From today's blog:
I just drove the getaway car, so my kids and their friend can TP some little boys house Vanessa probably has a crush on……..
What in the HELL is he thinking? It's bad enough that he has publicly condoned and encouraged his kids' CRIMINAL behavior, now he's an ACCOMPLICE?
And by the way NR, THAT'S how you use caps.

First, welcome to the new additions....
Laura is not a teenager. I'm sorry, but she should be able to function ALONE. Remember all that tough stuff at that seaside rehab place...where she had to ride a beachcruiser past bars, she had to go past the alcohol in a grocery store?
Maybe I just don't get the whole rehab thing. But if you are still leanin' when you leave, maybe you should make a U-turn and head back into the corral?
Why is she at Fathead's? Because she hasn't made some Pacey or Emily find her a suitable place. What, her go out and in an organized way find a place that would be welcoming to her kids?
Maybe she is working Bardon to remodel a place they have picked out for her. and maybe Mossy will give her a car. When her current one runs out of gas. Does she actually fill her own gas tank?
Her focus is: 1. herself. Isn't everyone just thrilled to be around her? And now, 2. Tanning. She can't get outside enough to build a real tan doing something, but she can spend the time and the dough to do a man-tan. 3.Entertainment. thankfully, her kids are almost at the age of her maturity level.
4. Playiing up that she is a good Mom. Reality: her kids are a crutch for her. Their needs are way down on the list of priorities. Well, let me take that back. I don't know for sure, but maybe she DID get them both memberships at the same tanning salon.
A couple of newbies have said a couple of things I would like to comment about. Notice I didn't ask if anyone wanted to hear what I had to say. I don't have a problem with Randy. I don't even pay attention to his guffawing. And if he lives with his parents, that's ok by me. It's his choice, and doesn't harm anyone in any way.
I, too, still like Jeff. I know, I know.I don't like a lot of the stuff he does in the name of "parenting." Like, "Hey, let's get on the bandwagon and buy dirt bikes and a motorhome and instantly join the dunebuggy crowd!" But I still like him. I thnk it was because I am certain he looked directly at me one time at the Del Mar Fair...while I was enthralled and listening to one of those guys pitching a food chopping machine...

I like your thoughtful piece, Wabbitsd. And I agree about Randy - I just don't listen to him but I think he's harmless. And for all we know he lives with his parents for very compelling reasons unrelated to his supposed immaturity or "mooching".
And I do like Jeff too, because I think he is the only authentic one on the show. He may be a goof but at least he doesn't try (much) to put on airs. JMHO

I thought Randy helps to care for his Mom. I just thought that made it more reasonable that he lives with the parents. Not as funny, so they probably keep it quiet in their weird way.
I think I read this somewhere on this board or the other board a bunch of us used to post on. And, like you said, I don't have a problem with this. Especially if Debbie understands and is willing to care or help care for his parents as well. In my opinion, that is more revealing of good character then what we sometimes see in much of the rest of the Showgram.

I actually like Jeff too, WabbitSD - he's really the only one with any talent - he's very quick-witted and spontaneous.... oh well, I find him pretty funny..... and as far as the divorced Christian thing, I don't know the details on the first marriage, but Nina cheated on him, so you can't blame him for someone else's actions.....
Jer I CAN'T Stand - forced, crude, NOT FUNNY, he actually makes my skin crawl - his picture with Jeff on the homepage is creepy....

Mom2ThreeBoys...was your CAPS comment directed to me? Because I don't think I had commented on the CAPS issue. I thought my intro post was stodgy enough, without me going off on the punctuation issue. You must be a mind-reader.
But, since you addressed me, I'll go ahead and say that I pretty much concur with your usage of caps although I prefer bold; it's prettier. According to the conventions of netiquette, bold denotes emphasis while CAPS denotes shouting. I am trying to refrain from shouting when discussing the J&J folks; they aren't worth the energy.

He was probably scoping out a new wife, and there you were, enjoying his favorite item in the world, a food chopping machine! It was kismet. Luckily, you didn't wind up married to him, praying all weeking and picking bugs out of your teeth on one of their dirt bike vacations.
You guys are right, the bold is prettier than the caps. It takes a bit more effort, but hey, you guys are worth it!:)

The comments about caps were probably directed at me because I did a tirade on caps at one time. Sorry, occupational hazard. I'm in a field where lording it over others about type face and styles affords a senior person a measure of respect. Like insider trading, only different.
I just want to clarify that I didn't buy the chopping equipment, I just love listening to the spiels...like the guy at the swap meet...the canned, monotone speeches...and the older guys who toss in little plays on words. sigh.

First off you crack me up! 2nd I know this is a day late, but I have to add in when I can.
3rd, I went to the same waxing place as Laura for her brazillian and the lady said she was the worst customer/client EVER (proper use of caps?). Anyways she said she was almost upset to have her keep talking about the brazillian 'cause it gave her company a bad name

Laura's taken the HIGH road is the reason she is the situation she is now. It is really disturbing how they are all praising her for being so great. Look she is an almost 40 year old woman who chose a life of partying over her children and family. Granted if she's put that past her then they don't have to keep reminding her of past mistakes but glorifying her now is just wrong. The few people I know who are past addicts will talk solemnly about the bad times if they talk at all. It was an embarassing times in their lives when they made bad decisions and are ashamed of their past behavior. The last thing they want to do is flaunt it and say how great they are now. They know they hurt people they loved and will always regret that.
You reap what you sow. You lie in the bed you made. Etc, etc, etc.
Agreed - bottom line - she's a loser. "Big a good boy Charlie and run to the liquor store for mama's happy juice. Just remember, be back by 11:30pm." I don't want my kids hearing about rehab and drugs - I change the channel now when they're in the car. She thinks she's a great mom because she takes Charlie the Chimp and his gay sidekick Chips Ahoy to the movies and loads them with sugar late in the evening when they should be sleeping. You're the parent - not a cool friend.

how odd was it for Jeff and Jer to be talking to Billy Bush about Lindsay Lohan. What do you think was going through Laura's head during that interview..."gee, Lindsay is so strong for going through this. She's amazing. Going to rehab twice! Wow! No one understands us "big deals." Life is hard and we work really hard. Sometimes the pressure is too much (sniffle sniffle)"
"I need to be hanging out with Lindsay... Maybe she'll give me her stash..."

Grooming her to take over for mommy. She should have baught her one that reads: "Mommy went to rehab because she a drunk junkie and all I got was this stupid shirt and a broken home.":fro:

You ever notice how people going into rehab have a "disease." But people coming out of rehab, are congratulated for their effort? Everyone on that show makes the comment: "I'm so proud of Laura..." For what? It's as if people have no choice becoming addicted, but once there can receive accolades for "conquering" the demons.
I thought addiction was a disease? How can you be proud of someone for "getting well?"
My daughter had the flu last winter. After five days she was better....Man, I'm so proud of her.

The flu is not a disease, alcoholism is a disease. Would you congratulate someone who survived Cancer, which is a disease? I know i would, because they fought a battle and won.

