well im pretty bummed because i just realized that i could be our new listener of the spewgram for about an hour a day (which is probably too much) but i don't have real player and after i tried downloading it, it still would work...looks like its not meant to be. haha
Anyone go on the website and vote for tommy's new haircut? the results so far are 40% of people like it while 59% don't like it.
I'm not sure how he could make his hair ever look presentable....now more than ever I can picture him with a rat tail....
he is just not an attractive man....i almost feel bad for him, but not really.

awww okay. I moved to Orange County and don't get the San Diego channels anymore.. got the two guys confused... wasn't Stan on KUSI at one point?
Stan Miller used to do the KUSI morning news with Laura something...she was annoying *kinda like laura cain* but she ended up taking a job in Colorado, thankfully. Then I think Stan Miller did the KUSI evening news for a while. Now isn't he with channel 8? I only know so much about Stan miller cause I used to think he was attractive for an older man...I haven't seen a pic of him in years.. hahaha

MY EYES ARE BLEEDING!!! MY EYES ARE BLEEDING!!!!
:kaching: We must never speak of this again! Never in this context!!
Promise me 13, never again!!!!
I'm sorry - I know it's a frightening image - that's my point - why on earth would a girl like her hook up with a troll-doll like him? Makes absolutely no sense at all. And, you know she's aware of all of the domestic violence - it's well documented. So, either he has something we don't know about (and I doubt that) - it's for the money and the notoriety. You know that's why he keeps mentioning his fiance Michelle in every damn thing he writes - he knows she craves attention - he's good at sizing up people, figuring out what they need, and then being a "great guy" and providing that to sucker them in. Read this definition, and tell me he's not a sociopath:

I give until after Christmas. She'll get as much notoriety out of this as she can, and get as much $$$$$ and attention, and then move on.

Laura's Diary, September 5th, 2007
Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at 12:06pm
Dear Diary,
I'm exhausted today. I had a 2 hour intense financial meeting with Davecain and our friend Susan last night. We need to iron out the money stuff…and boy, is it complicated. I just don't do well with numbers. After about an hour of number crunching, I could feel my brain, my body and my soul completely shut down. It was like the tin man running out of oil. I came to a slow stop. Anyway, I think we made some good progress. I hesitate to use the word "good" when describing how things are going because if things were really going "good" I'd be living in my house with my kids and my husband like the "good old days." Ah…I digress.
I appreciate the incredible emails from ya'll chock full of advice, suggestions, support and hope. I look forward to these emails and I savor each and every one. You have no idea how much they've helped me already. I'm sad for Davecain that he doesn't have the kind of support that I do. I'm so thankful.
All day yesterday I kept thinking about other men and women out there who are going through the same thing. There are a whole lot of people who are hurting so much right now. My heart goes out to you if your heart aches. I'm sorry that I'm getting all morose on your butts, but dangit, I just feel sad for my brothers and sisters today.
Okay, change of subject….I took a little trip up to Escondido to visit a store called Plato's Closet. For some unknown reason, Charlie told me about this store. They must advertise on Nickelodeon or something.
This is a resale store that has a lot of cool styles and hot jeans. Yes, PC did have a bunch of "gently used" designer jeans on the racks. I'm a little bitter because NONE of the DOZENS of jeans I tried on fit. I was up to the 32's and the 13/14's and nothin'! I really wanted that pair of True Religions, too. They were only 50 bucks. My butt was just a little too bootylicious to stuff in those size 30's.
On the subject of jeans, I refuse to give into the high-waisted jean trend coming our way. I find those things hideous. Not gonna go there!
See you tomorrow, Diary.

Tommy's blog as well...blah
Wednesday September 5, 2007 7am: Good morning! It's Wednesday, I think!? Tomorrow is the debut of TOMMYTUBE! It's the pilot episode from MY HOUSE. Laura and I give you a tour of the house and where we both sleep and all that stuff. Check in tomorrow from time to time on www.jeffandjer.com and check out TOMMYTUBE. I believe once or twice a week AT NIGHT, you can take a peak into MY HOUSE (or is it peek)?
I feel really good today! I'm working out a little more than usual. Last night, my friend EJ came over with IBETT (just like Yvette) and we lifted some weights. EJ is showing me the correct form for each thing we do. I actually should be paying him, because he's more like a trainer right now instead of just hanging out. Although, yesterday we did run across the street and played a quick game of HORSE on a neighbors basketball hoop. EJ coaches basketball at OTAY RANCH HIGH SCHOOL. He won, but I kind of let him. Man, when was the last time you played HORSE? It was fun! Today, we’re going into the field and build a fort. :) Did that bring back memories? BUT, lifting is fun. We have the radio on and we just do a few sets of everything and we do sweat. I feel like my whole upper body is getting a workout now instead of just my legs from the walks and hikes.
I want to make lifting part of the weekly routine!
Bikram Yoga: I have time this morning before I go to the track, so I would like to get in a walk after the show and a yoga class. I believe Michelle is meeting me at 11 to either do Penasquitos Canyon, Mission Bay, or Lake Miramar. I want to do more paved roads because Lake Miramar kicked my butt the other day, so more street stuff for the next few weeks as I prepare for the 3 day!
Oh yeah, about the Charger Game and the Bridal Bizaare (bazaar)….I've decided to go to the bridal bizarre by myself and have Michelle take my children to the game.
You know, I'm not sure if I wrote about this or not, but yesterday I was told or I read that Laura was looking for a place and she was going to move out soon and she felt because of my engagement that she had to. I immediately called Laura and asked her about this. I'm not trying to get in the way of Laura and how she's doing so well and I'm not being an enabler at all, but I got a stomach ache when I heard about this. Michelle is my fiance and I love her so much, but Laura is my buddy. Laura helps me just as much as people say I help her. I hope she finds a place one day soon to call home, but quite honestly NOT NOW. I don't want her to move. I love the relationship we have, because we are just buddies. I'll get some criticism about this and people always assume the worst, but in 6 months I am proud of the friendship we have.
Okay, start your emails!
So, today I'm going to workout and get a walk in and a yoga class and maybe lift a little again today. Oh yeah and catch up with some emails.
I love you,
Tommy

I'm pretty sure that DaveCain does have support - just one more example of Miss "I'm a Big Deal" thinking that she's the only one that counts....
And she's out spending more money - I sure wish I had $50 to blow on a pair of used jeans!

He mentioned somewhere on the internet that he has 65+ guitars - don't you know that there's one "guitar shrine" in his house. Just because you own them, doesn't mean you can play them or have any talent.
----------------------------------------------
Wouldn't it be funny to see all of the guitars in his swimming pool. lol!
Did anyone vote on Tommy's haircut? I think he got a lot of our votes, since the majority of the voters didn't like it. It makes his fat head look even bigger!

