You might find what you are looking for at this site: http://www.audiocubes.com/
Found out about this site after someone had started a topic on another forum about finding great headphones. Havent bought from this site yet, but others who have bought products there said they were pleased with the service.
Also like Amazon, they have user/ customer feedback on their products so another reason to check it out. Hope this recommendation helps!

If you want good, for under $75 - check these (http://www.audioadvisor.com/store/productdetail.asp?sku=GRSR60&product_name=SR-60%20Headphones) out.
Sometimes the brands lesser known to the average consumer are the best. Be warned - Grado headphones are "no frills" in terms of sound - they are accurate, not bumped-up in the bass and treble to razzle-dazzle you.
If you want a good pair of sealed headphones (keeping the Bose Quiet Comforts in mind) - Sony still sells the classic MDR-V6 in it's professional line (also since improved). Check out these here (http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/MDR7506/). They are $100, but with every penny! Closed back, DEEEEEP bass, clean treble and they do fold-up and even have a storage bag included.
While there, check out the other headphones they have at Sweetwater. They don't sell junk, and the prices are very good.
