OHMIGOD, I've never logged on here at night, but i've been worried sick, crying to my husband and friends... and now to find out this.

It makes me feel so foolish, this was my "first" connection like this online, and it was a hoax. I feel like some kind of dope, how will I tell my friends and family to stop praying?

I know this isn't about me, it's about us. But dangit! I felt compassion for a fellow pregnant lady!!!

I know how you feel SDChick..I also talked to my husband about this and us being a retired military family ..he found it strange that I was so involved with the situation..he finally understood. And now I feel so foolish that I will have to tell him it was a hoax.. I dread that he will say "told you so" but he will be understanding as he knows how I am when someone is in need.. just feel so used & taken advantage but they will not get the best of me.. Also, his goal weight is 185? Does anybody know how tall he is? My husband is 6'3 and weighs between 185 and 190. I'm 5'11 and weigh 125-130 on a non-pregnant day. I'm figuring FH to be 5'7 (which might be too generous)...so a 5'7 male would probably have to weigh around 150-160 to be in "normal" range. Is this correct? At his current weight, he has a BMI of 33 which puts him in the "severly overweight" range, and makes him a candidate for Gastric Bypass Surgery

We, the writers on this thread, are ALL third person. We orbit this Showgram as outside, objective, evaluators of what is "crap."

I am not Jake. I have a real life, a different name, and many things that are more "realistic" than this thread. BUT--- the ability to respond to this staion's "Theater of the Absurd" makes life a bit more enjoyable.

There were wedding pictures and a bunch of 3 kids. 2 boys that looked too old to be 4 and 2, and a baby girl that looked too young to be almost 2. A picture of a nursery.

I was never asked DIRECTLY for money but I was asked to consider setting up a fund to help cover the medical costs that insurance wasn't paying. THAT was the reason I posted the angry post this afternoon letting everyone know that if you were approached and asked...it was NOT coming from us.

HEY!! I never knew surfin_texan dissed those who claimed to know any of the J&J people on a personal level!!! I CLAIM to have known LBM on a personal level at one point in my life (12 years ago) does that mean she didn't respect me or give me any credit on this board???

Also, did she ever "retract" what she said about Amused? When Amused FIRST came on this board, we all had our doubts, I know. But I gave Amused a huge compliment stating that I totally admired her for being such a good mom in the midst of all the hell Tummy had given her...and she did PM me, telling me a few things in privte, which I've never shared. I knew right then and there Amused was legit.

For s_texan to say Amused made inconsistencies in her PMing and posts on the board makes me even more sick.

I had just come to check in on the status of "Sunnie". I'm floored. I've been a member of a couple of different forums when my girls were born and seen weird things go on, but never to this extent. There's a special place in hell for sick people like this.

While the whole hoax is just unbelievably despicable, I still have faith in the world just due to the love and compassion that came from the people from this forum. And I'm happy to have come out of lurkdom to hopefully post more often.

As a longtime poster on this forum, I had a feeling that there was something a little off in this story, but I'm a native NYer, and we are born skeptics. I don't believe that someone from the showgram is smart enough to pull this off - it would have taken a lot of work, and we ALL know they don't do that (it cuts into naptime).

While it's nice to get to know everyone, I think we should use this forum for it's intended purpose - it's the Jeff and Jer Drama Club - I propose that we keep the drama to that purpose. Continue the chat room if you want to continue the personal stuff, but our charter was to disect the daily trainwreck that is the Jeff and Jer showgram.

you know when I first saw the pictures I thought it a little strange that there were a few wedding pictures and a couple pictures of the kids and a picture of a nursery and that was it. I always complimented her on how she must be Supermom to have three kids under 5 and one on the way and she never really responded to that. And then either on the forum or in PM, I don't remember which, she said that she lives in a 7 bedroom house in Cardiff. On a Marine's salary??? I don't think so. It made me wonder about her a bit, but I have a big heart and trust easily and now I feel a bit violated.

One bad apple does not spoil the bunch. We are good people who did the right thing. Most of us would do it again, the same way.

