Look who else is also doing Tradio and is also stuck on a diamond ring. Surprise! http://www.b975.com/showdj.asp?DJID=11604 It's also interesting to note they too posted the same voicemail cheat codes JnJ were talking about for days last week. Gee, these guys are getting so original in their ideas I just can't stand it anymore. They are getting paid how much to just regurgitate other people's bits?
Kristen's diary also has an update from yesterday. It makes for some interesting reading. http://www.b975.com/showdj.asp?djid=29729 I'm really surprised Kristen is living in an apartment and not living with Jeff in his mansion near the beach.
I found a website that shows that they (J&J) pay a writing company for show ideas and funny bits (its a past posting I was too lazy to go back and find) I bet Kristens station just uses the same company. Both radio shows websites look a lot alike.
From Kristens diary my guess is that she lives in Encinitas "The first day I found TJ Maxx, Homegoods, and Target so I'm feeling right at home" Those are all on El Camino Real in Encinitas. Jeff said that he shopped at Kohls and Walmart in Oceanside, but actually it is right on the edge of Carlsbad (about 15 minutes from Encinitas) So she either lives in Carlsbad or Encinitas. Why do you think nothing has happened between them?? Look where she has her tattoo.

Thanks for the info. Very intriguing. I too am ashamed of their unoriginal ideas. Kristin is a good Christian girl. She would never live with Jeff. She hasn't even seen him naked - if she had, she'd leave him, especially after realizing once and for all that he dyes his hair. Of course, it's OK to rush into a marriage with a guy that has already broken up two families and has numerous kids. That tells me one thing: she's a virgin and she's horny.
Kristen is divorced. I don't think she's still a virgin.

Well...Jeff says he listens to Dr. Laura and she strongly urges "no shacking up"....so being the good Christens Jeff and Kristen claim to be....they are waiting til after they are married. However....you can't tell me they haven't slept together. What a crock! LOL

You don't have to get naked to see that someone dyes their hair or wears a toupee.
Althought I did have a friend that had slept with this guy on numerous occasions and it wasn't until I pointed it out to her that he had a hair piece. She said he even showered with it. Is that not too funny?

I agree....why can't guys deal with baldness. Look at Hank Bauer....he would look ridiculous with a hair piece. Why they think it looks natural, beats me. I can spot them a mile away.
Now my hair stylist, did have a hair transplant and I have to admit....after it all grew in....you would never know it.

They ALL share. I have a friend that lives in Texas...there are two shows Kidd Kraddick in Dallas and JB and Sandy in Austin that are almost identical to Jeff and Jer. She would tell me of bits they were doing that J&J did 3 months earlier.
JB and Sandy even hired Beth from the old J&J show. JB and Sandy moved back to Austin from Dallas and Beth stayed behind and had her own morning show.
The point is: Nothing is original...it's all used and reused schtick. They all fly down to those DJ conventions where they share everything and head back to their own cities armed with some other guys bits.

Got back from jingle ball
great show, did anyone else go? I thought it was great everyone played 6 songs. Train and switchfoot rocked, b-52's i thought were horrible, los lonely was ok, alanis was great, hootie was good as always. overall great show, sounds kept messing up thought. HEY i was on the big screen TV when they showed people talking. I was wearing a blue RUSTY sweater, and me and my sister sang(even though the first part u couldnt hear)...did anyone see me?

Were there a lot of empty seats at Jingle Ball? I got the feeling they didn't even come close to a sell out even though they kept saying only a "few" tickets left over the past month. Jer even went on to say that there were people actually standing in line to purchase tickets at the arena the night before. I find that hard to believe.

Did anyone else hear the Jingle Ball promotion bit they played this morning? It was put together with people talking that were at JB, telling how much they loved it etc...Funny thing was one of the women speaking said she was sooooo glad to have gotten tickets since they sold out so quickly(???????) They still had seats available the same day as the concert didn't they? I am so tired of Jeff & Jer constantly patting themselves on the back for being so great & sick of how everyone they "let" on the radio goes on and on about how wonderful they are.

Didn't you know? According to Jerry, this was the BEST Jingleball EVER and it was all thrown together in 9 weeks time thanks to the folks at Viejas! This must have been a slap in the face to Tracey Johnson and his team of people who spend ALL YEAR putting together Jingle Ball. HAHAHAHAHA!

I heard that too! She sounds so excited because she almost didn't get to go...I bet they still had seats at concert time.
Either they hired an actress to do that bit or they used a clip from a previous JingleBall. Because they still had 2nd row and center available on ticketmaster while people were paying/bidding $2000 on front row when I checked.
Whoever went please let us know. Bricheese told us about the bands, what was the atmosphere like? Crowded? Were the booths they had set up cool?
I heard Laura ask how the B-52's were, did something happen that she didn't go?
They really do think a LOT of themselves. This is Becky's House and they are Jeff and Jer, NOT "We are the World". Why would they think that Gwen Stephani would play with ANY of the people they were saying will be JingleBall next year? Maybe B.E.P.

Jingle ball. the crowd sucked. i was the only one dancing around. in my section until secuity guard got mad. the sound wasnt that good. jeff and jef and the crew were backstage almost the whole time. alot of people left before the b-52 they didnt miss anything. the stuff inside was kool but they didnt open the doors until 6, it should have been earlier. i thought it was the best one yet. id rather see these bands rather then some super popular band. i thought the acts this year were really good.