No - I would not congratulate her for her battle to stop being a dumbass. Let her share all of the details before I decide on whether or not it warrants sympathy. She seemed to be able to control the dreaded disease when it suited her, when she needed to put on her little charade. She has some level of control over it. The help she got (aka paid vacation) was out of necessaity - she received an ultimatum, court order, whatever - to initiate the action. It was out of desperation - I guarentee, if it were up to her she'd be looking down the barrel of a cheap bottle of whiskey and chasing that little white line like a ravenous beast. Laura never does anything without a selfish reason. She has no self-control... Knock twice and tell her Boris sent you:wavey2:

Okay, let's list all of the things the cosmetic things that Laura has done to herself in recent memory (most of them at no cost, of course).
1. Cooter waxes
2. Staph infection hair extensions
3. De-horsifying herself with Dr. Bucko treatments
4. Fake-baking
5. Buying tacky, cheap clothing at Walmart (your source for cheap plastic crap)
There's more........I just can't remember all of them. But, at the end of the day, she's still a shallow, worthless person doing nothing to contribute to society.

tabatha you crack me up.
folks who have a "disease" like alcoholism and get themselves sober (and I'm not talking about the summer camp(s) Laura went to) deserve to be regarded as regular folks...not prima donna stars who should be "Congratulated" or fawned over.
That would be the highest compliment, in my book.
If you are a friend or even an acquaintance with "access to this star" you would do her a great favor in telling her that she shouldn't be leaning on her rehab experience to gain points with the public.
I don't think for a minute she has taken it seriously. She likens it to a sorority summer camp, complete with gossip sessions, late nite chat sessions, and bonding with roomies. Why, they even had to ride along the beach to get to and from their meetings! What a sacrifice! Someone cooked for her, someone probably cleaned her room and provided fresh towels. It was a vacation stay. She sucked up someone's resources to gain this experience...and ALL Because she chose self-indulgent and destructive behavior. She is using her kids as crutches, she is setting a questionable situation in her choice of "living situations" and is wallowing in her new-found "Celebrity status," egged on by Fathead who has no moral compass whatsover.
As I have said before, there are many many young people who are working their beehinders off to get into the field she fell into. Many have made sacrifices, many have really worked, and will never have the happenstance luck she had in falling into what she had. She tossed it away...she tossed her relationships with her family, her "public" and everyone else away to feed her self indulgence.
If she wants my respect, she needs to bow out, take a year and be a real person in a real job, where no one will cowtow to her drama queen demands. And she needs to be a parent, not a cool buddy reliving her childhood with her children.
Not that I am prone to long winded rants.

Laura... I mean Tabitha... I want the whole story from her, not the edited, massaged bits and pieces we get to try and keep us listening. If she wants my support, if she insists on making this a public issue (she went on KUSI to get the visual angle because radio waves just weren't enough) - then give us the real story, not what you've conjured up for ratings. In terms of helping people, she has helped dozens of kids now the details of drugs and alcohol, tainting their innocent minds. She has also helped people be great parents, allowing her daughter to play with knives and run around naked, and letting her chimp Charlie roam the neighborhood unsupervised, stay up until all hours of the night without doing his homework, eat candy constantly, go by himself to the liquor story; and of course, she has knapped too long and forgotten to pick him up from school. She has taught young girls the importance of vanity and acting dumb to get attention, and of course, she has taught them how to create slutty outfits for just $73... She is truly a saint. Me? I have just traveled the world helping the needy, breathing life into African babies ion the Congo, taking malaria medication to the natives of the Amazon, smuggling AIDS drugs into Africa, comforting the Pope in his dying hours as he lay naked on his bear skin rug mistaking his thumb for a nipple. Pleased to meet you, hope you guess my name. Boris? Absolutely!

From Tommy's blog this afternoon: I am so happy with the showgram right now! We’re having FUN at work. We all want to be there. In the 19 ½ years I’ve been with Jeff and Jer and that’s not a typo. 19 ½ years is a long time. There have been periods of time, where we wanted to be HOME, just like anyone else. The last few weeks, THE MOOD in the studio is at an all time HIGH in a positive way! We’re just having fun and we are very loose in the studio and that, I HOPE translates to GOOD SHOWS for you, well I HOPE. J
Has anyone been listening and found the show more loose and spontaneous lately? If so, perhaps it's because of us!

Lookie here, a note from Laura:
Why, here's a message from one of the millions I have helped!
"Dear Laura, you've inspired me so much. What did you wear in the Oregon Rehab? I will be going to another court-ordered rehab program soon...I was lucky to get a spot during the summer months...last time it was during the winter, and it was so depressing in Oregon during the rainy season. Hey, can you share your connection on getting 'upgraded' to the one you got to go to in Newport Beach? And how can you sneak in stuff like candy and soda even though it's against the rules? We know the rules are for those other hard core cases, not us, right? wink wink?"

Don't forget she taught parents how to "borrow" money from their kids' piggy banks.

I wish they would tell us more what happened with Laura and Dave. I have the feeling that whatever happened doesn't exactly make Laura the innocent victim of the marriage failure.
She could make a real effort to help others by her experience if she came clean about how she lost out on her marriage and family life due to her addictions. She has undoubtedly hurt her children by her actions in the past. Now she's a weekend parent. We sure wonder why she doesn't live with her children.
She's got the wrong attitude if she looks back on having a great tan while in beach rehab, and about how much fun she had there. That just misses the whole point of the experience.
Lotsa people relapse, and she might too, in spite of Little Tommy being so proud of her, and saying she will succeed where others have failed.

Well wabbitsd...I am so sorry you feel that way. You have such strong emotions about this. I am sure she is helping tons of people out that are going through the same thing.
Wow your judgements about her are so sad and negative. I am just happy to hear that she is trying to turn her life around. I don't have time to dissect her life. It's fun to gossip but you are going way too deep when you don't know her..all you know is the Laura we hear on the radio. wow!
First, the notion of Laura helping "tons" of people. By this Tabatha, I'm going to assume you meant Laura is helping a handful of extremely obese people. Because she is not the pied-piper of sobriety.
In fact, she sure as sh*t is NOT the poster-child for "Losing-my-self-absorbed-attitude-that-allowed-me-to-constantly-place-my-needs-desires-and-wishes-ahead-of-every-other-human-in-my-life-but-I-think-I've-got-it-licked-...How's-my-hair?""
Two other points:
1. You missed my point completely when I discussed the notion of "disease." People who go into rehab seem to circumvent responsibility by declaring the addiction a "disease" -- okay like cancer. As if they had NO PART in the fostering of the disease. IF I knew someone who survived cancer, of course I'd congratulate them BUT if they got it from smoking, I'd assume they'd take some burden of the responsibility.
Drinking and doing drugs is a behavior. NOT STOPPING is an addiction -- there's your disease.
How about, "I started a bad series of behaviors, on my own, by my own free will, but have since gone to rehab to treat the disease I created." "Well, congratulations."
2. The attitude in your quoted comments is absurdly passive-aggressive and rudely dismissive. If you're going to come in and toss opinions, make them strong and original. The site can handle "mean" -- we're big people--we can take it.
However, your "Boy, I feel so sorry for all you angry people," pity-speak is unoriginal and drips with self-deluded piousness.
A name change could be in order....might I suggest "A Sheep in Sheep's Clothing"

I want to make a plea to everyone to quit calling the kids names. I'm sure that school children can get onto this site and it would be a shame to have hurtful labels tossed around about Laura's or anyone else's children even if their parents are intensely disliked.
Pick on the adults all you want, but leave the kids alone. I do get the sense that Laura's son and friend are undisciplined but this is her fault, not theirs. I feel that children should not be running around the work place as they were one day last week. Again Laura's problem.
I taught for 32 years and have seen children's lives made miserable by other children. Adults do not need to contribute to this.

I kinda agree here with Jean - those kids did not choose to be spawned out of that gene pool.
This is one of the reasons why I chose not to be a parent - I knew that I didn't have the patience to raise children, so decided to forgo it - and if I did have them, I wouldn't let them run rampant around my office, and not know where they are 1/2 the time, and fill their heads full of "your Mama is a big deal, now go get me another glass of wine" crap.

I am sure you know what I mean. I should clarify by saying the severity. Geez...all so full of hate! Alcoholism is a horrible thing to go through. I know people with alcoholism and it's not pretty, therefore, i have sympathy for Laura.
The Showgram website currently has Beyonce falling down, Britney's photo shoot breakdown, Lindsay's mugshot, and let's see Laura's got a segment called the Dirt with people to call on to tell celebs bad behavior and oh yeah by the way they have junior listeners dishing dirt now. So to use your logic the showgram is full of hate since they talk about the negative things people do. Where is their sympathy for these people they love to make fun of and call "messes". They think its entertaining to watch people make wrong choices and have meltdowns. So if you like the showgram then you are just as bad as one of us "haters", you just "hate" different people then us.