We move on now. The hoax has been revealed. The truth is known. Somewhere, someone has had a very sick preemie baby who needed a few extra prayers and we gave them. Somewhere, there is a young mommy who is in need of an organ transplant...and we prayed for her.

It's been a long day. There were several of us behind the scenes...I am just the name that you know of. To my cohorts...especially the 2 who were on the phone with me at the same time today as we put together our various pieces to make the puzzle complete...you are amazing. You made it ok. My friends call me the Internet Queen and I have struck out. I googled the phone numbers and did reverse number lookup - no luck. I also did a zabasearch on Holly Davenport, Mike Davenport and Michael Davenport, no luck. If they existed, they would be in zabasearch, even if it was an old address. When I did a USA People search there is a Holly Ann Davenport who lived in San Diego, but when I cross checked Mike Davenport, there wasn't one that matched her towns.

This was one sick hoax. I hope the people who did have some remorse for this hoax. Somehow, I doubt that though.

This reminds me of a piece I saw on dateline where con-artists would go on adoption websites and say they had a baby for adoption, then they would pick parent out who would take they baby after the adoption...but while the con-artist was pregnant they would make the adopted parents pay for everything and then skip town right before the delivery....sickening....

I am sorry that this has happened. In fact, I stopped reading the boards because I was just too sad about this poor famliy's plight in the wake of the fires...it was too much. Id din't want to know the "bad news" if it indeed happened and mom or baby (or both) passed away. I just happened to check in this evening...and then this. Now that we are thinking back about everything - One thing that didn't seem right to me was that "Holly" was posting about the fire and her evacuations right up to the minute that she supposedly left her house. I thought that it was really strange that she was doing that. We didn't have to evacuate, but my husband and I had a plan and one of the first things that would have been packed were our computers. I found it odd that she was posting instead of packing. Even though I found it odd, at the time I rationalized it that people have their own ways of coping with stress and this was probably hers.

I think we need a new rule. If someone is evacuating, they probably won't be posting on the DC website.

Also, if anyone used Mozilla Firefox and viewed that album, before you go there from your history, go to "file", choose "work offline" and then go there from your history. You can then view what you looked at without firefox refreshing to the deleted photo album. I mistakenly refreshed the album before figuring that out. Pfft.

I too was duped by S_Texan because I felt sorry for their supposed plight. I prayed and shed tears for them as well. SDGirl, you have a heart of gold and keep being the way you are!
To be honest, S_Texan bothered me a lot before this whole "crisis" thing. I always wondered as well why someone would post a picture of their belly on here. What was her motive? Did she want attention? Those were some things that occurred to me. In addition, she also kept mentioning that she lived in Cardiff and recently bought 2 vehicles and sends her kid to private school. I thought, where would she get all that money with only her husband working....I also did not like one of her post when she frowned upon a supposed friend of theirs who fed fast food to her kids. Apparently, in her made up world, she is the perfect "mother". She just seemed fake to me after all these "lies" she kept feeding us. I even shared with my husband how irritated I was with her. But when she took her plotting to another level, all those things that bothered me about her dissipated and I felt nothing but sympathy for her and her "baby". Then my hubby pointed out several days ago that this might be a hoax. I thought about it and still wasn't completely convinced until now. I want her/him to know that whatever pain they caused many people, they will reap what they have sown.

Ok, here's words of wisdom from a Red Head in SD who teaches Reading (If you know what I mean)...

1) No prayer is ever wasted. All of those who were flooding the heavenly hotline with prayer and had our prayer cirles and prayer chains activated -- awesome! There are some people out there who have just been anonymously blessed with prayer from our wonderful DC board.

2) I believe all the Texs are one person -- a woman (since SD heard her voice), and that she is a sick person. just not sick the way we were led to believe. So, she needed our prayers, but just not in the way she said.

It was just way too odd that a husband and father of 5 kids who was rushed home from war to his wife lying on her deathbed would become so involved in a radio personality bashing website that his wife occasionally posted on. I can assure you that if something were to happen to me or my son, the very last thing my husband would do would be to chat it up with ANY of my online aquaintences. I kept waiting to see if he would say it is similar to he and Moochelle's story but suprisingly he didn't make it about himself. Wow that is a definite first!