How can we find out the stuff Jerry bought?
You can't find out what the actual items are if they are "private" (as they are).
What you can do is click on the sellers who he bought from to see what they are selling now, many times you will notice that sellers usually deal in the same products if their ratings are high. I noticed on one of the sellers that a majority of their products for sale were private, but there were a few that you could see that weren't private and looked to be :censored:. See for yourself.

lovethedrama

Here's a link that shows 3 items that he bought. The titles are hidden, but you can view them by signing in to ebay, then verifying that you are over 18 so you can view items in the Adults-Only section. If you click on his feedback rating (61), many items are listed as private. One would assume that these are Adult-Only items also.

Jerry is definitely a pervert with serious issues. I know from a reliable source that he and Pam are - shall we say - willing to share the goods. Yes, they are swingers. It is a community joke in La Jolla. That's probably why they don't have kids. They are too busy with the kinky stuff to worry about the wellfare of another being. And Pam does know about his purchases, believe me. Jer's ego is so big, he thinks he's some kind of Hugh Hefner.

So true. I know a sweet (but stupid) girl he use to date years back. She was beautiful, very young, from a wealthy family and a VIRGIN. He tried soooooooooo hard to get her to give it up. He wore her on his arm like a trophy when they would go out. Thank God she kept saying "NO! not until I get married". Of course he didn't like the "M" word and she kept saying no so he finally dumped her. Poor thing, she really loved him or so she thought. She was tore up over the breakup for quite some time. Now that she is a little older and much wiser boy is she glad she didn't give him what he really wanted.:eek2:
And one more thing, BOY OH BOY!! Jerry really is a perv!! What a pompus @ss he really is. Kinda funny too how Jeff can be such good friends with Jer if their lifestyles are sooooo different, (Buddist, vegetarian, childless, swinger, porn lover vs. Born again Christian, meateater, junk food junkie, kids galore.....) Oh yeah, they do have one thing in common. They are both pompus jerks.

You are so right about J&J being so pompous. Jer probably drinks so much every day and spends his time with porno, most likely because he has so little self esteem and just to deal with his ignorance and guilt. Jeff can't stay in a marriage because he is so into himself and is so needy. Nina is far better off without him.
Several years ago, a woman came to work for my company. She had just come from working with J&J. I had just started listening to them and was excited and wanted her to tell me the all and all on them. All she could say is that they, expecially Jerry, were true jerks. She couldn't wait to get away from that job. I try hard to listen to them daily now, but find myself switching real quick to another station. I really didn't need to hear about what Jeff's little girl wants for Christmas. This took up the whole show. They are so out of material. It won't be long before 94.1 gets tired of them and then they will be forced to enter into a mental institution. Oh my!!

Years ago I was involved with a promotion with a N.C. Bank and Y-95. At that time, Pam Finn (before she was married), was a dj. The station was there to present winnings to the audience. Hank Bauer was there in all his pompous glory. I was in charge of directing traffic and he drove in in his Mercedes convertible. He wanted to park in this one space that was reserved for an emergency vehicle. I directed him to another spot, he flipped me off and zoomed away.
During the presentation ceremony, he was on stage with Pam and was oggling her and making suggestive comments. Not good entertainment.
After the event, bank customers wrote to complain and the bank vowed that Y-95 would never be invited to another event.

You know what would be great...Is if someone here knows who Nina hooked up with. I heard through a haircutter friend of mine that it's someone with the Padres organization, and that's WHY they split the sheets - She was already involved. I can't go so far as to call Jer a pompous jerk. He was very nice to my daughter at one of those Halloween carnivals at the elementary school where Jeff's kids went Or was it just that the school was behind his house there, I don't quite recall). Anyhoo. Jerry did his "play thing" there every year, and my girl was worried that the play would be too scary for her. He chatted it up with her, and was really nice to her, and made a big deal after the show about whether or not she liked it.
We were going through some tough times about then, so it was really nice for her. I have to give him a "pass" because of that.
But don't feel you have to quit dragging out the hot gossip and stuff on him because of THAT!!!
I do think it is cool that he and Pam found each other.
Hmmm. itz me tom...I don't care so much to know the NAME of the guy Nina was (is?) with, but is it still going on, or is she single and wishing she hadn't?

Yes Nina like balls, real balls, and that's why she ditched Jeff- he has no balls. He's a sit-down-and-pee wimp with numerous emotional issues as we've come to learn from his counseling sessions.
Nina did have the hots for Caminiti :nono: - but nothing ever transpired. The reason she and Jeff are no more is none other than former Padre Sterling Hitchcock. As you recall, he was recently reacquired by the Friars, but had a string of injuries that forced him to call it the end. he's been involved behind the scenes in the organization though - and from a reliable source - He's been involved under the sheets with Ms. Nina...

First of all - the fact that Jer and Pam swing is not speculation. It is absolute truth. I am a resident of La Jolla, live near them, and am friends with individuals with "first-hand" knowledge. Furthermore, I have a good friend who is in the entertainment and sports marketing and management business who has given me quit a bit of info on numerous local celebs - including Laura and Nina.

The Padres also had Jay Payton on their team at the time of the break-up. He was traded to the Boston Red Sox last winter. I know Jay is single, he lived in a condo downtown. Maybe he could be the Jay. I have also heard (from a salon in Del Mar where Nina goes or used to go) that she was involved with a Padre. But somewhere someone said it wasn't a player but a behind the scenes guy. It's interesting to speculate...