Because I haven't posted enough in a row I will do one more. Again, the showgram is public and children can hear it and can access the website. When they had the picture of Kelly Clarkson supposedly looking fat and eating a hot dog I emailed Jeff and Jer and asked them to take it down because she looked fine and a lot of teenage girls look up to her. For them to call her fat and put that picture up there only reinforces thoughts in girl's heads that they need to be stick thin or they will not be pretty and be made fun of. Of course, I got no response and the picture stayed up. To me that was one of the more irresponsible things this "it's for the kids" showgram has done along with glamorizing Laura's drug habits and allowing Tommy and Jer to emphasize that boob size is all that matters when it comes to chicks. Boy, my panties are in a wad tonight. Dude, if you think the show is super fantastic then just stay off this site, okay? You are not going to convince us to change our ways. Only Jeff and Jer could do that by putting on an entertaining non drug, sex, boob, hollywood gossip show again. If they do that then we'll start singing their praises like most of us once did.

Laura et al push their kids on us. They are not off limits because their parents decide to place them in the spotlight. Freaking Eddie is getting more face time on the J&J site than anyone else.
I don't agree that just because they are children that they should be off limits for discussion here. Even if there are a few funny names used.

Laura's new home with Tommy fills both of their depraived needs: She needed a place to stay where the owner would put up with her sloppy kids (and they're friends with gay parents) could leave empty juice boxes all over the place - where they could all be the utter slobs that they are.....why does Tommy care - I'm sure he has MerryMaids come over and clean the place every other day gratis from the station. I'm sure she thinks that she and Dave will get back to their "storybook marriage", so she wouldn't want to be stuck in a lease.....we all know that ain't gonna happen, but she can wish it......I wish for a million dollars every day and for J&J to go back to their fun and games, hasn't happened yet, never will.
Toady likes having her there because 1) it supports his "I'm the best guy on the planet" fabricated persona, 2) he at least knows she'll get to work because he wakes her up and drags her there, 3) it gives him stupid stuff to write in his dumber than dumb blog which is running thin on material and 4) he's hoping he gets into her pants, if he hasn't already.
Personally, I think they both deserve each other.....hope they live happily ever after and get themselves a radio gig together out of the reach of our airwaves (I'm thinking Branson might be kinda nice).

Well, I just realized, SHE IS TOTALLY FIXED at this time in her life.
WTF? She's as broken as anyone could be. She's homeless and helpless. She's a self-centered spoiled brat. She spent 3months riding bikes and getting tan in Newport Beach with no responsibilities, no house to clean, no children to care for, nada. She came back to the same thing. She works 4 hours a day (if you can call it work), goes home and naps, shops for clothes, goes tanning, and then has Tommy buy her dinner and pay for movies. Hell, she even has him waking her up and driving her to work. That's fixed??????

I am hardly Michelle aka THAT GIRL. I am 40 and married...too old for Tommy tho I don't believe the married part is an issue for him. But back when Tommy was going thru his divorce and I was going thru mine (and we did not know he was such an ass then) I emailed him to say that I was sorry and could relate to going through a divorce. This was 4-5 yrs ago, so again, he the domestic violence stuff was not public then either. Anyway, he emailed me back and basically was "doing the make" on me in an email. I thought I must have misinterpreted things but my friends read his message to me and confirmed it.
Anyway, my question for Tommy.....why don't you ever mention academics and your kids? We know Eddie is a skateboarder and vanessa is a a cheerleader, but no talk about education. Yet, we know that at age 12 she shops at MAC (I have never bought anything there in my life) orders room service as she pleases, knows all about private planes and limos and is daddy's girl. What about cultivating her brain so she has something to offer other than those boobs from Dr Bucko you may purchase for her for HS graduation.

You know, that was mean for me to bring in Vanessa...sorry to Dannell if you are reading. But would it be a bad idea to stress academics or even the importance of earning one's own money. Hell, I was babysitting up a storm at age 12. All I ever hear is the overindulging...which leads right into a sense of entitlement.
BTW, the whole trampoline and skateboard ramp in the front would piss me off as a neighbor. The noise is outrageous and seriously, there's quite a liability issue there too. What's next... Tommy's pool is as equally secure and available to the neighbor kids.

Tommy: “I have a great family! Have I mentioned my mom and how hard my childhood was?”
Randy: “My childhood is almost over! I’m thinking about moving out of my home after 43 years. Have I mentioned my wonderful girl, Debbie?”
Jeff: “I know all about great families!! I have five beautiful children being raised by three different mom’s. I learned how to be a great Dad for multiple families in church!”
Jer: “I know all about moms! They have big jugs!! Did I mention I’m an alcoholic and I get most of my jokes from on-line resources?”
Tommy: “My brother was an addict. Did I mention that 74 times? Plus, I had to eat rice and hot dogs alot. Anyone want to hear why I’m fat?”
Jeff: “I read a great book on that! ‘Christians Who Get To Say Anything Because They Are Never Called Out For Being A Hypocrite’I used to be fat too. But, Jesus saves millionaire sleep-walkers!”
Laura: “Does Sleep-Train sponsor rehab-divorce assistance-acting sessions-while I wish I could be Kelly Rippa- classes?”
Stay tuned next week when the “best of Jeff And Jer” finishes playing while our “heroes” vacation in Italy-Tennessee-Disneyland-Chula Vista- and Betty Ford!

2) And speaking of Sad cubed, here's a toast for my new favorite word blogemia and to BecInCa for the companion word blogarhea.
3) jake - I really liked your wording of the disease VS bad choices post a few pages back. I doubt that laura, I mean Tabatha, will get the difference, but I did.
4) Tabatha/Laura/Showgram Lacky -- You are a crashing bore and you have no idea what this board is all about. This is not a board about hate, and as my new best board-pal Saddy MacSaderson has so aptly pointed out, if you want to see hate, go to the J/J website. Make sure you don't accidently click on Jeff's boring vacation photos, though. Even you don't deserve that sort of punishment.
5) I have no idea what is freakier -- Laura's daughter's Tee Shirt (thanks for the laugh about that, Boris) or Tommy's claim that Laura is fixed.

You don't get it tabatha23! You can can't catch alcholism nor spread it, thus not a disease, a freakin choice! You can never be an alcholic or druggie if you never choose to take the first drink or first drug. Rehab is not for getting better, they would go out of business if they really cured someone. They want the person to feel that it isn't their fault, their choice but rather a terrible disease that they have no control over. Wake up!

Himmie posits: You can can't catch alcholism nor spread it, thus not a disease, a freakin choice!
Let's see. I'm familiar with multiple sclerosis, Lou Gherig's Disease (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, cancer, Chron's Disease, Celiac Disease, multiple dystrophy, cystic fibrosis, cerebral palsy, diverticular disease, polymyalgia rheumatica, Alzheimer's disease, and osteoporosis... all diseases and all non-contagious. A freakiin choice? I don't think so, and neither do the doctors or the people who have these diseases. Alcoholism has been classified as a disease as surely as those listed above. However, one may not know he/she has it until they take that first drink and it could be a long time before they get help for it. And that "getting help" is a choice, as it is for other diseases.
Now back to the spewgram, please.