Just getting caught up on the last day or so and shocked so much has taken place. From that last email, it sounds like it is really pissing off the other people that "Beth" gave out their phone numbers. I suggest calling from pay phones at all hours. They did *not* get any money, right?
I am real and sorry to say, so is my mom's situation. She is fighting to stay on, which is all we asked her to do and it is killing my dad. We have been on this roller coaster of hope and despair for so long now. Long story short, they took her off the ventilator yesterday morning, not expecting her to make it. She did great. She has been breathing on her own since 9:00 a.m. yesterday. However, she won't wake up. It is possible, the effects of the medications (which should have worn off by now ~ Verced (sp) and Morphine over the last few days), she could be in a coma or she could have suffered some brain damage prior to the intubation of the ventilator. And her kidneys are shutting down. And the hospital was to discharge her. It goes on and on and on. Out goal was to get her home to familiar surroundings for her last days/weeks/months. But we never thought about her being in a coma. Hospice doesn't support the tube feeding, so we have the option of starving her or paying home health care to come to the house to set her up with tube feeding. Every day gets worse and worse. My dad is on the verge of collapse. Sorry for the depressing news, but just wanted to check in and say I am, sadly, for real. If you are in doubt, she is at Saddleback ICU and the name is O'Brien.
Hope you catch those Texans! There are some incredible super sleuths on this board. I hold a real grudge if someone pulls a con on me, so I would love to get them :(

I'm just catching up on all the developments from last night. SDGirl87, you're obviously a very caring person and I'm really sorry you were swept up in this. My twins were born two months premature, and I have more knowledge than most about severe pregnancy complications and having babies in the NICU. Like so many of you I too was praying for the Tex Family and had asked members of my church to do the same, after reading SDGirl's explanation yesterday I got to thinking, what if we're all missing some huge piece of the puzzle and it wasn't a hoax? I'm a nurse and even though I haven't worked in a big hospital for a few years I know if we admitted a patient privately we weren't allowed to give up any information at all. I was never a part of the chat room so I don't know what else went on, but again that was just my 2 cents! ON TO IMPORTANT THINGS! I noticed that our dearest Tubby said he will be going up TP, ALONE. I've decided nothing is "real." Every word out of the the mouth of FH is a "bit." If he really needed "help" with a decision, and really listened to other people's opinions, do you think his life would be such an abject mess?

No. He makes every decision, by himself, for himself. Wife, mother, children, girlfriend....are all secondary considerations.

FH has a gravitational field and expects everything to orbit him. (I think this may be literal, as well as figurative) He also appears to have serious, external control issues. (And, a god-awful mugshot!)

There is no dilema. He'll do both and declare himself remarkable for having done so.

Hey, did I mention my co-joined, little, premmie, blind, daughters are having surgery today? After I drop my mom off at the Alzheimer Treatment Center, I have a quick chemo appointment and then serve lunch at Father Joe's. Then I'll be at Sharps waiting for the expected, 12-hour surgery on my dying, malnourished, adopted girls. I just hope it ends before my scheduled kidney transplant.


P.S. Did I mention my insurance has been cancelled? Donations would help.

Regarding that drawing: my son just turned six and I'm not sure that he could draw something so detailed. NO WAY could a three year old draw that- I've got one of those too- and very few almost-five year olds can draw that well, IMHO.

Dear Diary,

I'm a little bummed-out this morning. Although I haven't weighed myself in like 8 months, I think I may have dropped a few pounds. At least I thought I had until I tried on a pair of pants that were tight on me, especially around my waist, when I was in my last few weeks of rehab.

I tried those pants on this morning, and they are still as tight as they ever were. Dangit. I was hoping they would just slide off my waist and hips because I'm just wasting away. Nope. Oh well, I feel better about my body then I did five months ago. It might be the Bikram Yoga. It may be because my stomach and butt are tan, and therefore, look thinner. It's all smoke and mirrors.

