Hey guys..

My brother in law's daughter is going away to school soon, and he wants to set up a webcam on her laptop and his home computer (i'm going to assume both will have at least cable/dsl+ speed), so they can 'stay in touch/see each other'

Home computer, if I remember correctly is a Dell 4700/p4 and the laptop is a Inspiron 600m..

What's the best bang for the buck combination for getting a webcam for both? i.e. good enough picture, easy to install (?usb), and pretty easy to just plug and play, without being, say very $$$ (try for maybe, <$200 together?)

suggestions appreciated
TIA

We use them to keep in touch with family up north and have very good luck with the Logitech QuickCam 4000 and Logitech Orbit. I find Zipzoomfly.com to have the best prices on hardware recently. Good luck!

You can't go wrong with Logitech IMO.

logitech. I think at BestBuy and Target they have these value packs which include two webcams for a reduced price than if you bought them seperately. If she has a laptop they make ones for those so it can sit/click on top.