I think they rely on their listeners thinking that the Spewgram is extremely original, and basically, that they're dumber than Krusten's backwoods family. Well, J&J - your listeners aren't dumb, and yes, we have all of our teeth (unlike Jeff's in-laws).
Unfortunately, they also know that there isn't a whole lot of competition, so people put up with the ho-hum because the majority only listen for a short period of time (drive time). And they realize that a lot of us work flexible hours, so they can rerun the tired old crap tomorrow at 9 that they ran at 7 today.
But, the biggest travesty here is that J&J are just too lazy to give a crap. They're short timers and will be replaced by some other team in what is probably the near-term. Clear Channel may be thinking now that the replacement is going to be the "Toady and Horsey" show - who knows.
And let's face it - their advertisers are small operators - you don't hear big companies sponsoring their show - you never hear "Today's news brought to you by Qualcomm" - it's usually small-time companies.....Dr. Bucko, Bardon Cabinets - whatever. They live for the negative, as well - whoever heard of Dr. Bucko before Laura started harping it? Bardon Cabinets - what? Never heard of them either. So, the unenlightened who want their facial creases filled with their own assfat will think first of Dr. Bucko (instead of picking up a Reader and finding a fine plastic surgeon in TJ).

The monkey boy - our friend Chaka te Pakuni- was loose again last night. Fist he escaped and roamed the station studio unsupervised with his side-kick Chips A-Hoy the Cookie Boy; now he ran up and down the aisles, out of control, at the premiere of the Simpsons movie. I would never let my son do that and act so blatantly inappropriately. My son is only a year older than the chimp, and he would be embarrassed to act that way. But when your crack head mom gives you no rules or barriers, you can't be expected to act civilized. He, like his mom, seems to crave attention - maybe it's all the drugs and alcohol he ingested in womb. Dave needs to step in and tame the beasts before its too late. Getting back with Laura is like playing chicken with a semi. And with her recent weight gain and chunklification - it's just about the same thing, right Tabitha?

All parents should be gay - you mean happy, right? Maybe Chips A-Hoy and Chim Charlie are aspiring lovers. Ahh, young love. It gives us hope doesn't it? If George Bush and Bin Laden were gay lovers, we'd live in paradise.

First of all - George Bush, like him or not, has to do with a lot of things. He's one of the most powerful individuals in the word, right after Montel, Howard Stern, Hugh Heffner, Sponge Bob, the Green Hornet, Tom Wopatt, and myself. He has to do with everything, especially if he were gay and "sharing turbins" with Bin Laden. Target in sight, hit seeking manhood engaged, contact! Secondly, the kids are thrust into the spotlight, made into spectacles by attention seeking Laura. They are fair game! And I support their growing love. In fact, I just sent a new book over to the station: "When my best friend has two daddies, Father's Day is always a blast."

He has cool posters of Boy George, Barry Manilow, Barbara Streisand, Bette Midler, and Madonna. Someday, Chips is going to get to meet Rosie O'Donnell and go one a cruise with her. Tabatha, you're right the people on the showgram are soooo great. I'm sure they are helping a lot of people by making fun of a fat kid (which is sad because it looks like another kid whose parents are taking care of them the way they should...hmmm kinda like some radio people I know).

Huh? One of Tommy's sisters is Rickie Lake's stunt double, and the other is a professional belly dancer and bouncer at Pacers. Why would I want to discuss them? This morning Laura was once again being a saint, a true giver, and helping out a fellow woman. The issue" how to battle the ever challenging issue of thongs that are too narrow in the front section." The image of Laura in a thong forced me to pull over nad put my head between my knees (no I am not refering to some kinky escapade by Chips; two dad!) Laura has no business in a thong - even though she's rushing to Nordstrom after the show to spend $20 on one pair! Hey, rent free at Tommy's saves some cash! Laura in a thong is like Mr. Ed in a harness - grotesque, absurd, and prone to chafing.

First of all - I hate American Idol - aka - "Let's manufacture talent." This morning's bit about the 16 year old opera singer was so fake. There's no way that boy (girl?) was 16. Second - he could not sing like that. It was fake. Afterwards, they did not even say anything - they went right to commercial and that was it. Lame - do sadistic stuff to Randy or bring back the Talk to Tuesday bits. The show needs some humor.

I am not going to be listening to the J&J Show on Monday morning because I just cannot understand what all the hype is about that show....and I know they will just go on and on and on and on and on about AI auditions for the whole 4 hours! And then we'll have the rehash of all the contestants on Tuesday......almost makes you want them to just play "Best of..." instead!
Anyone have suggestions as to what I can listen to on my drive besides "J&J-pimp-AI"?

Well said. if you've seen one American Idol season, you've seen them all. Itis the same thing every year. The same characters over and over. The same commments, the same songs. I watched the show Rock Star and it was more exciting, and had better talent. I would suggest listening for 105.7.

From IMDB (re: Simpson's movie):
Sex & Nudity
Contains some mild innuendo and a brief, naturalistic depiction of Bart's genitals as he skateboards naked across Springfield (as a series of obstacles conceal his genital area, they are briefly unconcealed).
Violence & Gore
Contains occassional mild animated violence throughout the movie. The violence is not bloody in nature.
Profanity
Contains mild language (e.g. ass, bastard etc.)
Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking
Contains one brief depiction of drug use (i.e. Otto lights up a bong).

Classy! And they all thought it was funny when Bart showed his "junk." Good values Laura. Stop being their friend and start parenting. My kids would've been taken home and sent to their rooms for that behavior. But then Laura wouldn't have been able to make her grand appearance at the premiere. Selfish people create selfish kids. A little from my favorite part of Laura's Diary,
"You hurt my feelings, Momma, you hurt my feelings! I want you to apologize!" (said Evan after Laura yelled at her for being a 3 yr old)
A three year old is telling me to apologize for being a parent!
Of course she is telling her to apologize! If you all of a sudden decided to act like a parent ONCE. The kid isnt going to understand, she has not set herself up to be a parent, who regulates and shows authority with her children. She is a guilty, selfish parent trying to win over her children. Why would she think Evan would all of a sudden listen to a stranger acting as a parent?
and jebus, how many movies do these kids go see?

ELM MOTT, Texas - "A Navy man who got mad when someone mocked him as a "nerd" over the Internet climbed into his car and drove 1,300 miles from Virginia to Texas to teach the other guy a lesson.
As he made his way toward Texas, Fire Controlman 2nd Class Petty Officer Russell Tavares posted photos online showing the welcome signs at several states' borders, as if to prove to his Internet friends that he meant business.

Since I'm quite new to this board, and curious by nature, I went back and randomly read pages from 2005 and 2006... very interesting! Many of you were posting back then, and the same issues with Laura kept coming up then as now: her unabashed vanity, her total lack of parenting skills (I mean her frightening parenting), her naps, the alcohol abuse, etc. etc. Excerpts from her diary were very telling. So nothing has changed, then to now, except that maybe - hopefully - she's not drinking or using.
It doesn't sound like she ever was a good parent and it doesn't seem like she's getting any good guidance or advice now either. If there's a custody issue, maybe the court can force her to take parenting classes or something, but I doubt that will help. She's too caught up in herself to really think through how she's messing up her kids -- one dysfunctional interaction or example after another.

....you forget that these people are "special" - they don't have to follow rules. They put skateboard ramps in their front yard (which I'm SURE is in violation, at least, of CCRs), they TP people's houses (if anything, that's at least creating a public nuisance), etc. And the REALLY stupid thing (sorry for the caps) is that he tells everyone he's done it (so that we all wish we were him because he's so cool). Is it just me or does Charlie seem a little immature?
Boris asked this...and I meant to respond to it sooner...I've always thought it was absurd the way J&J (mainly Jeff) talked about how smart and advanced Charlie is. That kid has been exposed to things that are inappropriate, and way too adult in nature, for his entire life. That doesn't make him a child prodigy, or advanced for his age. It makes him "wise" beyond his years in a very negative way. Children who have parents who rely on them for support, and who aren't treated like kids, are essentially robbed of their childhood. I'm thrilled to death that my son's biggest worries in life are what stuffed animal to sleep with at night, or whether he wants grilled cheese, or eggs for breakfast.
Laura's kids seem to be parenting her, which is pathetic...and I wonder why Laura's mother, or other family members don't step in and say/do something.