I am soo VERY HAPPY :woohoo: right now!!! I got FLOOR tickets to Aerosmith!! My husband is going to poop his pants when Santa comes Christmas morning!! We saw them at Sports Arena before and they put on one of the best shows we've seen with a huge runway stage that they walk out over/through the floor on. Now this is an incentive to diet, you know being within eyeshot of Joe Perry-LOL! :wow:
I just have to laugh I was looking at the ornament from JingleBall that they are selling (it must not have been that big of a hit at JingleBall that they have leftovers). Well on the back it says "Collectors Edition"
I really started to laugh inside. Do you remember the movie Tommy Boy with Chris Farley? (a MUST see) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114694/quotes
He's trying to sell a customer and says to him "I can take a dump in this box and stamp it guaranteed, but all you got is a guaranteed piece of sh!t"
1. Just goes to How collectible are they if they are still for sale- Bobbleheads ring a bell anyone? I have 2 and they rarely sell on eBay.
2. If you buy you'll have a "collector's edition" piece of crap LOL

I am sure Jerry does like his wife and it makes sense that he talks about her constantly. I love twinkies, love eating their golden shell and sweet, creamy filling. I would like to travel the world opening others' hearts and minds to the goodness of these preservative-laiden snacks. I love them - but I am also willing to share them. Pam, my friends, is the twinkie. Love her, share her :agree: . Hey - in case you haven't noticed - fat Jeff is back. Two tons of fun is back in the ring. I saw him recently and he has acquired a few lbs. They go nicely with his jet black hair (aka toupee). He has not been talking about all of the health food, exercise, etc. because he's back to his old McDonalds eating self. Maybe he was trying to lose weight to keep Nina or something. I like him better bigger anyway - reminds me of Bob's Big Boy. Oh how I yearn for those hot toasty buns - the restaurant's, not Jeff's. They do have one up in the Burbank area.

Anyone here remember a few years back when Jeff went on that 30 day fast taking in nothing but water? He claimed he did it just to prove that food should not run anyone's life. Shortly after he went off the fast a few listeners phoned in and said they saw Jeff and his wife Nina at a grocery store with THREE shopping carts FULL with food. I guess he had to makeup for lost time. No amount of lipo suction is going to keep the weight off if you are like Jeff and a food magnet. How many people need McDonalds for breakfast every morning on top of the breakfast food they already get from that deli? Anyone else notice that Jeff never talks about exercising just dieting? The two go hand-in-hand if you want to keep the weight off. I'm just wondering who will reach maximum tonnage first, Jeff or Tommy.

Senior Gordito - our rotund friend Jeff - used to "talk" about pilates. Whether he actually did them is the real question. But what is pilates anyway - it's a status thing. "Oh why darling, I do pilates...that's foreign you know. All the famous people are doing it." Meanwhile, there's some tan guy with a brand new porsche and a diamond incrusted rolex, laughing in his gold plated office as he watches migrant workers on the sweaty factory floor below attaching rubber bands to old ironing boards and rebranding them as pilates equipment -fitness of the stars. Jeff supposedly surfs but one of these days he's going to get a harpoon in his side. He'll scream in pain - I am not Free Willy!"

Yep, he mentioned once that his hottub cost him just over $20,000 equipped with waterproof LCD TV that pops up. This was a post Nina split-up purchase for his new digs in Del Mar.

I hear "the Jay" is a scout, and they are still together.

Laura is a walking abnormality. In her diary, she describes how she got tired of talking to a guy while at the Charger game on Sunday (she was in a luxury box). What did she do? She left and sat in the car for the rest of the game! She's nuts. She also comments that she drank a lot in the box (it's free), and then while she was wobbling to her car, she purchased more wine. She has a problem - big time. Maybe if she got a boob job, we'd like her better?

If she did, we would hear less from Jer since he would be staring at her all day instead of doing his job.

The last time I remember reading about it in her old diary, she said that Dave didn't want her to get them. I don't know if he really didn't want her to get them, or if he just didn't want to pay for them. She wasn't specific. Maybe it was a little of both.

So what is she - a fat, half Black/half Caucasian Jewish woman who has an inherent desire to be the center of attention and is annoyingly opinionated? She'll mesh well with Greg "Free Willy" Simms. She can analyze his childish behavior and obsessive eating habilts. In terms of the breaking and entering Christmas - it would be great if they did it AND we didn't know about it. However, they use it to get publicity, earn themselves praise, and in the end, increase ratings which means more money in their pockets. The real saints give with anyone ever knowing... They act like it's so secret, that they are discretely breaking into the home and leaving behind wonderful things - but they broadcast in on the radio. The family could be listening and realize what is happening - or a freiend/relative could tell them after the fact.
Monique looks like Valerie Bertinelli with a few too many drinks, cigarettes, and wrinkles, and a lot of hard living, southern style. $100 says she has a rose tattooed someplace on her body...

This was absolutely the lamest B & E. Tommy had the fake wobbily voice like he's was on the verge of tears the WHOLE time.
To add drama they said the Mom's car was not starting(it did)- coincidence that they were going to give her a new car (they always do). I thought when they first read the letter she was riding the bus??:shake:
They gave the family a 2 week trip to Maui saying that they paid for it, is it a coincidence that Tradio just had a 2 week stay on Maui??
Why the heck did they give 4 bikes to 3 boys?? an xBox 360?? They had to have hooked Jeff up too since he got ripped off on eBay.
Every year as Tommy whimpers, that he relates the situation to himself, boohoo I slept on the couch, boohoo The mom works to take care of her children boohoo my mom worked to take care of us boohoo sheesh enough already.
I am really happy that they blessed this family with an awesome christmas at a time when it has to be so heartbreaking. I can relate my 23 yo step daughter passed away from brain cancer on Sunday Dec 11, leaving 5 children.

I agree with most of the post here about B&E, they do use it to get ratings but who really cares in the end if a very needy family receives so much from it. It's not like the "Thank You" party where people go to throw praises at the showgram and get only lame food and drunkeness out of it. Regardless of Tommy's fake tears and Jeff's stating on the radio while Tommy was "on hold" that it was Tommy who secretly donated the Hawaii trip, the end result is this family will have something to smile about during such a sad time in their lives. It will give them the lift they need to move forward. Bless them!
And I don't listen all the time but I thought they were taking some plastic surgery for the Maui trip? They probably just decided to give the trip to the family and Tommy "donated" the rest, probably more like he got others to donate but what the heck eh?