Gosh, time flies when you are having fun. The Jeff and Jer Radio Showgram is over for another day.
Gee, wasn't that funny when Jerry said how he was in a gas station, getting gas, and another dude there ate a whole thing of pringles and drank 2 red bulls for breakfast? Gosh, imagine taking that in every day. Jerry said the guy has that for breakfast every day. That was a nice segment of junior listeners calling in to say what they have for breakfast.
Holy Toledo, wasn't that funny when Jeff said they were in San Francisco and he was asking somebody about the "Peanuts museum" that they have for Charlie Brown and Snoopy and those guys, and the guy thought Jeff was asking about a different type of museum altogether? Gosh how funny when certain words can sound like other words and people get a different meaning altogether about what you are talking about.
Well, we know that whatever tomorrow brings, we will get some laughs by tuning to Star 94.1 and the Jeff and Jer Showgram.

Poor Laura needs to get her own C.P.A. person to help her with the money situation with Dave and their divorce. I think Laura is one of these people who doesn't handle money very well, though she knows a good sale when she sees it, doesn't make the connection to her paycheck.
Laura gets paid well for the work she does. So she has good money coming in. She really could use the help of a good C.P.A. to help her plan her money matters. And it's not too soon to start saving for college for the kids either. With the money she brings in, she can really make a good plan to save.

OMG that is creepy.
(1) They are habitual liars. They seem incapable of either knowing or telling the truth about anything.
(2) They are egotistical to the point of narcissism. They really believe they are set apart from the rest of humanity by some special grace.
(3) They scapegoat; they are incapable of either having the insight or willingness to accept responsibility for anything they do. Whatever the problem, it is always someone else's fault.
(4) They are remorselessly vindictive when thwarted or exposed.
(5) Genuine religious, moral, or other values play no part in their lives. They have no empathy for others and are capable of violence. Under older psychological terminology, they fall into the category of psychopath or sociopath, but unlike the typical psychopath, their behavior is masked by a superficial social facade.

Laura needs a good C.P.A. type person to sort through all her money matters. She needs to handle money better because she has good income but spends money when she shouldn't. But then she has a soft spot for the kids when they want treats so she has to do it for them. Laura's heart is in the right place where everything with her kids is concerned. Hopefully the divorce thing will result in the better visiting for the kids and she can see the kids more. Laura will move on with her life and Little Tommy has been a great friend to Laura. But now he's saying he wishes she didn't move out so who knows what's up with that. But then Laura feels bad to have the good bedroom at the house, and it's Tommy's house for Pete's sake, so how can a house guest keep the bedroom and leave Tommy and Michelle out on the couch. But everything will work out when Laura gets back on her own 2 feet and then Tommy and Michelle will move forward too.

Wednesday September 5, 2007 2pm: Well, 6 months ago today I had no interest in breaking a sweat and I wanted to be alone for the rest of my life. Today, at 11am I met my fiancé Michelle here at my house to go on a 5 mile walk in the Penasquitos Canyon!
Now, how the heck did that happen? Am I happier now because of all the stuff that went on from that day in March to NOW? I think I am. Today, I’m a better friend, son, dad, brother, worker, and NOW fiancé. Ain’t life a trip!
You know what was cool about the walk I did today? It was cool because I walked with Michelle. We just had eachother as we walked. Okay, I’m about to write something that will make some of you want to come over and beat me up: Today, Michelle and I held hands for most of the walk and we tried to catch butterflies. Okay, I want to come over now and kick my own butt. When I’m walking and hiking, I’m focused and working hard. Today, in the canyon I just wanted to hold her hand. It took us two hours and I walked like 8,000 steps and burned about 400 calories or something like that. My sister Punkin bought me a thingy that you strap on when you walk and it counts steps and stuff.
For those of you who thought of something perverted the moment you read the words “strap on”, you all may leave the room now!
I’m going to take a nap in a few minutes. I’m nodding out for some reason.
When I wake up, I’m wanting to workout again and write up this little speech for Laura tomorrow. Laura celebrates a milestone tomorrow and I want to say a few special things to her ON THE AIR at 8am.
Hey, I got a 3rd ticket to the Charger game, so I’m taking both Eddie and Vanessa. IF I get a 4th ticket, I’m going to ask Michelle to blow off the BIZARRE to come to the game. Yes, I know I spelled it wrong.
I’m gonna take a nap!

Having stopped listening to this station a long time ago, I drop in now and then to read what's happening. I see that there's still no point in listening...
Here's what I found on Wiki about TSL Ratings. These are part of the Arbitron ratings.
"Major ratings products include cume (the cumulative number of unique listeners over a period), average quarter hour (AQH - the average number of people listening every 15 minutes), time spent listening, (TSL), and market breakdowns by demographic."

OK, so I secretly read this thread when I'm bored. You got me.
Just a couple of things I know about Michelle-
I knew her mom really well. Michelle's dad was a loser with a capitol 'L' and mommy ran off and married him without her family's approval. She divorced after she had her girls and married a guy who seemed very nice the few times I met him. The thing is....Michelle and her sisters don't talk to mom. Ever. Not even at family gatherings. They hate step-daddy and the whispers around the neighborhood are not nice. In fact, none of Michelle's other family members really speak to mom and these people are good people. Big Catholics. There are a lot of them! So the daddy thing is probably why Michelle is searching for attention. I really doubt this marriage will go down when it's all said and done because she has a very tight family who she respects. (And her uncle's are big, big dudes. Tommy probably hasn't met them,)
When I first heard about Tommy and Michelle I emailed my friend the website I found on this thread warning women not to date the toad. She's pretty tight-lipped about it other than to confirm the engagement.
Just thought I would jump in and share this. Don't go thinking I like you or anything!

You know her mom really well, but a few weeks ago this is what you said:
sorry, that's not Michelle...or at least I'm pretty sure of it since I saw her last year at a wedding and I doubt she changed that much OR had a baby.
Oh crap..you guys dragged me back in with your 'oh so hilarious' comments and my obvious taste for car crash looky-loos. Like I don't have anything better to do other than being the elitist, double posting, NPR-listening, gay-lover. Damn my perfect life!(Twitch.) (Oh yes. I love the French and I've been to Italy. Carry on.)
and it was indeed Michelle and her baby Evie...if you know her mom so well, and they're all really close, I'd think you would know what she looks like, and how many kids she has. Right? I'm just a little confused now that all these people are claiming to know Michelle, or know people who know her somehow.

