi to run 2 monitors of that res.

Thats exactly what I'm trying to do.. 2 24" Dell's..
Hrm.
Any other cards that you know of that will do the full 1600? I'm new to dual head systems...
I would assume that would require 2 AGP ports?

DVI itself maxes out at that res. So you can not get more than 2048 x 1536 from one DVI port. The 2nd will fill in the remaining 64 pixels or split the workload.
One agp card and one pci card should work for you. Cards are dropping but it will still cost around $100+ for a decent agp and ??? for a pci dual dvi.
<edit>If I were you I would grab a 6600GT for the primary monitor and a dual dvi 6200 for the 2nd one. That way you get some performance for light gaming and can watch movies and stuff on the 2nd. I dont think they make the shared ram version in anything but PCI-e. But if they do, grab one of those 6200TC cards for the 2nd slot.

Okay, last retarded question since I'm a video card n00b.
Would either of these work?

Thats dual DVI... would each output give me a max output of 2048x1536?
Or, is it a combined output total of 2048x1536?
I'm google-ing to see if I can find out, but, help is appreciated :)

The 1st one is slightly better for movies. The 2nd may be unlockable and oc well, but if you dont do that/game... I would get the 1st card.
For the 2nd monitor you need a pci card with dual dvi. Not pci-e.
Each DVI connection has a max res of 2048x1536. In theory 2 connectors off of the same card can push 2 times that or up to 4096x3072 on one monitor/up to 2048x1536 on 2 different monitors. You will need a 2nd card to push enough pixels for the 2nd monitor.

I am running a PNY GF 6600GT (dual DVI) with a 23" Apple (1920x1200) and a 20" Dell (1680x1050). That's pretty close to what you are looking for but I'm not sure if it could push 2x 1920x1200.