I forgot to tell you a funny story about Evan from this weekend. We were at the Catamaran Hotel soaking in the "girl pool," or the "capoozi" as Ev calls it, when a bald-headed man stepped into the Jacuzzi with us. Evan looks the guy up and down and says, "Hey, you have no hair! What's your name?"

I look at the guy and mouth the words "I'm sorry." He just smiles and tells Evan that he shaves his head. Then she asked his name again. He then asked her name. She yells EVAN. What?, he says. EVAN. Say again. EVAN. I tell him that yes, he heard her correctly, her name is Evan, just like a boys name. Then she points to me and says, "That's my Momma, LAURA CAIN!" My little PR agent in the making. At that point, a group of teenagers get into the Jacuzzi and she starts flirting with the boys, who start flirting with her back. She is only 3 years old. Holy cow, do I have trouble coming or what?

Today after work I'm going shopping for my 73 Dollar Outfit of the week. I must find something especially cute because tomorrow The Jonas Brothers are coming in the studio AND Marvin Hamlisch AND a whole bunch of TV cameras, so a girl's gotta represent!

Hello All-I am finally coming out of "lurk mode". I signed up for a # right before the fires started and since we live in Ramona, life has been hectic. Our house survived- just some mess to clean up and in the grand scheme of the things, that is not too bad.

I have been lurking since Laura went into rehab. Substance abuse issues are something that I have dealt with in my family and in my professional career so I was very sensitive to how LBM and FH handled her return and her sobriety. LBM is headed for a relapse because she never even bought into the program. Most alcoholics are extremely self-centered people so the shoe fits in this case. Both LBM and FH have a complete disregard for the anonymity aspect of AA and NA. Oh wait, I forgot, they are "big deals" and don't have to play by the same rules as everyone else even though they have not bothered to think about respecting the anonymity of others. Anyway, that is what got me started on the D.C.

As far as the "tex family", I know we are dropping this because they do not deserve the time of day. I do want to share that the sad fact is that there are other people out there that do and have done the same thing. I once worked with a volunteer that would tell any and every lie in the book to receive attention. The sad part was that she was so good at it that you could not help but be sucked into it. It took a lot of us a while to figure her game out. She kept claiming she had reoccurrences of different types of cancer but her stories never added up in the end. The last time I saw her, she told me she now had brain cancer and was going to be dead in 1 month. She said she was having seizures and blackouts etc...She looked healthy to me and was actually at the grocery store with her 3 small children in tow. Mind you, she drove herself to the store (I know this because I walked her out to her car) Now, let's take brain cancer, seizures/blackouts and 1 month to live and who would be able to drive much less drive their kids around and risk their lives. A liar of course! This meeting was over 13 months ago and she logged into her mypsace account yesterday and has been seen, by others that know her and her sick game, around and about San Diego. She is a pathological liar- plain and simple. Moral to the story is that there are people out there that crave this type of attention. Some are malicious in that they eventually get to the part about needing money or tangible support. Others are just plain lonely. Either way, they do a huge disservice to humanity because I know that good and decent people that get wrapped up in these lies often become wary of anyone who claims to have significant problem/need assistance. It does become difficult to tell the good from the bad in people but that does not mean one should give up. Just keep your eyes and ears open for the truth is sometimes a few layers down, but it is there.

Sorry for the long post but I have been keeping this all in and just now found the time to let it all out!

Wednesday November 7, 2007 5:45am: THE FOLLOWING IS A TRUE LOVE STORY! He was in the most famous band in the world at the time. His home had fans in the front yard camped out calling his name all day and all night. If he went out in public, he would get mobbed. At times, he disguised himself just to go to a record store, he was that famous. The songs he wrote were enormous hits and some of them became classics, well ALL OF THEM became classics.