Good lord. Tommy breaks a sweat every time her wraps his herpes-infected mouth around a juicy carne asada burrito, and gets sweaty armpits whenever he stretches for the bag of Cheetos!
He is such a fake, horizonatally and vertically challenged orb - the product of a romp between Papa Smurf and a hot Umpa Lumpa chick. :wavey2:

Star Dirt phone line is 619-917-DIRT
DeeTroit posted earlier today that the number on DaveCain's new website (619-723-1981) is a cell phone number registered in Fallbrook.
619 is an area code for central San Diego, cell phone or not.
The prefixes 723, 728 & 731 are for Fallbrook, but they have to be paired with the area code of 760. I know this because I used to live in Fallbrook.

A lot was said here. Like family gatherings and no one talks to mom and they hate step-dad who you say seems nice. What's the point of having a family gathering if this is the atmosphere? Also, who is mad at Moochelle and her choices in men if they all don't talk and hate each other?
And these are really good people, you say. What does being Catholic have to do with anything? None of this adds up.

This is also true according to my friend. Michelle hasn't spoken to her mother in years--her aunts and grandmother are the one she goes to for advice and looks up to. Apparently, the family is really, really big--I think Michelle has something like five aunts and she has five sisters (can't remember the exact #). The whole daddy dissin, jerky husband thing adds up to her looking for love even if it is from another jerk who makes her feel good at the moment.

The Jeff and Jer web cam idea is a great idea. Who could have thought of such an original idea?!
Gee, nobody would have any idea what they do if they didn't show it on a webcam. Imagine, non-stop-hilarity watching a soon-to-be-divorced-skank-drug-addict, living with a fat-soon-to-be-married-to-a-skank-alcoholic!! Radio hilarity!!
That will be way cool to see Little Tommy's house filled with little snaggle-tooth, brats dropping in two or three days a week.
I think this will be fun -- kind of like the fun I have off-setting Danelle's parenting by adding my own version of "give- the-spoiled-skank-wanna-be-kids-everything-they-want-so-they-still-love-the-dad-toad."
It will help generate traffic for the web site,(not that I am into that kind of information, since I am a simple listener like all you guys), and that in turn will help get more listeners to the Jeff and Jer Radio Showgram (cause I only like to see if we have more input on this thread).
And the more listeners the better the Arbitrons and we might see the TSL numbers go up too. (Not that I care about radio listener sh*t....cause I am only a simple opinion on this thread like all of you cool people. It's all good. Hey! Don't you think Jeff and Jer would think it's really cool if I could drop some radio "lingo" and act like I'm part of their showgram?)
Cause, I think I can pull it off! I think I can pretend to be part of the Showgram but still be hip and connected with all of you cool people writing on this thread! Let's all try to fool the writers on the thread and see if they get that I'm pretending to be a part of things! This is bithchin'!!!!!

Gosh, time flies when you are having fun. I hope you heard the DSC show today. Those guys are FUNNY!!!
And, The Jeff and Jer Radio Showgram is over for another day.
Gee, wasn't that funny when Jerry said how he was in a gas station, getting gas, and another dude there ate a whole thing of pringles and drank 2 red bulls for breakfast? How funny is it when Jerry finds out what people eat? Man, that is a comedy bit for the ages, "let's see what people eat"
Gosh, imagine taking that in every day -- what people eat. Every day we can see what people eat -- and every day we can laugh at it cause people eat funny stuff! Jerry said the guy has that for breakfast every day -- that Jerry, he wakes up early so he can capture true comedy bits like "what people eat!"
That was a nice segment of junior listeners calling in to say what they have for breakfast. Nothing is funnier than hearing what 12-year-olds have for breakfast! How about the kid who had a snickers bar?! I bet the showgram's TSL went up 12%!
Holy Toledo, wasn't that funny when Jeff said they were in San Francisco and he was asking somebody about the "Peanuts museum" that they have for Charlie Brown and Snoopy and those guys, and the guy thought Jeff was asking about a different type of museum altogether? The guy thought he said a "penis" museum!!!!
Gosh how funny when certain words can sound like other words and people get a different meaning altogether about what you are talking about. Imagine...penis instead of peanuts! I bet Jeff spent hours working up that bit! He is so talented! To think, he spends his whole life at church and still has time to notice how peanuts sounds like penis? He is a very perceptive Christian!
Well, we know that whatever tomorrow brings, we will get some laughs by tuning to Star 94.1 and the Jeff and Jer Showgram. Boy, I wish I had a job like those cool dudes! Imagine working for a radio station?! I bet you could get off of work at 10:00 A.M. and STILL have time to write a blog entry by 10:13 A.M. That would be a cool hypothetical situation!

Laura needs a good C.P.A. type person to sort through all her money matters. She needs to handle money better because she has good income but spends money when she shouldn't. Like, when she was married, she'd spend money on drugs and alcohol when her family needed food and clothing.
But then she has a soft spot for the kids when they want treats so she has to do it for them. Like when her kids want dinner, she has a soft spot to give them video games and Gummi bears -- cause she loves her kids so much! Laura's a great absentee mom!
Laura's heart is in the right place where everything with her kids is concerned. She realizes she can get alot more alimony and child-support if she can remain a "victim" in this divorce episode. Hopefully the divorce thing will result in the better visiting for the kids and she can see the kids more. Cause the kids are becoming too "normal" and pulling away from their "momma-needs-a-few-more-minutes-to-sleep-babies-see-if-the-two-gay-guys-can-watch-you-while-momma-posts-a-recovery-wink-or-two" life-style.
Laura will move on with her life and Little Tommy has been a great friend to Laura cause I said ...err --cause she said so.
But now he's saying he wishes she didn't move out so who knows what's up with that. Cause he has been having fat-slapping sex with the Moo-girl knowing Laura can watch the kids on the skate-board-trampoline.
But then Laura feels bad to have the good bedroom at the house, (the one with the clean sheets) and it's Tommy's house for Pete's sake, so how can a house guest keep the bedroom and leave Tommy and Michelle out on the couch (where their fat-slapping sex leaves a dull-sheen over all the other furniture in the room.)
But everything will work out when Laura gets back on her own 2 feet (after she soaks Davecain for everything he has since he left her alone to pursue his selfish "normal-life-without-a-drug-addict-skank-bleach-blond-wish-I-was-still-16-cause-I'm-all-about-People-Star-and-Us-magazines-cause-I-have-to-pretend-my-dirt-bit-is-original-even-though-it's-on-every-other-radio-show-in-America" lifestyle.
And then, after the Amazon-woman freak finally stops mooching off her co-worker, Tommy and Michelle will move forward too, to a life of fat-slappin sex and "HEY! What the hell are we doin' raising kids who may end up like us cause that would be a burden on the rest of society life-style"

Well if you want a few laughs to make your day brighter there's no better place to listen than the Jeff and Jer Radio Showgram. Unless you listen to 101.5....or 97.3....or 103.7....0r 101.1.....0r 100.7....or 640AM....or you CD player....or your IPod....or talk radio....or the Christian station.....or 1090AM....or 570AM.....or anything on the radio between 540 Am and 1600AM
Can somebody name other web sites where people talk about Jeff and Jer? Other than Newlyweds.com where this entry was submitted by Michelle: "I just feel for her kids and her for being away from them for that long. That would be the most difficult thing as a Mom that I can imagine.
Dave filed for Legal Separation. I don't know if this means he/they are open to reconciliation should she prove that she's committed to sobriety. I hope so.
No clue what her addictions were. I wonder why she's being vague about that aspect of it.
Michelle"
Gosh, who knew Jeff and Jer would get most of their publicity this year from their drug & alcohol-addicted employee-of-the-year? If that doesn't make your day brighter -- what else can?!