I suppose it doesn't have the same effect on some people. I find myself being thankful for whoever is responsible in helping that family...whatever they get, (X-Box, Car, Food ), I don't care. Yeah, but it's CHRISTMAS guys. It isn't always just about giving the family the necessities. It's about lifting spirits, bringing happiness and joy. They probably would never be able to go on trip to Hawaii but now they will make unforgettable memories and it will bring some joy to their lives. After the loss of the husband/father I personally think a trip would be nice to just forget about your troubles for a little while. With all the hard work it is to support a family, a little "down" time will be a good thing. And the xbox, that is for the boys, they shouldn't have to think or worry about finances, they should be just be able to be happy that they have such a cool gift.

JB and Sandy even hired Beth from the old J&J show. JB and Sandy moved back to Austin from Dallas and Beth stayed behind and had her own morning show.

This was absolutely the lamest B & E. Tommy had the fake wobbily voice like he's was on the verge of tears the WHOLE time.
an xBox 360?? They had to have hooked Jeff up too since he got ripped off on eBay.
I'm wondering if the XBOX 360 Jeff ended up getting on ebay(link here) (http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBidItems&userid=wwst960&completed=1&all=1&rows=25&sort=3)for over $600 just the core system plus the $160 hard drive accessory was really going to Randy for the showgram's gift exchange and not his son. Both Jeff and Jer have an agreement that they get the rest of the show high ticket items for christmas each year. An $800 gift to Randy from Jeff is not considered too much money to spend.

Where's Boris?
Maybe he's discovering that ...
Kristen is really Jeff's daughter from a relationship he had in college.
On his off hours, Dave Cain flys illegals over the border and is having an affair with Rita.
Jerry & Pam actually run a swingers club in Italy.

You do if your mom lives there and you want her to be involved in picking them. However, what really gets me is that Kristen has already been married once before. It's not like this is their first marriage for either of them but from the way they are talking(she's waiting for marriage before giving herself to Jeff and looking for dresses) you'd think they were never married before.
I don't know why the big deal over a second wedding. Just get it over with and have a bang up party.

You call and I answer - like a cloaked double-agent hiding in a darkened corner, ready to unleash a ninja-powered can of whoop ass. Actually, I have been busy doing some slealth-like dirt gathering on our good friends at 94.1. This just in - Jeff wears a Speedo. Please, try and control your outrage... I have actually seen him at the beach in Del Mar with his family though - it's true. Laura could not buy the toys they picked out at Toys-R-Us the other day. They had the store hold them until pay day! The Cain family is completely disfunctional and uncapable of managing money. I know some people who have kids enrolled at Charlie's school. Laura is known behind the scenes as the "bad" mom. You know, the one who gets her child to school late, picks him up late, forgets to pack lunch and when she does remember send unhealhty foods, turn-in homework, paperwork, and permission slips. He goes to school with hair uncombed, unbathed, etc. Luckily he wears a uniform so he matches...

Ladies and gentlemen - mother of the year for 2006, Ms. Laura Cain.... We interrupt this program for a special alert, hell has just frozen over...
She was so into the stunt this morning to try and get the Dollar Tree shut down so she could shop like a celebrity. The sad thing is that she really thinks she's famous and yearns to be with all of her being. She is so star struck. FYI Laura - you're a second-hand DJ on a small market station. Your name is not even in the show's title.

The first time she said it- like a year or two ago I was so motivated that I cleaned out my purse(s) and car that weekend. (I scored! about 10 lipsticks and over $100!!)
Today it was like well yeah my car AND my purse are pigsty's, but there's shopping to do and presents to wrap, menu's to plan, costco. I don't know if I wasn't motivated because she did a crappy job of presenting it, pretty much like her stupid personality quiz's :boring: or because she should have held off bringing it up till after the holidays when everyone is motivated to get organized and start fresh. Laura said in her diary that she got a "FAT" gift certificate to Matti D's...whatever that is...that's the only mention of a gift I heard.
She also said that she fell asleep in her car after she got back to the station from the party yesterday, left the concert early last night to go to bed, and fell asleep on the floor this morning during the replay of B&E. What the heck does she do all day to get that amazingly tired! Maybe she and Jeff need to go to a sleep therapist together!

It's because she's a complete loser. She works an easy 4-hour per day job. Who the hell does she think she is, falling asleep under the desk! I'd fire her if I were the station manager. That "FAT" gift certificate was NO LESS than $500 and probably more like $1,000 if it was a combined gift from Jeff and Jer. Am I missing something here? Is Laura the only one in the world who doesn't get 24 hours in a day??? For crying out loud! She barely makes it into work on time to work her 4 hour shift. She's out of that parking lot within 5 minutes after their show is over at 10:00am. They NEVER eat at home as she is constantly talking about eating out at Jimmy Carters so you know she doesn't have to prepare any food. What exactly does she do during the rest of her 20 hour weekday where she can't fit much sleep in? Most radio DJ's who have to get up at 5:00am usually are in bed BEFORE 11:00pm. I guess her party lifestyle is just way more important than taking care of herself.