Okay, if you are brave enough to tune in for Monday's Poogram (sic), you should know that Jeff mentioned earlier that his oldest daughter (Katie?) is a huge American Idol fan and is coming to town to see the audition. Maybe she will be on the show? But the thing is that she will have her kid, ie: Jeff's Grandchild along. I will be tuning in just to hear if they discuss the family members and if they use the "G" word.
Yes, I meant to write Poogram, it wasn't like I can't find the r key on my keyboard.

I found this board about 2 months ago when I googled Laura Cain. After reading some of the posts, I just had to go back to page 1 and read it all! It's amazing how you guys were guessing on the alcohol and drug issues way back then!
When I finally caught up with you guys on page 105 or so, I couldn't post because of that glitch they had!
Jake, Boris and Wabbit you guys are the best!
Welcome back ItzmeTom! I remember your posts and your great!

:thumb: listener13, you hit the nail on the head!
Too bad the nail wasn't in Jer's head.
Gather round for a story: A few years back I was in downtown La Jolla (on Girard) at this nice gift store/Rx place known as Burns Drugs. I think Jerry plugs them a lot, good place to spend some time and money. Anyway, Jerry and Pam were in there shopping. I was there with a 2-year-old (my daughter). It was right before Christmas, like Dec 23 maybe. Anyway, they decorate the shizznit over the whole store. There is tons of stuff for a 2-year-old to grab, look at, etc.
Luckily, my daughter was on her best behavior, we ran in to get a card for something and were standing in line, and then Jer and Pam got in line right behind us. They were dressed as if they were going to a holiday party. Jer wearing an x-mas sweater and Pam was wearing some loud holiday vest. By dressing that way they were really calling attention to themselves, but it was the holiday season.
My daugther was staring at them. It was at that time that I recognized it was Jer from the Jef&Jer show. This was the first time I had seen Jer in person, but I knew exactly who it was. Of course he didn't know who I was, didn't know if I was a listener or tourist or what. I was secretly hoping that my daughter wouldn't start pointing and say something like "Santa?". They were both dressed like Santa's helpers at the workshop. Pam seemed nice and was smiling at my kid, I think she might have a fondness for kids? But Jerry pretty much ignores anything without
B()()Bs.
So, that is my story and I'm sticking to it. Hope it entertains everyone reading on this slow Saturday. I bet y'all are at the "Q". - NOT!

Hey Tommy this is for you,
I was listening to one of the shows bits on Friday and I just thought you might want to explain to Hairless Intern Pacey what a "Bit" is. When Laura, or should I say Mother of the Year (according to Jeff), I guess my wife could never be Mother of the year since she does not do drugs, she does not forget to pick up our kids from school, she does teach our kids about Lottery tickets, and of course we are both terrible parents since our 10 year old child does not go to PG-13 movies let alone run down the aisles.... But I digress.
When Laura was telling us 11 listeners that Pacey had to pay for her concessions at the movie premier of the Simpsons because she forget her wallet (Mother of the Year???), Pacey qucikly chimed in that he had a credit card that he can deduct. When Jeff asked what he meant he restated that he has a credit card for company expenses.
Now Tommy if Pacey is telling us all about his credit card some how I think I am going to go out on a limb and say that you have one to? So the $5k that you would have paid to thank you party if you did not lose the weight would not have been on that card? These little feast for 146 walkers not being financed by Clear Channel? Cmon were not that dumb are we?
Here is an interesting story that happened to me a couple of years ago. It shows how all these radio shows are fake, and they use each other's stories. In this case Jeff and Jer were the "sellers", but I'm sure they are also "buyers".
Anyway, a couple of years ago I was in the Boston area on a business trip. It was right around the time that Tommy was thinking about getting his ex-girlfriend's name tattooed on him. This was that girl Sharlo, not the car wash girl.
I was in my hotel room and decided to set the clock radio to wake me up the next morning. I found a radio station that played music, set the alarm for 6 am and went to sleep. The next morning, the clock radio alarm went off at 6 am and woke me up. The morning show was just starting, and the hosts came on talking about what was coming up that morning. To my surprise they said the following "Also coming up, we will talk to a guy who is debating whether to get a tattoo of his ex-girlfriend's name, and her name is Sharlo". In my naivitee, I thought "Oh wow, Tommy is going to my on", but I was disappointed because I figured he would not be on until later in the show, given the time difference, and I would not be able to hear it.
So, I was suprised again, when at 6:30 they said: "coming up next we will talk to the guy thinking about getting a tattoo of his ex-girlfriends name. I thought "Wow Tommy is up early to talk about this". I was stunned when it came on, and they were talking to a completely different guy, who was using Tommy's exact story, down to the same name. I was completely stunned, because I didd not realize how fake these shows really are.
Anyway, I realize that this is not a case of a fake Jeff and Jer story (which would have been even better), but I thought it was interesting nonetheless.
Reading this forum has confirmed to me that Jeff and Jer are no better that these other fake shows, even though they do a pretty good job of sounding authentic.

Ohmiheck! (Thought I'd bring that saying back from the archives)
I know the shows are full of contrived stuff but what CJ just said about the same show he heard in Boston floored me. Remember the Cow Plop Bingo years ago? That was a fake because the guy whose ranch it was on (I ran into him a few months after the bit) said Tommy was indeed at his ranch but he made the whole thing up (like a play-by-play SORT OF SPEAK without the game).
So we have some crafty acting here. Though in Laura's case, I think I've seen some of her acting work on Stu Segall shows aand she ain't any good.
Oh, remember the bitch of a woman who stole the parking place at UTC and that whole on-air thing MANY years ago? In the end, Jer went off on her. That had to have been made up too.

I heard the kidney stone story in another city. Tommy having stones may have been real but the way they played it and the way they had people call in was the same.
I'm sure their excuse could be it's like t.v. it's not real it's entertainment. That would be okay if they were actually entertaining.

Hey tom, don't you remember me? I was there too.
Anyway, Laura just keeps on giving up ammunition for us to take shots at her. Telling everyone about how bad of a parent she is and how great it was to show Bart Simpson's junk to all her kids.
I wouldn't worry about her daughter seeing the junk. Didn't they all run around naked at the house a while back? Besides, the "little lady" is going to see a bunch of junk in her life when she starts up her new career.

I remember when i found out that our Jingle Ball isn't the only Jingle Ball out there... that they are in every major city in the US. Granted, they all support a local charity of the town they are in, but STAR passed it off like they invented the idea in order to fund Becky's house.
Almost all their bits are fake, contrived, etc... so my question is, was "Becky" fake?
I've never quite understood why an abused woman would call a radio show in order to ask for advice about getting out of an abusive relationship. I know they had their go-to psychologist chick on there at the time to answer relationship questions, but it still seemed far too private and dangerous of a problem to discuss in a public forum like that.
Also... shall we start the bets on how many hours of the showgram they will dedicate to American Idol tomorrow? I saw 3.75. The first three will be live discussion, then the other 0.75 will be replays of what they already said, so the showgram can go home at 8:59 am.

Oh my gosh, I never thought of that, but do you think that it might have been fake? That would be horrible; I mean, it's great to have a shelter for women/children, but could they possibly sink so low as to make up a story like that for ratings? I've heard them say a few times over the years that the real Becky has checked in with them a once or twice and is doing well. I don't want to be so jaded that I think they'd stoop this low. Anyone have any scoop on this?