I wrote that I 'knew her mom' as in used to know her, as in years ago.
I did go to the wedding-the baby was not there. Michelle and her sisters where on one side of the room and mom was on the other. I had a little more class than to ask. "Hey mom, so how come your daughters won't talk to you and what's up with the step-dad rumors?" I'm just sayin'.
I am long-time friends with one of Michelle's other relatives.
The part about being Catholic is that they all go to church- every freaking week so I was trying to figure out how Tommy was going to fit in. I knew he went to Jeff's church occasionally but that one isn't Catholic. And besides, you have to go through the church classes to get married in the church and so I don't see that happening.
Sheesh, you guys are a tough crowd! Try and give you a little bit of info and look out!

Thursday September 6, 2007 7:30am: Well, I got a lot of funny emails from YOU about my butterfly escapade yesterday. I was just trying to catch them, I wasn't running around the canyon with a net or anything lame like that. GEEZ! :)
I think I'm kind of getting used to my hair. It's so short. The other day, I was thinking to myself that this haircut made me look chubby, then I realized I AM CHUBBY. This is the haircut to have if you are working out because it does feel good in the heat and if I look okay in this haircut as in NOT CHUBBY, then that will be cool. I guess at times I used to HIDE behind my hair. I guess I would give "height" to my hair to look less fat. I really can't believe I'm writing this. So, yes I am getting used to this hair, but I do feel it SHOWCASES my "fat face", but you know what? I'm in the best shape of my life, although I still need to lose a few. FUNNY STORY: Last night, Michelle left my house and we were going to meet at her house, she was a few minutes ahead of me. I leave 10 minutes later and I pull into a McDonald's by North County Fair and the car ahead of me is Michelle. Awww, she is my soulmate!
Working out: I think I'm going to email the regular walkers today and see if they want to do Penasquitos Canyon later on. I think I can do it around 5pm today. Yesterday, I took Michelle in the canyon and it was a great walk and there's so much out there. Penasquitos Canyon is a great place to train for the 3 day and to get in shape. Maybe after the walk, IF we do it, we can all lift weights at my house.
THE KIDS: I miss them. I did the track last night so I didn't see them because I was at the station's little party and saw Super Diamond. I did get 4 tickets to the Charger game so I will take both Eddie and Vanessa and either Michelle if she can break away from the BIZARRE or one of the kids friends. Yes, I know I am spelling BIZARRE wrong!
Today is 6 months from starting to workout and 6 months Laura is SOBER! So, today is kind of like a HOLIDAY and it's time to reflect and celebrate by working out and NOT partying!
6 months is tough! I am so proud of Laura!
Hey, it's 8am and I need to read a little letter to Laura about her SOBRIETY!
I will write back soon!
COMING SOON TOMMYTUBE!

empressj, baby, c'mon. If you want to continue to post here, you gotta do better than that. Sure, it would be classless to ask the Mom directly, of course, but you gotta find a way to start pourin the drinks and THEN start encouraging the flow of info...
and Tommy was probably brought up semi-Catholic...so he could fake right in. If he wants to pretend he never had a birthday cake with candles and all that, maybe he can fake out that Rosa was a good Catholic Mom and got him to church every week. It kinda doesn't sound like it, though...sounds like there was constant pandemonium going on at all times, and she was getting to Bingo games and then the casinos as soon as they opened up around here.
Now that I have changed the subject, I kinda wonder what all those older sisters were doing as Cousin IT was growing up...were they just off gangsta leanin' or what? And they are such a close family, eh?
Another random thought. It's not exactly my fault, it's that picture of Cousin It sans the hair that was posted not once, but twice...
I made the mistake one year at the Del Mar Fair of going to the infield where the police and sherrifs dept. have their booth..and they had that...that DATABASE!!!! You know the one of which I speak....the Megan's Law one...well. I made the mistake of sitting down and looking through it. the first thing that struck me was how the guys on the database all kinda looked like they were related to each other..can't explain it, but there is a "look."
Then, walking around the Fair, darn if 80% of the guys running the rides and about 70% of the guys just walking around the Midway area....didn't look like I had just seen their faces.
And now, thanks to you folks who posted that photo not once, but two times....I now keep wondering if that same face wasn't on the database as well... He does have that "look."
ick. I bet he looks just like his little loser of a father, too.

Laura's Diary, September 6th, 2007
Thursday, September 6, 2007 at 1:17pm
Dear Diary,
Today's a big day for me. Six months clean and sober. Seems longer than that, but as they say, "one day at a time." I asked Tommy if he'd go to a meeting with me tonight so he can give it to me…the token, my six month token.
I never thought I'd be so excited about getting a plastic poker chip thingy for being sober, but I am. I'm very excited and proud of myself. I don't think I've ever said that about myself.
Last night, I walked in a little late to a meeting in Hillcrest to discover that I was the only chick in the place. I was scared because I thought it was only a "dude" meeting, but it wasn't. I love my Hillcrest meetings. I always get a lot out of them. And, they are always so entertaining. One of the guys who shared last night said that he meditates a lot, which brings him closer to God. He said that if you sit up straight with your spine in a straight line, your body acts like an antenna to your higher power. You pick up things from "out there." I bought into it big-time.
Before my meeting, I had a really good session with Phillip. That sounds kinky, huh? I meant to say, I had a really great lesson, dance lesson, dance practice with Phillip. I really think we have our routine nailed. We worked on certain parts of the dance, then, at the end of the lesson, we put it all together. I couldn’t believe how out of breath I was after doing the whole thing straight through. I'm getting a little nervous because the big night is a week from Saturday!
Oh, I think I forgot to tell you that I found my Cha-Cha dress. I was really stressed about this part of the show because I thought I'd have to spend a butt-load on some flashy thing, but noooooooo….
Check it out…I found a red, flowy, sexy, halter dress at Ross…..for $9.99!
I'm VERY proud of myself now.
See you tomorrow, Diary.