We've been detailing - and quite well I might add - Laura's total retardation and absurdity. She may be the only woman in the history of San Diego to win crappiest mother of the year; best cocaine snorter of the year; most outstanding lush of the year; worst financial strategist of the century; and greatest all around screw-up ever awards at one sitting. Applause…
Now, finally, my fact about Jer being a sick and twisted swinger is validated. We already know he's a porn fiend. Now he's into this stupid diet - no wait, it's a lifestyle change. Sure Jer, you know all about "lifestyle" changes - you vegetarian, tofu-rich, swinging horn dog. The Perricone way of eating is magic, he's a genius... FYI, he's a frigging dermatologist, not a nutritionist, not a scientist, not even an internist. Well Oprah has him on her show so he must be a god - FYI Jer - Oprah is a TV personality. She has him on because he's controversial and boosts ratings. Oprah is a walking self-help clinic - she hides her long list of tragic issues behind her stardom. I mean come on - she also has (witch)-Dr. Huckelberry Hound, I mean Phil on. He's an idiot too.
Don't eat bread and grains?? That's what sustained humans in biblical times. That's what civilizations have based their diets on for centuries. Look at the hunters and gatherers in Africa - were they fat and tired? No, they were lean, mean, loin-cloth wearing machines. And raisins and bananas - both are quite healthy. If Jer wants to lose some lbs - try cutting down on the beer (made from grains) and exercising. Perricone is a documented quack with a laundry list of damaging allegations against him - look him up and see for yourself! It was funny when Jer said Perricone promotes eating fish. Jer immediately dismissed that notion - but the zit doctor is stilla genius - OK, whatever.

Laura is doing her very exclusive "Celebrity News" segment right now - and it's information that I just read on MSNBC.com. Either I should have my own Celebrity News segment on the radio (because I, too, can read aloud), or she should just tell people to look at the news on MSNBC.com and just save some airwave bandwidth.
And, Laura, if you're going to read the information direct from the internet, why don't you maybe rewrite it a little to make it at least SOUND like news, instead of just reading it verbatim from the internet...

The homeless story was such a lame piece of garbage. The worst part was when Jerry - the resident cry baby - began to whimper. Give me a break. I am sorry, but there are many options for aid available to those who are on the streets. Yes, it might take a while to get the aid and one might have to be persistent, but it's out there. I understand that people go through hard times and may become homeless for a few days, weeks, or even months. But this guy has been homeless for years and years and years. He flat out says that he'd rather live without a roof over his head. That’s true of a lot of homeless people by the way. Numerous research studies have found that many homeless people would rather live on the streets for whatever reasons. And his brother offered to let him come back and stay with him - but he refused.
The guy is not some saint either - he has abandoned his children, ruined his marriage, abused alcohol, etc. He has been in numerous fights, conned people, stolen, etc. He has no mental disease on which to blame his problem. Yes, he has Laura Cain syndrome, but that’s another story. Bottom line: he is lazy - as he was before he became homeless. I am sorry, but bad things happen to people who do bad things (as Jerry always rants) and refuse to make an effort in life. You can't expect to eat the pie if you don’t help pick the apples that go inside. You can’t be lazy and then expect things to just fall in your lap. Shame on Jerry for falling for such a piece of crap, and shame on him for clogging the airwaves with its worthless content.
Jerry – don’t insult us with your cheap attempts to invoke our empathy and heighten our emotions – thereby boosting your ratings. Save it for Oprah or the chick who does your nails...

I :love2: happily haven't been listening so I don't know what the long homeless thing is- what's the scoop?
ps I heard on the radio (I think 103.7) and a commercial talked about giving funds to Becky's house. So I guess Becky's house is not exclusive to J&J.
It's probably not an exclusively J&J thing anymore since they moved over to mega radio. They probably share with everyone else in town since they're all under one roof.
Also look for a big promotional blitz from ALL the morning shows in town. I just read an article that said they're all going after the Howard people that aren't springing for Sirius radio.

Well if they're just engaged, then he is still single, yes?
I have noticed that she hasn't posted to that diary of hers, but wouldn't they take it off the Tennessee's radio station website completely if there was no upcoming wedding?

I get so annoyed by the fact that Jeff and Jer (the and twisted Jerry Lewis/Frank Sinatra) wannabe constantly act like they are regular guys - worried about making ends meet like most of us. They are loaded! They just got a contract worth several million dollars. They acted like to couldn't go to the boat sale because it's only for rich people. BS! FYI - we know you're rich...
I was listening on my way in to work this morning (around 6:45) - they were talking about hostels in Europe. Tommy asked Jerry if he stayed in hostels when they travelled through Europe (because well know that he and Pam are SO well travelled:puke: ). Jerry said "I don't stay in hostels - I'm rich" - and then he repeated it again! Hello, arrogant! Way to reach out to the "average" listener:mad3:
I'm seriously contemplating getting XM radio - at least I won't have to hear the same lame crap that they do over and over again.

Cainitis:
Symptoms include whininess, general malase, the inability to stay awake at your job, “phoning it in” mentality, overuse of recreational pharmaceuticals along with alcohol, general tendencies towards laziness.

It wasn't funny yesterday Jerry and it is just plan lazy to do it again today. What was the point??? Oh, I forgot, to fill MORE time so they can put in the absolute least amount of effort into the show each day. I wonder if there is any clause in their contracts giving the station an out for any reason, say if they are soooooooo lame of a show they can get fired and not have to pay out the contract? (probably not). That's probably why they really don't give a crap about how good the show is. Their $$$ will continue to come in regardless of the crap they try to pass off as a morning show.

So Laura is planning to take a houseboat vacation? I sure hope her kids wear life jackets ALL THE TIME. I'm sure she is getting the trip for free but I would be too afraid to take such small children on that type of vacation. PLEASE LAURA, FOR THE CHILDRENS SAKE, MAKE THEM WEAR LIFE JACKETS ALL THE TIME. She is just asking for trouble. I can see it now....she'll be throwing back the glasses of wine and lose total track of where the kids are. According to her diary entry the other day she wasn't even keeping a close eye on her little daughter in their own house because little Evie got into her makeup. Just think what could have happened if she had left scissors, meds or even vitamins laying around and unattended small children on a house boat???? Scary!