Advanced Copy for Monday's Showgram
Jer: [American Idol music playing] "Okay folks, this has never happened before! American Idol is auditioning people in San Diego! They've never auditioned people before in any major city like the one in the bottom left-hand corner of America! So, here's the deal: they will audition people and people will sing. Then, after they sing, they will audition people again. So what we have is, they audition people and people sing. After the break, what we have is the audition and singing and stuff like that, and then we'll interview some morons and listen to them tell us what we just heard on the radio in an exclusive interview where they tell us what they sang after we hear them sing....after we hear these brief commercials."
Jeff: "We may be 3 million strong, but we're small-town and proud of it! We're 'family' driven and 'value-centered' and my daughter Katie and her kids and her kid's kids and my kids Mark and Laura and Elizabeth and my other kids from my other family are here to verify why we are a 'values-driven' city of small-town-people-in-a-big-town-world!"
Laura: "I can sing pretty good when I'm slammed at the Lamplighter!"
Tommy: "Paul McCartney could sing. He'd still be a super-star if he hadn't married that blood-sucker Heather."
Jeff: "Nothing says 'family' like spending every Tuesday and Wednesday night ignoring homework and other worthwhile activities in order to watch and listen to vain and vapid, talentless, 20-year-olds screaming other artist's songs in a vain effort to be popular in our narcissistic culture!"
Jer: "Keep on rockin in a free world dudes!"
Laura: "I can sing pretty good when I'm slammed at Elephant Bar."
Tommy: "There's a hot girl with big breasts auditioning right now who drives a Trans-Am. Any one listening who knows her? Please call the show-gram and I'll give you tickets to 'Captain and Tenille.'"
Jer: "I'd love to see her Captain and Tenilles!!!"
All: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
Jeff: "In this world of sorrow and struggles, nothing redeems mankind more than the ability to sing a song without a message or protest, to simply perform a song titled 'S-I-N-G'"
Laura: "I can sing pretty good when I'm slammed at the Purse party."
Tommy: "I saw a blonde at the purse party. She had a black mini-skirt on. Anyone listening who knows her please call in and I'll hook you up with tickets to 'Rush --The Musical'."
Jer: "Today's show will review the 26,732 pathetic losers who think the secret to life is found in auditioning for a television show that is nothing more than a high-school talent show gone bad."
Jeff: "That's what makes this country so great! Every day is a new chapter in our lives. We can turn the page on the previous day and discard anything we found we couldn't handle! I've turned the page on two different women already and can't wait to see the next chapter in my God-driven, Rick-Warren-Purpose-driven life!"
Laura: "I have a purpose in life! I'm supposed to ruin four friendships, two kids, one mom, one sister, one brother, four co-workers, and a marriage, by being a self-absorbed, narcissistic, celebrity-wanna-be, with no talent beyond the ability to read copy in a nasal, twang that annoys-the-****-out-of-everyone voice!"
Randy: "What's so bad about a nasal-twang-that-annoys-the-****-out-of-everyone-voice?"
Jeff: "The hopes and dreams of thousands of people will be realized today! That's what makes our small-town and our show-gram so special! We asked our Mayor to write a letter and he did! And today, we're here at the stadium pretending we had something to do with this pathetic waste of time that will draw 4 television stations and 11 listeners and make us look great -- just like when we created Becky's House -- which was copied from a non-profit organization in Albany, New York but we could use the publicity more so we pretended we were inventing something new!"
Jer: "That's right! We don't want men abusing the women whose breasts and high-heels we worship! Objectifying women is worse than eating eggs!"
Laura: "I can sing pretty good once I clear my sinus cavity from the 'white-dance-of-divorce'."
Jeff: "Before we go, let's listen once again to the beautiful voices of the most talented people in America...our big-city-with-small-town-values-wanna-be-High School-Musical-rejects-with-Alicia-Keys-warbling-voices...!"
Jer: "Keep on rockin in the Free World Dudes!!"
Jeff: "We're Jeff and Jer and this has been the worst day in your lives!!!"
Randy: "See ya!"
Laura: "Actually, the worst day was when I lost my dime-bag while sending Charlie to the liquor store cause Evie was peeing outside the 'Divorce-assistance' office......."

So after being slightly voyaristic and reading these posts for a month or so, I finally had a reason---other than jumping into the mob-like atmosphere to beat Laura up (I'm on the fence about that one)---to add something.
Last night I met up with an old friend and in the middle of dinner she asked me, "Do you know who Tommy's new girlfriend is?" She told me it was a relative of hers ---Michelle.
My friend figured it out because I guess there was a kid named 'Zach' on the show Friday- I only caught a minute or two- and they used him in a bit singing opera. Only the child is Michelle's son and my friend called her relative after recognizing the child's voice and asked her if she was 'That Girl?" She confirmed it.
I've met Michelle a couple of times- real pretty blond, graduated from Santana High, many new body parts, in her 30's and she likes to date San Diego bigwigs, a bit of a star-you-know-what.
She first dated Michele Tuck after her divorce and I believe they were engaged until she met Junior Seau and dated him for a long while. And now it's Tommy-who she met walking Cowles Mountain
Anyway, I thought I would add my discovery. Oh yes, according to Michelle, they haven't even kissed. I told my friend I would email her the 'don't date Tommy' site.
That's it- she is real...so to speak.

I don't like to talk about people I don't know (oh, wait a minute, actually I really do) but I've heard about these types of women before. They "arrange" their meeting up with celebrities and kind of worm their way into their lives (ie Bonny Lee Bakley). She just happened to meet up with him while walking Cowles Mountain? I think not. She probably planned to start walking there specifically to meet Fathead. That's ok in my book though, especially when it comes to FH, he deserves to be "used" as much as he "uses". You go Michelle!!! Get as much out of him as you can, If you have to subject yourself to even kiss his ugly, bloated mug I'd say go for at least mid-size car!

Boris: Nah, she's just fat.
I just looked at the photos that they took at American Idol today - couple of things struck me - photos 13 and 31 with FH - if this is what he looks like AFTER he lost weight, I can only imagine what he looked like before. To me, he looks like an Ompaloompa without the orange hair. In 31, he's got more Chins than a Chinese phone book.
And Laura - seriously, anyone takes out a camera, and that girl poses. She totally needs to be in some sort of "All About Me" 12-step program.
As for Michelle - THAT GIRL - I hope that she looks at this site, and www.dontdatehimgirl.com - because seriously, if you've gone through ALL of the celebrities, quasi-celebrities, and D-listers in this town, and Tommy is left - you should consider switching teams - besides, women won't treat you like dirt, like FH is going to within the next 3-4 months. Hurry - get your luxury vehicle fast before he starts smacking you around (oh, that reminds me, look him up on the county website too - he's had a few domestic altercations with ex-spouses, etc.)

If LAURA is in fact pregnant, for the sake of the child, I hope she stopped using way before she became pregnant.
As to TOMMY and Domestic Violence, why is everyone surprised? He grew up without a father, he drinks heavily and probably (or as some of you would put it, "Does In Fact") uses some other drug. Frankly, I am surprised he still has custody of his kids.
As to JEFF, I would not be surprised if he has had hair replacement surgery. He has already admitted to replacing his teeth.

I'm guilty of it too! I had fun with it for awhile and found several surprising bits about people I knew personally. Then I got tired and quit altogether.
On another note: I don't think Laura is pregnant. THe type of top she likes wearing these days can make you look pregnant. That, or maybe she truly is. We'll see.
Think it's a "rehab baby"???? :)

Hi Im new to the board and was referred to a friend to this site. I grew up listening to Jeff N Jer and stopped when I moved to Missouri back in 03. When I heard about Laura going to rehab I was shocked but then it all kind of made sense once I started reading this board and remembering back to the shows. I am glad I don't have to listen to that train wreck anymore. although somebody did mention last week shipping them off to Branson, and if they came to Branson well Im close enough to that city that I'd have to hear them...blah!
Anyways I can't believe that they still have not shared Laura's story and it does seem like Laura to make it all about herself. She could be just as popular helping other women who have the same addictions and educating kids on the effects of being a druggie/alcoholic. She could be a "big deal" for changing her life around and turning a negative experience in her life into something positive and instead she is introducing the simpson movie....very sad...Its sad that one day her children are going to realize what a horrible parent she is...by then though they will probably be parenting her. I'm 23 but Im pretty sure I could raise those kids a hell of a lot better than she can sober. Those kids are going to end up being just like her unfortunately....unless something changes...
What sickens me about it all is that Im in my last semester of college and my degree is in media productions. My goal in life was to be a radio dj because I love music and I love to talk but if the Jeff and Jer show is the type of show people listen to and enjoy well I am seriously reconsidering that dream of mine. It's discouraging that people like Laura get praise for being a screw up when there are plenty of qualified people like Delana that could take her position. Im not sure if the station they work for is clear channel or not but I applied for an internship with the clear channel station in Missouri and they are a drug free workplace. I find itironic that she was able to keep her job even though they are supposed to be drug free. Anyways I wrote a book I just have been reading for the last couple weeks and wanted to introduce myself once I finally was caught up reading the posts....so hi Im sure u will hear from me more....