Paul McCartney was having a few beers at a local pub in London, lets say 1968. This place had famous musicians in all the time just watching and hanging out and the bouncer wouldn't let "crazy fans" in. In this place, you had to know somebody to get in OR you were somebody. Paul was having a few drinks with a couple of his "lads" and across the hall was a blonde woman having a few drinks herself. Her name was Linda. At that time, Linda was taking pictures of famous bands for a living. She was kind of known as a groupie as well. She took intimate pictures of MICK and the Stones, Jim Morrison, BB KING, and had relationships, even if it was just a one night stand at times. That's who she was. SHE was a rock fan, but knew all the big names. She caught Paul's eye that night. She slipped him her phone number. The next day Paul called her and from that day forward: Paul loved Linda and only Linda until the day she died!

After the Beatles broke up, it was LINDA who talked Paul into going to Scotland where there were no phones at this little farm and nothing else other than farm land. They called it Junior's Farm. When the whole world was mourning the break up of the Beatles, Paul was in a farm that had half a roof, a few horses, no phone, Linda, the kids, one guitar, and NATURE. Heather was Linda's kid, but the moment Paul loved Linda, he loved Heather as his own. In 1970, Paul went from screaming fans running after him all day long, to milking a cow and learning how to ride a horse which was Linda's passion. THEY learned about eachother and what LIFE was really about those first few weeks to months after the Beatles broke up. THEY BECAME SOULMATES!

In 1972….Paul went back to his passion. MUSIC!!!!!! He wanted to start a band, so he did. He had a few old buddies that he called to get going and they did. The guys in the band were mostly from the band the MOODY BLUES (the original line up)……They toured colleges in England and played old blues numbers and surprised kids with surprise concerts JUST TO LEARN their GROOVE before they REALLY went on tour. ONE THING that was different about Paul's band was the keyboard player. The keyboard player didn't know how to play and didn't know how to sing, but it was Paul's band and he called the shots and he wanted his wife to be there with him and be in the band and be to his right on stage, so HE HIRED LINDA to play keyboards and to sing. SHE WAS SO LOUSY and SO BAD that she had terrible nightmares and took a lot of ridicule and a lot of BS from fans and the band. BUT, Paul used his name and his power and always said, "that's my baby, she stays"……I used to be one of those fans that didn't understand it and didn't know why LINDA was in the band. As I look back at it now, I SMILE AND I GET IT NOW. That was his love and that was his baby and that was his woman and that was his wife and it is PAUL McCARTNEY and if he wanted his wife to sing bad and play bad in his band, then LET IT BE!

Years go by and they eventually become the biggest band out of the 70's and they have kids. THEY NEVER EVER SPEND TIME A PART, ONLY when Paul goes to jail for weed, are the only times they spend nights away! They adored eachother and they were ONE. They didn't even have a nanny or someone to watch the kids while they made the world MUSIC that became classics. They went on tour with the kids and never ever stopped loving eachother and Paul never ever looked at another woman the same way as he did for Linda. This was a love story like no other!

More years go by and Linda goes to the doctors. She comes back with devastating news that she had breast cancer. Paul stops what he's doing and drives home to be with his wife. The next few weeks to months, they learn all they can about breast cancer and what it means and what needs to happen. Paul has the resources to get the BEST and HE DID. It doesn't get better, but the love they had got stronger and stronger and deeper and deeper. The pain Linda was having carried over to Paul and the kids, but they as a family dealt with breast cancer and all that comes with it. She had Paul more than ever at this terrible time in their lives.

Paul decides to just make her life HAPPY and to make her SMILE and to do what she wanted to do and to see what she wanted to see. All she wanted to do was be with Paul and the kids and ride horses and go back to Tucson, Arizona! Paul made that happen.

Paul McCartney LOVED his wife Linda so very much. He lost the love of his life to breast cancer. Millions and millions of other people have lost their loved ones, their mom, their sister, their wife, their girlfriend, their daughter, their aunt, their soulmate to breast cancer as well.

Paul McCartney is my hero. Paul was my hero long before I understood what Linda meant to him. He became more of hero to me when I understood the love he had for Linda. I will never be the ROCK LEGEND Paul is, but I can be the man that he is or at least try to be. In my home, there isn't too many pictures on the walls at this time, but the one above the stairs that I see all the time is a picture of Paul and it's signed by Paul and his love of his life Linda!