Come on guys, cut Laura a break. She's a very pretty girl and she has pretty outfits. The point of the $73.00 outfit is to show how a girl can dress nice on a budget. Laura is not a runaway model like the models who do that for a living, and you should not expect her to be like that. She's trying to show that you can be on a budget and dress nice.
Gosh, today's Showgram was touching with Little Tommy's tribute to Laura and being sober. It's now exactly 6 months since Laura decided to take the 1st baby step towards soberiety. It's now six long months later and she's still at it. She's going through a lot with Dave and the kids and everything. So if everybody can just cut her a break it will be better that way.
She's going through a lot in life but still goes to work everyday and functions normally every day.
And Little Tommy has been a good friend to Laura and wants to go to the meetings and help her. Isn't that nice of Little Tommy to be so helpful to another person? Laura didn't have a place to live when she came back from rehab so Tommy was there .Tommy went to visit her in rehab but we didn't know it at the time. They have grown close so that they can help each other. Laura's taking it one day at a time.

the sad part of all these postings is that most of them are probably right on the mark without any of us knowing him personally. FH may be a nice guy but with all the information that we have (given to us directly by him) and his history (mostly given by him) the chances that he is a nice guy are pretty slim. The way he throws his kids in the spotlight by telling us everything they are doing and everywhere they are going is so beyond irresponsible that I can't think of him in a positive light. With all the dangers out there for kids I would think that a person in a high profile job would do whatever they could to protect their kids privacy. something he so obviously does not do. I have a very high level of respect for celebrities (and no I don't consider FH a celebrity, just somebody in a high profile job) that keep their kids out of it. One that comes to mind is Jon Bon Jovi, you never see his kids pictures anywhere. That is admirable, and he is hot (just had to add that).

They make a too-short-for-your-age/bodytype dress look just right.
And I'm still wondering if anyone out here has any inside info on Dave's personal life? I want him dating a lady, not a tramp!

It's sorta offenseive for people to say that Michelle isn't worth it or that Little Tommy could do better than be with Michelle. Only the 2 people together know for sure what goes on with 2 people. So please don't make all these judgements about people because you're not together with the 2 people. Same with Laura and Dave. Only they know the whole truth about what happened with those 2.

It's only because pandas rarely breed in captivity, and they give birth to singles, not litters. So when a zoo does have a birth, everyone considers it a big deal. Having daily or weekly updates on the news about how much it weighs, etc... however, goes a little overboard.

At first look, the dress looked like a few outfits I saw downtown a few weeks ago. Dresses are back, it seems, in a big way. I was in my usual "my butt looks good in these jeans" and cute top, but I felt like the world had gone dress-happy, and nobody bothered to tell me! So, if she were to be, say, 22, and had done a different choice of shoe maybe? No leggings! Maybe it would have been better.

Well, she's not......and, she's not......
Reading her blobs, it's obvious that she has traded up on addictions - before it was substance (and lotto scratchers), now it's shopping. Cousin It eluded to a change in the players for the showgram sometime in the future today on the spewgram - if she had to live like a normal person (on a normal person's salary), it's gonna drive her back to her best friend, Jack Daniels.

I have been reading this board for a while now - since the beginning of the year I guess, but it became an addition when LBM disappeared. Now I'm hooked on this board. I thought I was the only old time listener (Y95 days) who thinks the show completely stinks now. I have switched over to my ipod for the commute, but I do punish myself by listening while I'm getting ready in the morning. You'd think that would speed up the process, but it doesn't.
the J&J show is definitely not what it used to be. I used to laugh, not feel nauseous when the show was on. Did J&J actually renew their contract - or when is it up? It seems like every day somebody mentions that the spewgram will not go on forever...blah blah blah and the Jeff starts rambling over some sappy song. I think they are definitely priming everybody for the Tommy & Laura show - everyday a major part of the show revolves around one or both of them. Gross...

Nobody knows what their future holds. Somebody said their contract expired this month, so who knows what's up with that. They could continue with a new contract or maybe they will have a new contract. Maybe Jeff knows something we don't know, maybe Jerry doesn't want to go on for the longer term.

I hate that I'm having to ask a question that probably everyone else on here already knows, but here goes...
1. Does the dept. (of whatever) give Laura the $73 each week?
2. Does she get to keep everything she buys???
I assumed that they gave her the money, and if that's the case, then shopping for an outfit a week should be plenty for her to satisfy her new addiction (though I don't think it's new, she always seemed to talk about shopping.)
I also think if she gets $ from the show, she must spend it on different things, and then pull **** out of her closet and buy only one new thing (I noticed she'll "rock a hat" that she bought years ago, and jewelry that ex-friend Cree had given her, etc... so what does she do with the left-over money?)

And by George, I am happy that Tommy found Michelle to love. (Well maybe she purposefully did climb that mtn to meet Tommy as she seems to go from psuedo-celeb to pseudo-celeb.)But garsh, everyone needs love. She does seem like s special gal who has a lot of love to give and has given it quite often too.
Holy heck, you can't fault Laura with shopping, now can you? She is a good shopper and a great bargain hunter. Neat, neat, neat. She is to be admired and worshipped for fixing herself. And for the love of Pete, why should she be alone. She will find someone new right away...that's a good thing isn't it? She suffererd through rehab, had lost the kids, and seen her marriage trouble...so she really deserves a prince charming to come her way.

mel, I think it is a site that collects retail info and allows posters to exchange info...a lot of people may have come here after going to a site called FAT WALLET where codes for many of these points programs were published. FAT WALLET took a lot of heat from the stations, and decided to close out that option. Someone found this site and migrated a lot of the points programs websites here.
This particular forum was an offshoot of the points program site, where happy with star posters collected and shared codes...we broke off to a separate site (this next comment is specifically for Dimwit) because the majority of the posters didn't appreciate our comments...so, Dignabit, you should go to the regular 94.1 site and post with your clones there.

The part about being Catholic is that they all go to church- every freaking week so I was trying to figure out how Tommy was going to fit in. I knew he went to Jeff's church occasionally but that one isn't Catholic. And besides, you have to go through the church classes to get married in the church and so I don't see that happening.
I bet this is why he keeps blogging about wanting to go to church and how God and the statutes of the Virgin Mary are surrounding him and how he's been feeling the spiritual presence...in case Moochelle and her family are reading his blog. Ahhh, he's not only lying to himself, but he's already begun to lie to the in-laws.

Not to get too overly spiritual....he's lying to entities more important than himself and his in-laws - there are higher powers who, and he'll probably object, are a WAY bigger deal than he is.
Sounds like Jer is going to get on the little yellow bus to Crankyland and will be leaving the show sooner rather than later. I think we should let the countries of Italy and France know - they always breathe a sigh of relief when he takes his jerky pomposity (and oddly-dressed clown-faced wife) off their soil.