New Arrival to Infuse Jack-FM With Personality
Media: After Dumping On-Air Talent, ‘Monica & the Man’ Lends Voice To an All-Music Format
By JESSICA LONG
San Diego Business Journal Staff
Stand-up comic Monique Marvez will debut her morning radio show, ‘Monique & the Man,’ on Jack 100.7 FM on Jan. 23, launching the only female-led radio show in the ultra-competitive morning drive-time slot.Nine months after adopting a radical new music format and ditching its on-air personalities, Jack 100.7 is ready to re-enter the morning radio show market with a stand-up comic at the microphone and plans to slowly recapture coveted advertising revenues.
“It’s a process,” said Tracy Johnson, vice president and general manager of KFMB-FM. “It takes a long time. We’re going to be patient in expecting results.”
Johnson said the eventual return of on-air personalities was part of the station’s plans all along and not in response to lost ratings and ad revenues. Regardless, Jack appears to be in store for an uphill battle because many listeners were turned off by the station’s new music format. The new format consists of a broad rock music mix of new and older songs that has been compared to an Apple iPod music shuffle.
“It has been my limited experience that the response to Jack has been fairly negative at least to the extent of our listener surveys,” said John Marks, program director for country radio station KSON 97.3 FM. “I think that the standard rule of thumb is a good morning radio show is really important, especially here. San Diego is one of the most competitive morning show radio markets. Because of that, the acceptance by the listener of a new morning show is going to be more slow and more deliberate than in other markets.”
Since the launch of Jack 100.7 in April, the station, which is owned by Chicago-based Midwest Television, Inc., has lost ratings to stations such as San Antonio-based Clear Channel Communications’ Star 94.1, which not only picked up Jack’s former Star name, but also attracted the popular morning show team Jeff & Jer.
Growing On Listeners
Despite the struggles with morning drive ratings, Johnson still believes the format change was a good idea and is growing on listeners every day.
“We’re very pleased with everything that’s happened over the past few months,” Johnson said, noting that the station has seen rating gains everywhere but during the morning time.
Jack’s new morning show, “Monique & the Man” will debut Monday, Jan. 23. It will feature newcomer Monique Marvez paired with a former Star 100.7 afternoon team, Greg Simms and Sara Kiani. Marvez, a Miami native who has worked as a stand-up comic for about 15 years, was chosen for the show based on a radio show talent search that drew more than 500 applicants.
“There was only one who really stood out, and that was Monique,” Johnson said.
The Talent
Marvez has had one prior radio host stint that mimicked the same woman vs. man routine she’ll follow in San Diego. Since the fall of 2003, she worked in Indianapolis for an adult-contemporary format station that recently switched to country.
Her humor is based largely on dating and relationships as well as pop culture observations; for those reasons, Marvez said she spends a significant amount of time off the air and offstage deliberately researching her surroundings for material.
“As a comic and a performer, I try to keep my act about the audience, not myself,” said Marvez, who has been dubbed the Latin Bette Midler by reviewers. “The materials have to be something that’s personal to them, something they care about. How conceited would it be for me to think all they want to do is hear about me and my life. I’m really not that interesting.”
As a stand-up, Marvez, who says her age is somewhere between Britney Spears and Jesus Christ, has traveled to Iraq to entertain U.S. troops and performed locally at the La Jolla Comedy Store and in Los Angeles at the famed Comedy Store on Sunset Boulevard, where she performs with Hot Tamales Live, an all-female, all-Latin performance group. She is also married to a retired Navy SEAL and Vietnam veteran and is eager to embrace San Diego’s military community.
“I think it will happen organically,” Marvez said, noting that she also hopes to create a strong Latino following.
Moonlighting In L.A.
Marvez has signed a three-year contract with Jack and plans to split her time between San Diego and Los Angeles, where she has a second job. In addition to playing radio host in San Diego, Marvez is in development to produce, write and star in a pilot for NBC that she insists will not interfere with her new radio assignment.
The pilot will be filmed this spring and is loosely based on Marvez’s life in Miami’s South Beach. Marvez said it’s a combination of “Sex and the City” and “Everybody Loves Raymond,” with a cast that includes a bunch of sassy girlfriends and a goofy father. The show’s working title is “Shore Thing” and could be shown on NBC as early as this fall, if the network likes the pilot.
“I wouldn’t say I was concerned, but I certainly had to take that into consideration,” said Johnson, who is Jack’s program director in addition to being the station’s general manager. “Without exception, the people I talked to said that Monique is happiest and at her best performancewise when she is doing several jobs at once.”
Game Plan
According to the most recent data available from New York-based media research engine Arbitron, Inc., between winter 2004 and this past summer, Jack has fallen from sixth to 12th place in the ratings game for the San Diego market. Fall numbers are expected this month, according to an Arbitron spokeswoman.
In order to aggressively compete with other morning shows and other forms of entertainment, Johnson said his marketing strategy for the “Monique & the Man” show is to be highly visible and active in the community with promotion events as soon as possible.
“We look at not just radio stations are as our competition but wherever people are getting their entertainment from, whether it’s radio or TV, iPods, the Internet … it doesn’t matter,” Johnson said. “Our priority right now is to get Monique very well established and we don’t know exactly how long that will take. But we know we need the morning show to take root before we even think about adding anyone else at a different time of day.”
Marks of KSON, which is owned by Greensboro, N.C.-based Jefferson-Pilot Communications, said that because KSON is one of two stations in town playing country music, his experience competing with Jack is limited. Yet all stations, regardless of format, have to watch out for one another to some extent.
“We do have a direct competitor,” Marks said. “We pay attention first and foremost to that, but we do understand that there are some listeners who are going to be interested in seeing what else is out there outside the country genre and for that reason have to include everyone when we’re thinking for the long term.

