Needless to say, Volkswagen was very pissed about the ad.

If I remember correctly, it was created by an advertising creative who was looking to get a little exposure and generate a little buzz for himself so he could land a nice job. Well, Volkswagen didn't exactly like it and sued.

He apologized profusely.