Well it sounds like Laura has learned her dancing routines well. Because dance is an art form that is best judged by listening to the dancers -- and she sounds like she is learning fast!
She's got her life back together now and she will move forward. Three months of forced sobriety and three months of no adult responsibilities certainly helps a person get it back together. Tonight we ...er, she goes to pick up a chip.
I bet Charlie is excited to see the chip!
I think she will be in a position to meet somedody new. On her back is probably not a recommended position, but I'm certain in her recovered state she can find a new prone position.
Unfortunately she will be lonely now that Tommy has somebody and she will move out soon. She used to be lonely cause she lost her husband and only sees her kids occasionally, but Tommy has replaced all those other things she really doesn't need.
But she knows that Tommy only wants the best for her. And her moving out is best for him..er,..her.
It sounds like Laura is one of these people who have a hard time being alone. Maybe that's why dancing is so good for her. Dancing mneans you never have to be alone (as long as you have a partner). So she will really want to get out there and meet people, especially with the holidays coming up. No one wants to be alone on Rosh Hashanah, Halloween and Veteran's Day.
She will want to have somebody especially if Dave Cain is moving on with his life. And if Dave has somebody she will feel pressured about having somebody also. Finding someone to be with is important if you want to win the "My life is better without you" contest that all of the Jeff and Jer Showgram stars play.

It's sorta offensive for people to say that Michelle isn't worth it or that Little Tommy could do better than be with Michelle. Only the 2 people together know for sure what goes on with 2 people. If Michelle isn't worth it, Tommy should be the one to realize she isn't worth it.
So please don't make all these judgements about people because you're not together with the 2 people. Only the people together with the other person are the people who can comment on the other people they are together with.
Same with Laura and Dave. Only they know the whole truth about what happened with those 2. The rest of us only know most of the truth and you can't know all of the truth when you only know most of the truth. And only sober, clear-thinking people know the whole truth so, only Dave knows the truth and Laura knows most of the truth about those 2.
I wish everybody would get back to talking about what they like about the Jeff and Jer Radio Showgram. Jerry's original "top-ten" lists, Randy's laugh at every item on the top-ten, Jeff's insightful comments on marriage and family values, Laura's great mom stories, Tommy's funny, original Chula Vista references.....the things that make you laugh, what makes you talk to other people and say "can you believe those guys", just all the fun stuff about the Showgram. That's what it's all about. The drugs, drinking and divorces are only known by the people drinking, doing drugs and divorcing. The rest of you commenting on these things are sort of offensive.

RE-POSTED by Dilbert-1985]
Come on guys, cut Laura a break. She's a very pretty girl and she has pretty outfits. Some people are hard to fit and she is one of those pretty people who are hard to dress. The point of the $73.00 outfit is to show how a girl can dress nice on a budget. It's hard to find really cute outfits on $292 a month. Try dressing nice on only a little money given to you at work.
Laura is not a runaway model like the models who do that for a living, she's a "stay-here" model and you should not expect her to be like that. She's trying to show that you can be on someone else's budget and dress nice.
Gosh, today's Showgram was touching with Little Tommy's tribute to Laura and being sober. It's now exactly 6 months since Laura and the court system decided to take the 1st baby step towards sobriety. It's now six long months later and she's still at it -- imagine doing something for six months!? Most people can't be that focused.
She's going through a lot with Dave and the kids and everything. So if everybody can just cut her a break it will be better that way. Otherwise, we'll have to do another 6-month tribute in March.
She's going through a lot in life but still goes to work everyday and functions normally every day. Very few people have that combination of difficulties: going through stuff + going to work + function normally every day.
And Little Tommy has been a good friend to Laura and wants to go to the meetings and help her. That way he can see what it's like to be an alcoholic from the outside. Isn't that nice of Little Tommy to be so helpful to another person? How many other people are willing to help their friends? Right -- not that many.
Laura didn't have a place to live when she came back from rehab so Tommy was there and offered one of his six bedrooms to her.
Tommy went to visit her in rehab but we didn't know it at the time cause they keep criminal addicts in lock-down. They have grown close so that they can help each other. Laura's taking it one day at a time because most of us don't live life one day at a time and that's what makes us messed up -- trying to live two days at the same time. You can't live Tuesday and Friday at the same time -- you have to live Tuesday OR Friday. That's why these meetings are so important because they teach people that drinking and drugs don't make it possible to live two or three days at a time!

I was so happy that I blocked that freak of nature, and I get even more happy when I see the tiny little messages that he is blocked every time one of his stupid posts is up -- and then you go and print them. Is this my punishment because I don't look like Esmerelda? If so, I'll go call dr. bucko and fix myself up a bit. Cease fire, please.

I'm deeply insulted. Are you actually saying my posts are as annoying as Dilbert's? Wow -- what a vacuum.
I mock him. You understand the concept of "mock?" The "re-posts" are meant to a funny way to mock the effort of Tommy and the Showgram to infiltrate our thread.
He posts because people get mad. That's what he wants -- to interrupt the flow of the thread. He wants to see you post "Ignore that D*ckweed!!!"
People only treat you in a way that gets the response they seek. Change the response, and you neutralize their effort.
I don't get mad at Dilbert -- I mock his simple, patronizing attempt to be "part" of the thread. Dilbert is a tooth-less, pit-bull....the gnawing is annoying -- but harmless.

:stupid: Well, change this sign to read "I am stupid" -- because I didn't get the Jake posts. In my defense (I know, on a board with the high IQ's floating around on it like this one, there is no defense for stupidity) all I saw was the title "Repost Dilbert" and I figured it was a repost, because I've blocked that trolling Clear Channel employee, so I don't know what on earth he has posted and I didn't read it.
Bad SDReadHead ... to not read a Jake post through to the end. Bad me. But, I can still feel good about myself because 1) my kids ate a proper dinner not purchased at 7-11 with the change from my Lotto tickets, 2) my clothes did not come from scrap material left over from the Cirque, 3) I don't camp out in a flop house with a skate park in front, and 4) my kids wake up in the morning thinking about how to go about their day instead of trying to make me feel better about mine.
Wow, I've sunk mighty low. Comparing myself to LBM to make myself look good. Maybe next I can compare myself to Jeffrey Dahmer to make it seem like I'm a good cook, or Paris Hilton to make me seem smart.
Nighty night all.

I took a look at Tummytube as I couldn't resist watching a train wreck..I made one startling observation while there: J&J webpage is chock full of Laura and Tommy's crapola! Why it is still called Jeff and Jer is beyond me. I apologize if I'm pulling a "one who shan't be named" act, but something is definitely coming down the pike in regards to the make up of the show. If J&J retire in the near future and FH and LBM replace them, that would be the end of the world as we know it. I am hoping Clear Channel is not considering this move. They really need to look deeper into the lives of these two and think twice before any decision is made. This is just speculation on my part, mind you, but I am left feeling dumbfounded.