Different vegetarians adopt different practices. Pam & Jerry's thing is animal rights, so basically, they won't eat anything with a face. They eat the by-products of animals (dairy, etc.) - these products did not result in the death of an animal. He and Pam won't use leather products because they were the product of the death of an animal (they buy their shoes at Payless - no leather goods there, right Star Jones?)
Vegans are a whole different animal (sorry for the pun) - they won't eat any animal products or by-products at all.
I saw a production that Jerry did YEARS ago at the Lyceum Theatre called "Bless the Beasts". Ever since then, I will not eat any veal products, will not attend any horse races, and will only adopt my pets from shelters. Scary stuff. Left a major impact on me.
I wish had Pam & Jerry's resolve when it came to animal rights, but this gal loves her steak dinners! :naughty:

Yes, they are blurry. I think it was on purpose to hide Laura's hideous appearance. She's a mess. With those lashes, she looks like a washed-up lush - wait - that's exaclty what she is. She needs to realize that no amount of maintenance will change that sad fact. The only thing that will change it is if she changes herself on the inside, reevaluates her priorities, and becomes a better person. Then, her beauty on the outside will shine too. Right now, she's an empty shell. And why does she insist on constantly buying weird houses? What's up with the porno house with the secret pool? She's one of those people that thrive on chaos and drama....without it, she would have to actually be a wife and mother....that's boring.
As far as the lash extensions go - those things aren't cheap, and you have to do that fairly regularly, so this will be yet another thing that she can't afford and we'll read all about it in her diary. "Dear Diary: I really need a new pair of lash extensions - these ones are totally gone - I look like a normal person my age without them.......I wish we had some money so that I could buy them.....Dave and I are so broke." Maybe she should save some of that money and, I don't know.....maybe put it into a account for her children's college education or to pay for all the crap that children want in their teenage years?
There are a LOT Of mascaras that you can buy at a drugstore (I know, shutter the thought!) that will make your lashes look longer and fuller. Maybe if she got up a LITTLE earlier each day, she could use some of that magical mascara from the drugstore and wouldn't need to spend all this money on freaking extensions.

Oh come on....she's not going to have to pay for future extensions. Look at all the free advertising they got. You have to realize this is show-biz....and they don't pay for anything. :)

Do you HONESTLY believe that she's going to get free extensions in perpetuity? I have news for you - they're in show biz, but she ain't Sandra Bullock - so at some point, she's going to have to start shelling out for that ****.
It only reinforces the fact that she just can't leave herself alone....she's constantly on a quest for something better than what she has. From where I sit, if she would just live simply, her life looks pretty damn good. Stay home and take care of your freaking kids, lady.

Speaking of how much the showgram makes. Anyone wonder how well Rick has it these days? He was talking about a remodel of his kitchen at his house, which included granite countertops. He also mentioned his favorite clothing site is www.revolveclothing.com (http://www.revolveclothing.com) back when they did their top 5 favorite things. Has anyone looked at the price of clothes on that site??? You can find a red designer t-shirt for $92 here (http://www.revolveclothing.com/productpages/2BFR-MS2.jsp). Unbelievable! His closet must contain more money in clothing than most banks have on hand.

Awhile back he talked about how he bought his girlfriend an ipod and surprised her with a brand new car that has a built in ipod adapter for her birthday(or christmas). I would guess that Rick would be paid the least amount on the show, the only reason my guess isn't Randy is because Randy has been with them longer than Rick. What does his girlfriend do?
Sounds like they are all VERY well off, even whiny Laura.

my DH and I just put granite countertops in our kitchen - it was actually the ones from Granite Transformations that fit over your existing countertops so it was less expensive, but it's still a costly proposition, in general. A lot of the newer cars (at least the ones more oriented for the less than 40 year olds) come with some sort of iPod adapter build in - just went to the auto show and saw that.
I'm thinking that the rest of them (other than J&J) probably make in the high 100Ks or low 200Ks. I'm sure that Tommy is in the $300K range. It amazes me how when people start making more money, their perceptions change - a shirt for $92 may sound like a ton of money to us (I just got a BAGFUL of stuff from Kohls for $70!), but to them, it's nothing. The sad thing is that the radio biz is so transient, and when you're out of work, you're out for a while. Or you have to move to another city. I'd be socking that money away and not buying myself $95 shirts.

I work 2 jobs to keep my family afloat and am trying to scrape up money to buy enough "sticky tiles" to redo my kitchen floor. I felt guilty getting a manicure and pedicure with the $100 GC I got for Christmas from work instead of buying food or gas or something with it. Listening to Laura whine makes me want to throw up.

I think he bought her an SUV. Misty types the closed captioning for some of the national networks...I think CNN was one of them...so I'm sure she makes a pretty penny too.
Rick was also talking this morning about their place in the mountains, and his other truck that he uses when they are up there. I don't think they are too hard off.
This morining when they were talking about who has a million dollars in their account, I so wanted to call up and ask Jerry if he was one of them.