I took Evan and Charlie to the Bodies Exhibit at UTC on Saturday. The tickets were expensive... 26 bucks for me, a little less for the two kids. It wasn't until we were halfway through the thing that I realized I didn't have to buy Evan a ticket. Kids under 3 were free. Dangit. I was too lazy and too overcome with kids to go back and ask for my money back...... Of course there was a gift shop at the very end of the thing, so I told the kids they could pick something out. Charlie picked up a 16 inch skeleton, that he named Tim. Evan picked up a pair of eyeballs. I felt so proud of myself for buying them educational toys, but then it dawned on me that my kids were carrying around bones and eyeballs. Hmmmm.
Okay, I don't get it. I'm a Mom. A Single Mom. I think I qualify to talk about this...
First, I don't think I would take my 9 year old son to this exhibit. Didn't Jeff tell everyone that this wasn't appropriate for little kids???
Second, who doesn't think to check their kid's ages against the pricing list to see how much it's going to cost before handing over the credit card?
Third, she's just now thinking about buying her kids educational toys????
Fourth, why the heck is she so lazy? And always mentioning how she needs a nap? I work full-time, care for my son full-time and I manage without "pillow-time" every afternoon....
Ack! She truly is "Mother of the Year", huh? God help us all....

Hello All -
I am a long-time lurker, first time poster. I love this board! I have finally decided to chime in with my two cents about my disappointment/aggravation/anger with the "showgram". I used to live in San Diego and would listen to J&J on my drive to work.
One morning several years ago, I turned on my radio and J&J had posed a question to their listeners. The question was this: "What's the first thing you know?" So, J&J had all sorts of experts calling in about "the first thing that people know". Neonatal nurses were calling in stating that they first thing we know is cold, hunger, warmth, etc. Psychoanalists called in with early versions of Dr. Phil and their explanations of the "first thing we know". This went on for my entire 45 minute commute when it was finally revealed what "the first thing we know" is...are you ready for spiritual enlightenment, friends? The first thing we know is..."ol' Jeb's a millionaire!" The lyrics from the Beverly Hillbillies! What a load of crap. Jerry had been spouting off all of his pseudo-intellectual B.S. Jeff was channeling heavenly spirits...all the while, this was the stupid prank. They were so proud of themselves for stringing people along all this time.
Believe me, I had no desire to know what the answer to the question was, I was just so mad at myself for wasting my time listening to that drivel. That was the beginning of the end for me.
They are all self-serving, self-promoting idiots...completely perfect for their roles as "entertainers". I know lots of radio people and they are all the same...who do these people think they are? It is amazing to me.
Anyway, thanks for letting me rant. I really enjoy reading what everyone has to say.

Hello All -
Laura Cain is a HORRIBLE mom. 'Nuff said.
SDtoOC[/FONT]
Okay....Jake gets serious: ....Laura Cain is a desperate mom -- not a "horrible" mom. A "horrible" mom is an abusive mom... a mom that neglects her children. LauraCain is more or less, a victim of her own limited ability as a human adult.. and thus, we hate the by-product of such a person.
What is so very annoying is.... she plays the role of "in-control," "I'm a big deal" fool.
Generally speaking, people hate three things:
1. "Got it all figured out" phonies (like Jeff);
2. "I'm so hip and you're not" phonies...like Jerry; and,
3. "No matter what my age...I'm hip" phonies....like Laura.
Real life indicates:
1. Jeff hasn't a clue and refuses to admit he's a f***ed up child-adult.
2. Jerry is a mysoginistic, pretentious, buffoon who presumes money offsets being an a**hole.
3. Laura, fears aging, maturity and adulthood, all the while protecting herself under the "my daddy died too soon," bullsh*t excuse that explains --rather than excuses her interrupted development.
Her kids are beginning to appear pathetic...only because their behavior resembles her flaws as an adult. She is shallow, materialistic, limited in thought, and, unwilling to admit weakness. Other than that... she acts like she "gets it."
There are more than 6 billion people on the planet. Everyone was born to someone and everyone was someone's "special child." Dropping crotch-fruit is not that special....being an adult is...
Jake has flaws...Jake can accept them...Jake is not a big deal....Is that too much to ask of others?

Hi - I have to say that the Bodies exhibit is OK for kids. I have gone with mine and they really enjoyed it. (Jeff and Jer were actually commenting on the fact that it is appropriate). It is very educational - it gives kids an appreciation of anatomy and the intricacies of the body. No blood and gore. But come on, to be so lazy and to have so little respect for money - that is pathetic.

Okay so being a mom is a challenge sometimes but no matter how hard I try I just cannot identify with anything Laura says or does when it comes to parenting. And her talking about how expensive the movies are or going to the Body exhibit is just so unbelievable when she wouldn't think twice about dropping a hundred bucks on a belt for herself. I work full time, take care of the kids, don't have a maid or a nanny and I manage to not bitch every minute of the day. I choose my life and I am happy. Laura....stop the victim of life crap!
The people I really pity in this situation are Charlie and eventually Evan's teachers and fellow students. One of my closest friends is a teacher and these are the type of kids who make the learning environment difficult. I'm sure Laura is also the type of parent who gets called into a parent-teacher conference and blames the teacher for all the kids issues instead of taking some reponsibility and actually parenting their child.
Excuse me now while I go drive my kids to TP someone's house and let my kid run around the supermarket aisles knocking things off shelves.

Le's say she FORCED herself to nap in the sun for fifteen to twenty minutes a day, right as she got off work, during peak tan times...and she didn't have to pay for the tanning sessions. She could get two in one there, a nap and a tan.
There's a shole lotta dough freed up to spend for kid time.

Well, if you read Laura's diary - you'll see that she is back to her old self - complaining about not having any money (even though she did not get her refund at the Bodies Exhibit), not feeling well, and being tired. In other words, she's off the wagon. Apparently, Tommy was sick on the couch this morning with the same thing - aka a hangover. She even brought a pillow to work to sleep in the car. Classy!

I agree. Also, think about it: If Laura was still getting paid while in rehab, and she's no longer blowing it all on booze and drugs - she's got to be rollin' in dough right now. Especially if her income is not contributing to the family expenses right now. So although it is irresponsible to just throw money away, maybe she can afford it. Sorry if this has already been discussed.

Wait. Now she's taking dancing lessons? Those don't cost any money. You know what I'm just sick of these people and their narcissism. You guys are hysterical but I'm not going to waste anymore of my time thinking about the crap they put out on the San Diego airwaves anymore and the great examples they are setting for us all. she's never worn a ring, well she did for a short time a couple years ago when DaveCain finally bought her one. Certainly not defending her as I don't think she really puts much effort in to her husband or kids. She is a lousy excuse for a mother and wife, I have never understood mothers who are constantly out with their friends instead of being home with their families. Of course I understand the need to be able to get out and do your own thing once in a while but once in a while does not mean every night!! She's an idiot and should not be allowed to call herself a mother just because she gave birth.