Maybe I've failed to elucidate the attempt to mock...... Here's what you've blocked -- and here's what I've added:
RE-POSTED by Dilbert-1985:
Yes you heard right this morning. Jeff said how Jerry will leave someday and then he will have to get a new partner.
He's already had three partners, but understands how God blesses his efforts to be a Christian man who truly knows how to be a marriage partner for "better or worse."
Nobody knows what their future holds. Somebody said their contract expired this month, so who knows what's up with that. We would all be sad if Jeff or Jerry decided to move on to bigger and better things -- like retirement.
They could continue with a new contract or maybe they will have a new contract. Or, they could get a contract that's new that is a new contract, because continuing with a new contract may not be as good for them as getting a new contract.
Maybe Jeff knows something we don't know, maybe Jerry doesn't want to go on for the longer term. Maybe Jeff knows we don't know and he knows we don't know so he's using what he knows we don't know to tease us about what things we may not know he knows but we don't know.
Little Tommy has droppped hints from time to time about changes to the Showgram so I think that there really could be changes yet to come. Because hints are merely Tommy's way of telling us what might happen without telling us what WILL happen with the changes that might, or might not, happen to the Showgram during the next few years as the Showgram changes but doesn't change too much because we only have the things Jeff knows but doesn't know he knows to tell us what we may know about the Showgram.
You see the concept(is)? Dilbert writes stupid stuff -- and Jake writes even more stupid stuff to MOCK the stupid stuff Dilbert writes. You all ignore Dilbert -- and Jake tells you how stupid he is and you don't have to get mad at Dilbert and give him the satisfaction of invading your thread. It's a simple concept(is) and could be fun -- but, if it seems "equally annoying" we can go back to making fun of cheap clothes once a week. I write to please....me

One need not "compare" to look "smart" next to LBM -- You've got that hands-down.
As for Jeffry Dahmer....you need not compare yourself as a cook --- but, rather, a better "connisseur" of cuisine.
Last, but not least, you need not compare yourself to Paris Hilton to seem smart.

Friday September 7, 2007 9am: It's the weekend! GO CHARGERS! Chargers 34 Bears 17! I get the kids early Sunday morning, so today and tomorrow I'm working out a lot and just doing stuff around the house.
Today/Friday: I'm doing Bikram Yoga at 4:30 or 6:30……I'm also going to try to walk Mission Bay this afternoon.
Saturday: 5:45am Iron Mountain…….9am Torrey Pines……..Noon lifting weights
Sunday: 7:45am Cowles Mountain…..Some of the regulars are starting at 7am at Cowles.
If I get Eddie and Vanessa at this time, we will still do the walk.
Email me at
[email protected] what so he can send us nasty emails or stalk us by our IP and address?
I feel that I'm prepared to do the 3 day. I'm needing to make sure the TEAM is signed up and some of the regulars that do the walks and hikes are all signed up and we raise money for everyone to get in. BUDDIES FOR LIFE is our team along with Channel 8 and Barbara Lee Edwards!
I'm thinking I'm going to do the TENT thing overnight at the 3 day! I think I'm going to tough it out instead of going home each night to rest. I will stay in the tent and get everyone upset because I snore really loud. SORRY!
TOMMYTUBE: There's a sneak preview on the website to TOMMYTUBE. One night a week, we will go LIVE from my house and see what Laura and I are up to OR is it me and Laura or Laura and me?
All is well and I will write more later. My mom is doing fine and my kids are cool and my relationship with Michelle is going really well. Thank you for all the emails on going to church and the emails on my relationship with Michelle. It's cool to get emails about wondering if it was too soon. I honestly can tell you, I JUST KNEW from the start. I am so happy right now and I am so happy the children are doing really well with all this as well. That is our first concern but couldn't give them a heads up before he blabbed on the air?and that does come first for both of us. We are engaged and that's our business NOW when the day comes to get married that will be THE KIDS decision on when that will happen. We will not change a thing for the kids….Our kids love their schools and we will not interrupt that. If we get married today, nothing will change for them. If we get married in a million years, then I will wait, but all is well and I'm doing really cool with all this…
I was actually thinking this morning about FINALLY having something in common with Paul McCartney. yeah, you both picked a bad woman (moochelle) to marry the second time around....i won't even go into sharlow and the other ditzPaul is my hero and I tried so hard for so many years to be in a band like the Beatles. Well, that of course never happened. Then, I tried to be in a band like Wings, but that of course never happened. What I do have in common NOW with Paul is the LOVE he had for Linda. I have that same LOVE he had for Linda. He never ever was away from her (only in a Japan jail) and he raised all the kids with her. Well, another week of the Jeff and Jer Radio Showgram is over.
Jeff is going this weekend back to his hometown in Ohio, and will introduce B.J. Thomas at the county fair there. Those people in San Diego who grew up somewhere else always have a place in their heart for their hometown. It brings back so many memories for Jeff to go back and visit.
Gosh, remember, when Jeff got a tattoo of a map of Ohio on his arm? So he has fond rememberances of growing up and middle America and all that. But then to his kids, San Diego is their hometown. So to everyone who grew up someplace else, remember that to your kids, San Diego is their hometown, and their place that they will have all the nostalgia as their hometown someday.
Little Tommy has worked harder than most of us know to get this Tommy Tube thing set up properly. So everybody can check it out on the web site. Please go there and click on Tommy Tube.
And then like Tommy says, him and Michelle aren't just going to rush into anything. They take it slow. The kids are going to be the ones to decide when they get married. So take Tommy at his word and you can take that to the bank!
We should all be proud of Laura for crossing the six month threshold of being sober and clean. Do you realize that most people who go to rehab will relapse? But Laura is strong and taking it one day at a time. Laura might seem sometimes like a happy go lucky kind of girl who just takes life as it comes, but we see from this that she is stronger than you might think. Did anyone hear yesterday how a lot of people called in to the Showgram and said how Laura inspired them? You can't argue with that. She has inspired people whether some people here think she did or not.

I was waiting for the Linda-Moochelle comparison. That FH is really F*@#ed in the head. When he was married to Danelle he had two great kids and we heard about what a great cook she was and how she did her scrapbooking, etc. He cheats on her and all of a sudden she is a small mistake in his life who never put candles on his cake? So now he knows Moochelle for 60 days now and she is the love of his life? Dude, FH stop insulting Paul McCartney by comparing your life to his. He never did anything to you.