Kristen's updated diary exerpt>>>
1/16/06)
Okay, I know I haven't written in a month but it's a new year and one of my resolutions is to write in my diary on a regular (i.e. weekly) basis. To all you who are doubting me right now, you won't be laughing when I stick to my resolution! I may end up giving up on all my other resolutions, but I'm sticking to this one, darn it!
Alright, quick recap of the past 4 weeks...Christmas in TN was wonderful. New Year's Eve back in San Diego was great. Took the kids to Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm. Pilates is going well - it's so hard but so worth it.
Speaking of pilates, I'm trying to get "wedding dress arms". My goal is Cameron Diaz's arms but I believe I'll settle for a little toning and a tan. Good news though! I found the bridesmaid dresses in about 15-20 seconds. I knew I wanted chocolate brown as the color and I walked in a store and found exactly what I was looking for literally in a matter of seconds. Good thing, since I was beginning to fall behind with the wedding planning timeline : ) The very next day I found my wedding dress! We still need a videographer and musicians and there are a few other details that need to be attended to but we're getting there!
Before my next diary entry, our goal is to design and print the "save the date" cards. Until then...

Interesting how she doesn't mention Jeff's name once......is this about the wedding and moving to California, or is it true love? I hope it's the latter, but I have my doubts...........
I hope I get my "save the date" card soon - my social calendar is really starting to fill up!

For a lot of women I know it's about the wedding and not the guy.
One woman I work with said that she wanted to get married before a certain age and if the guy she was with didn't want to get married by then she would find someone who would.
How's that for true love.
Oh, and the guy proposed after she told him that. I feel bad for him.

Cadet Evon the grass really IS greenier over here at AJ's playhouse. I actually LIKE listening to them:happy: J&J are dunzo. The only reason to listen to them is to have stuff to post on here. But based on the activity here lately it seems as though everyone has given up on listening to them because as you so eloquently stated "they suh-ucked". :bash:
Ritchie why is it bad if a woman (or man) plans out her life and/or puts her foot down for what's important to Her? Reality is a woman's eggs have a shorter shelf life than a man's little swimmers. Look at Tony Randall! WTH! He was like a 100!! :eye:
Why do you feel bad for him? He wasn't forced into proposing, he was given the opportunity to move along, if he wasn't on the same page as she was. I was blessed when I met my husband he told me he was at the stage in his life that he was done dating for the sake of dating, that he was looking for a wife. It sounds like that's where your woman friend is at in her life.

What is a DH?
Can someone recap the babyfood scam story for me, sounded interesting, but I only caught the very tail end.
Thank you,
BecInCA

I did not hear the mention of "DH", but on computer blogs it usually means "dear husband."
The story about the grocery store scam went something like this:
Jerry stood in line at Vons behind a woman who was buying baby food. The total bill was for around $12. She told the clerk she didn't have enough money. Upon hearing this, Jerry gave her $20 to cover her bill. She then paid her bill, pocketed the change, and left without even thanking Jer.
Once he got into his car, he realized that he forgot to buy carrots for his bunnies, so he went back into the store. Once inside, he noticed that the same woman he gave the $20 to was at the service desk presumably getting a refund for the baby food purchase. He then went on to say that this could be a quite scam that this woman is running because she could be going to stores all over the place and pulling that same act.
Hope this answers your questions...

I had an experience years ago outside the Boll Weevil on Midway. There was a nicely dressed guy that came up to us and asked us for money so he could buy gas to get to L.A.. We gave him $5. We came out afterwards and there he was in the parking lot with a bottle of booze. My friend asked for his $5.00 back and told the guy he felt he was dishonest. I couldn't believe it, but the guy gave him the $5.00 back....which means he obviously had money on him. Another scame\. I cautioned my friend, that he should have not gone up to the guy again because he could have pulled a knife on him.

That was my point. What's important to her is getting married. It doesn't matter to who as long as she is married. Those eggs have a shelf life, as you put it, so she better find someone.
My point was that it isn't about the person, it's about getting married. I feel bad for the guy because once she has her kids, she will have no use for him. At that point there really is no reason to stay married because if she divorces him then he will still have to support the child.
When it was mentioned that in Kristin's diary she made no mention of the man she was getting married to, it made me think of this. I hope that isn't the case here.

Wow.....I don't even know how to respond... To be completely honest I have never met anyone like that, I have seen them on tv or movies but not real life.
I'm a mom (my screen name is not false advertising) I don't see how anyone could look at the father of their children as a sperm donor and not as the other half of your child. I take it you don't have children, because you would know that raising them takes a LOT more than a child support check. I'm so glad that my husband and I did it together (waking up in the middle of the night, daycare, dance, sports, school functions, friends, baths, bedtimes, meals, laundry...I could go on and on but I think you get it)
But I guess you hit the jackpot in friends and met a "Andrea Yates". If you truly don't think she loves him and is just out to have kids. Do her "future" kids a favor and talk them out of marriage.

Jeff had a vasectomy (2 times), so he can leave his you know what in his pants, or take it out - it doesn't really matter. However, he's got some of his "little guys" on ice in case he wanted to have more kids after he had the vasectomy.
Five kids by two wives is plenty for most people :wow: . Hopefully, he'll realize that (and hopefully Kristin will realize that even though he makes a TON of money, a lot of that money goes to his "last family".
Jeff seems to be someone who is addicted to "babies" (in more ways than one)....so, maybe the "little guys" will be defrosted after all.

Listening to the "showgram" this morning (don't have my XM radio with me today at work). Laura was complaining that her eyelash extensions were starting to fall out. Not surprised.....she got what she paid for.
Perhaps she should just do what the rest of the working world does and get some nice mascara at the drugstore (I'm sure Jer's wife could make a recommendation). Then, get up 2 minutes early to allow time to apply the mascara to her lashes.
Oh, Laura - don't be like the rest of the maniacs on the road and apply it while you're driving - I'm thinking that might not be very safe.

The best eyeliner I've found is Trucco Graphic Liquid Eyeliner in Licorice.