You know something is amiss in life when you bring a pillow to work so you can sleep in the car in between appointments and picking up the kids because you want to save gas money. That's what it's come to.
Oh my gosh, Laura is so relateable! She is just like every other busy struggling single mother. Oh, except she only has to work 4 hours a day...and um, oh! She makes bank, gosh I guess there is that other devoted parent who is still with the kids half the time too. OOOO...well, she also prob doesnt pay rent.
Honestly. WHAT. THE. HELL. Trying to save gas money? What the hell is she talking about? I am not a single mother, but if I were I would be very insulted at the role Laura is playing. There are women out there struggling, actually struggling, yet she whines about her tough life, as she sits in her comfy chair at her cushy job, and has enough TIME, real TIME to spend with her children. While there are real single mothers who don't have anyone to pick up their slack who work 10 hours a day, just to keep a roof over their head then do everything around the house and still help their kids with their homework at the end of the day. Laura needs to shut it, and be thankful for everything she has, even if she materially has less than before she screwed everything up.
end rant.

Yeah, okay - that's after I take my nap, go clothes shopping, spend several hundred dollars taking my kid(s) to the movies and to exhibits....
Oh wait - that's Laura!
My evening will consist of picking up my kid from daycare, making dinner, walking the dog, doing laundry, making sure my kid reads AND takes a bath before his bedtime and then (maybe) catching an hour on the computer to try to get up to speed on the world....all that after working a full 8 hour day!

Laura seems to lack self awareness. Doesn't realize how bad she looks and sounds. If she did, I'm sure she'd censor herself a bit more about the no money for gas, but having money for dance lessons and tanning. That or she's just plain DUMB.
Oh and does anyone know how to make the evil thoughts go away? I've already tried chanting, "I will not make fun of the Cain children" for the last hour and I've written it about a million times on the blackboard, but it's not working. Any advice you have would be greatly appreciated.

Im sorry but if you are complaining about money and you make somewhere in the six figures perhaps you shouldn't be trying to win your kids over with expensive activities like movies, and the human thing...just a thought Laura....
I mentioned yesterday I am in my last semester of college and all summer up until last week I worked 8 hours a day and did and internship for another 3 to 4 hours a day and you know what, no nap here....I really would love to only work 4 hours a day and make 6 figures and get to nap whenever I want.....that is definately my idea of the American dream...

There's an age limit, fortunately enough for us Idol watchers. However, don't THINK for a minute that she's not going to be one of those "stage mothers" pushing her kids into stuff they don't want to do, just to fulfill some sickness and emptiness in her life. I worked for a children's theatre for a while, and there were enough mothers like that - they pissed me off and made me nausious - can't imagine what their kid's lives were like. More screwed up adults in a few years - whatever. Poor little Evan is going to be in ballet, singing, dancing, movement classes before she's 8. You know I dont think any state should have to suffer through the showgram...
But...if anyone should it should be the people in the Beverly Hills area. Since the whole showgram thinks they so famous they may be able to relate to those type of people more than us. They think they are celebrities anyways why not make actual celebrities listen to their show and then they will see they are nothing...or actually they would think they are even more famous and great....Laura would be in more debt trying to buy all the clothes off rodeo drive and would kick into old habits if she hasnt already. Maybe Laura could get a free boob job from Dr. 90210 (that show on E!) then advertise for him and with any luck she will meet Lindsey Lohan and I bet they will be B.F.F....could you imagine how much more annoying that show would get?
At least Tommy would have his fair share of ladies to have domestic disputes with....

I've known several people that have done AA/NA and from my experience she should be commenting on how many days/months of sobriety she has - but we've heard "jack" on that. Jeff keeps congratulating her on taking the "high road" and being so wonderful, but her live seems to be all play and no substance.
One last comment - Laura is in the middle of a legal separation/possible divorce. Does she not realize that all the stuff she writes about in her diary will become fodder for DaveCain to use in court? She is making a mistake by writing all this down for public consumption...
Okay, I have to get back to my single parent duties - no afternoon naps in the car for me!

Hey, RowdyOne...tell your sister to send the message as Tommy wrote it to the executive office...particularly this sentence:
"From OUR website log, it looks as if you are regular viewer, from you IP address and email address."
She could always say she fears that Tommy is planning to look up her home address and start stalking her, since he has had restraining orders against him for such stuff, and he has been known to troll listeners (and probably flunkies who love him for his blog...).
I do hope he quits specifying times and places where his kids will be... I think that can be dangerous. for the kids, of course, not for Tommy. Who would kidnap him?

Shhhhhhhhhh.......Laura is sleeping.

Awesome. This one really made me laugh.
Just one question. How come Tommy (who works the same if not more hours than Laura) has all the time to go on multiple walks during the week days. Drive to Chula Vista to see his mom and do the other non responsible things with his kids. And Laura barely has time to do anything but sleep?

I wonder if ClearChannel would be intereted in seeing that type of response... So how would she contact CC or the executive office if she wanted to? She actually listens to and enjoys the show, but knows I frequent this site and she thought I'd enjoy his response. I didn't. It frightened me.

So, from the IP address and email addrress, can someone (Tommy) actually locate a physical address/phone number for a person? This is the thought that jolted me when I read that sentence. Then anyone accessing their site or his blog is vulnerable.

Rowdy, if Tommy is able to recognize her IP address, it means her IP is static (assigned to her modem, and doesn't change), in which case, yes he could locate a physical address, though it would take some digging. I would be more concerned that she used her private/personal email address which probably included her last name, even if she didn't specifically type it into the "Last Name" box on their email form.

I honestly don't think he's that smart - I think he was just saying that to worry her. Like the rest of his antics don't?
Hey Showgram - Burlington - it's very pretty!

If she participates in the "Points" Program for Star, she has probably registered her email address with her name and address and phone number...I'll bet they have it all stored somewhere...I really suggest she contact them. I don't know the executive group involved, but I think they have been mentioned by name here before...anyone on this site know to whom she ought to address her concerns? Pacey? can you help out here? C'mon, you don't have to be a showgram shill!!!
I don't know if he is just insinuating he knows or not...but it's creepy and not something that should be ignored...he's representing the whole corporation when he is responding to people like that.
which reminds me, I used to come to this site to share words for some of the points programs myself...since I really got into this site, I quit all those dopey points programs. this is far more entertaining...LOL!

Why does Laura feel the need to talk about her sweaty armpits? She is so self-absorbed and shallow that she thinks her reader would be amused by something like that. Or maybe she doesn't have anything of "substance" to talk about.
I have two young kids and I agree with the other posters that parenting is not easy. I am constantly thinking of ways to maximize the time we spend together by doing quality things with them as much as possible. Of course, I don't often succeed because of other responsibilities. But they are my top priority. Now Laura, with all her money, yes, all her money (if she can afford a tanning membership and dance lessons, I think she's pretty "loaded")could definitely come up with ways to spend quality time with her kids. As a matter of fact, money should not be an issue. She could take them to a nice picnic, go to the library and read books aloud to them, or simply be there for them. So, Laura, I have heard enough of your money woes. The only reason you need money when it comes to your kids is you spend it most on you. You will always be number one, not your kids, not your husband, but you.
Finally, on Laura and her kids' education: I am a teacher and I have witnessed so many parents blaming teachers for their kids' problems that they should have been addressing when they were younger. These parents never take responsibility for anything and I definitely see Laura fit into this category- the world simply revolves around them! JMHO

If there was anything I could do to change it I would. The showgram used to put me in a good mood each morning. Now it just pisses me off. I'm done with these pricks all together.
It was nice knowing you all. I'm going to go be happyhappyhappy now.
Please don't leave. It was fun before re-hab. Don't let the "crash" of her life end your talent. SadSadSad is a smile......please refine and adjust the needs of this site. The "long-run" is what defines their weakness. The "Show-gram" is NOT the talent..... we are.