Here's the junk for today, blah blah
Dear Diary,
Tommy is the best guy ever. When I got home from work yesterday, I found a bunch of fun sober-related treats on my bed. Tommy left key chains, coins and other sobriety tokens marking my various lengths of no-boozin'. He also left this beautiful plaque about friendship and the coolest wooden box to put all my tokens and things in. I was so touched by this unexpected celebration.
Last night, Tommy came with me to my meeting. He stood up when it was token time to present me with the blue 6 month chip. He said the nicest things. Again, I realized how thankful I am to be an alcoholic. Honestly. Because of this dang thing I have in my brain, I have met the most interesting people. In those rooms, I hear the most inspirational, sometimes shocking, always reassuring stories from people who are nothing like me, but just like me.
Tomorrow night, I'm emcee-ing an event at The Marston House in Balboa Park. It's called Laughing Out Loud and it benefits The Stepping Stone, which is a recovery center for people with substance abuse problems. And, it's free. And, it has a huge success rate. Anyway, I was all over it when they asked me to be a part of this. Plus, I get to meet THE Nellie Olsen! She's going to do some kind of stand-up routine.
This afternoon, I pick up my babies for the weekend. We're thinking about doing Dave and Busters tonight. OR, Chuck E Cheese because Charlie says he has a bunch of tokens or tickets left over from the last time he was there. Oh, goody, so that means I get to spend 20 bucks or more so Charlie can win a bunch more tickets and then turn them all in for some crappy plastic parachute guy! What a rip!
We have our bed pillows already allocated. Charlie gets the one with the stripped pillow case, Evie gets the Minnie Mouse pillow case and I get whatever I can grab during the night. I wish we had a camera hanging from the ceiling just to take a picture in the wee hours of the morning of all of us sleeping in that queen bed. Last time the kids spent the weekend with me, I woke up at 3am to find Charlie diagonal on the bed, Evan sleeping with her head at the foot of the bed and me hanging onto the very edge of the bed…like I was hanging onto a cliff for dear life. I bet it looked pretty funny.
BTW, I cannot wait for the Fall TV season to start up. I miss my weekly shows…Prison Break, Lost, Heroes, The Office and I'm even into Survivor this time. I tried to get into Big Brother 8. Watched it last night for a bit and was turned off by the people. Yuck. Oooo…just remembered that a new Intervention is on tonight. Yippee!
I can't wait to snuggle with my babies! I'm so excited!
See you on Monday, Diary.

LBM has FH babysitting all the kids (including her's) saturday night so she can emcee an event? LBM just told FH that they like to stay up late! So is that because it allows her to sleep in on sunday morning? What a great mom...no schedule, no consistency!
-------------------------------------------------------------
Wow, what a slumber party!! FH's kids, LBM's kids, Moochelle's kids, the neighbor kids, who else??
I am seriously considering dropping MY kids off at FH's house and have a great weekend. Oh, wait, I am a responsible parent and mature adult. Never mind.

Good to acclimate your kids to playing alongside drunk happy hour crowders...How is she going to watch a young girl like Evie and Charlie (and of course, his collection of buddies from the old 'hood) at that place?

Laura is more torn up by the seperations than anybody will ever know. There's lotsa private stuff between her and Dave also. It's just not an easy situation on anybody. So if Laura can take the kids out and have a good time, she should do that. They need to know their parents still care and love them even if the parents aren't together. And don't forget that Laura has been a working mom all these years and knows you have to give your kids quality time.

It's a wedding band set! What the heck? Did anyone else notice this? It's not even two bands sautered together, it's an engagment ring, and the wedding band that goes with it. I think it's really strange to put them together like that, when he's proposed...

Although I agree that it's weird to show both rings together, I think that they just thought that since they were purchsed as a set...well, they wanted to show the "I'm-a-big-deal-in-San-Diego-and-I-can-get-comped-a-great-price-on-a-run-of-the-mill-style-wedding-set-for-my-celebrity-chasing-new-fiancee" whole thing at once!

I feel I have that same LOVE and I am looking forward to my future with Michelle.
Ok weren't Paul and Linda married for a long time? You can't say you have their love after a few months of dating. He seriously has lost his mind...FH and moochelle don't even live together yet so they are always apart from each other and they aren't raising any kids together....Seriously where did he come up with this comparison? What an idiot.
And I don't want to even try and picture him singing.....

I have worked harder than most of us know to get this Tommy Tube thing set up properly. So everybody can check it out on the web site. Please go there and click on Tommy Tube.
And then like I say, me and Michelle aren't just going to rush into anything. We'll take it slow. The kids are going to be the ones to decide when we get married. So take me at my word and you can take that to the bank!
You can say that again Tommy Tubby Dil!

lorira, I would agree if your kids were over the age of 10 or 11....well, wait. I wouldn't say it was a "fine" place for them, I just think it's too much rubbing elbows with adults who come to drink. Not a good place for young kids. The whole arcade experience (to me) is so much about divorced parents who don't really want to relate to their kids...
HEre's my take: if you have kids, you do stuff together where you can actually talk to each other during daylight hours, stuff they like to do. You don't head off to a place where you basically are focusing on video screens and junk prizes and fast food.
Here in San Diego, Laura, (not talking at lorira here, but to LBM who evidently took custody of the keyboard) we have some more kid-appropriate places, family fun centers where you can play miniature golf, for instance. Padre Game? Not too bad, as long as you don't have to hang outside a beer stand and hope those two kids from the frozen yogurt place come along.
I know that things are different if you think you are a big deal and you need to be near where you can sneak a ciggie and pretend you are hanging with the singles like in college, but when you have kids, I would hope that the kids have activities on the weekend like soccer, or maybe dance classes, swimming, etc. etc. where you go to bed fairly early on Fri nite so you can get up early and go out and do stuff on Saturday and maybe even Sunday that is kid-focused.
This having a frat house for under 10 year olds at FatHead's house is not the same. Going to Dave and Buster's on a Friday nite is not the same. Again, the kinds of folks who head over there on a Friday nite are not the ones I would want kids around all the time. There are some less drunk-intensive times at D&B's, I'm saying. Like early afternoons on Saturday. But leave the evening hours to the adults who are coming there.

Laura, since we know you're lurking. Here's some suggestions for you, things my kids and I do together...
Most Barnes and Noble's have a storytime on Friday night
Take a walk or hike and explore nature. There's Mission Trails, Poway Lake, etc.
Go to Michael's and grab some craft/art supplies, sit with them and use your IMAGINATIONS.
Play some games. Even Evie can play Candyland, Go Fish, Old Maid, etc.
Cook or bake something together (we know you don't cook, but even something as easy as grabbing a Boboli crust and some sauce and pre-shredded cheese...or premixed cookie dough)
They've seen and heard more than their little eyes, ears, and hearts ever should. Make memories with them - they will enjoy these types of moments much more than a loud crazed evening playing video games. Step up and be a MOM. You might actually enjoy it.