GOD BLESS LINDA McCARTNEY and GOD BLESS THE MILLIONS OF OTHER PEOPLE that have left us because of breast cancer!

On 7/3 she said this: "in my line of work, I've dealt with many recovering addicts," then on 7/12 she said this "I'm a stay at home mom...I have 3 children under age 5". On 7/9 this: "On a side note...my neighbors are remodeling their kitchen, and today my kids and I were waiting in the front yard for my husband to get home from work when neighbor lady came over to show me the sample of the flooring they picked, and neighbor man walked over with a BARDON catalog. So, I filled them in on LC, and they've decided to go with another company." Like this would really happen??

Anyway, that is what got me started on the D.C.

As far as the "tex family", I know we are dropping this because they do not deserve the time of day. I do want to share that the sad fact is that there are other people out there that do and have done the same thing. I once worked with a volunteer that would tell any and every lie in the book to receive attention. The sad part was that she was so good at it that you could not help but be sucked into it. It took a lot of us a while to figure her game out. She kept claiming she had reoccurrences of different types of cancer but her stories never added up in the end. The last time I saw her, she told me she now had brain cancer and was going to be dead in 1 month. She said she was having seizures and blackouts etc...She looked healthy to me and was actually at the grocery store with her 3 small children in tow. Mind you, she drove herself to the store (I know this because I walked her out to her car) Now, let's take brain cancer, seizures/blackouts and 1 month to live and who would be able to drive much less drive their kids around and risk their lives. A liar of course! This meeting was over 13 months ago and she logged into her mypsace account yesterday and has been seen, by others that know her and her sick game, around and about San Diego. She is a pathological liar- plain and simple. Moral to the story is that there are people out there that crave this type of attention. Some are malicious in that they eventually get to the part about needing money or tangible support. Others are just plain lonely. Either way, they do a huge disservice to humanity because I know that good and decent people that get wrapped up in these lies often become wary of anyone who claims to have significant problem/need assistance. It does become difficult to tell the good from the bad in people but that does not mean one should give up. Just keep your eyes and ears open for the truth is sometimes a few layers down, but it is there.

I agree...I have met a lot of people who are pathological liars, they believe their lies and they sucker others into believing it as well...its sad and its sickening...I had a friend that lied so much that I can now point out pathological liars just based on my short friendship with her...Im very cautious of people but one thing is this...last night during chatting a lot of people (me included) were skeptical about everyone on here now...its easy to feel skeptical about people we don't know...but for 1 bad person there are a lot good people in this world...I guess I'm just realizing that we shouldn't be on our guards at all times...its an unfortunate situation, luckily nobody was hurt, nobody lost any money, and nothing serious happened....the good that came from this is that friendships formed, people went and donated blood, and we all learned that people aren't always who they claim to be....it could have been a lot worse....never loose faith in people....if you worry all the time about if somebody is real or fake you can miss out on great friendships....just my two cents worth

Three-year-olds should NEVER go in a Jacuzzi! They can overheat in the water much faster than an adult. There are most certainly signs posted at the Catamaran saying the minimum age is somewhere around 14 years old. What an idiot!!

I agree Mom2! Also, where were the boys while she had the little one in the jacuzzi?? She mentioned in another diary that they were with her, so who was watching them. I am assuming they were in the pool, but it sounds like LBM was too busy flirting to be watching them. I may be over-protective but they are too young to be unattended in the pool or anywhere else.

Not a bad thought.. we should always be careful & mindfull of what we say and to who... gosh can't life be like it was when we were young.. so much simpler and easy. and most of the time you could take people at their word because they word was their honor!

I totally understand your concern. I however, don't want to lose faith in everyone. I saw so much good in people. Pathetic _Tex was good for something. She brought a group of people together for a good cause. The outpouring I witnessed and was a part of was amazing.

I was reading back at some of Stupid-Texan's post. On 7/3 she said this: "in my line of work, I've dealt with many recovering addicts," then on 7/12 she said this "I'm a stay at home mom...I have 3 children under age 5". On 7/9 this: "On a side note...my neighbors are remodeling their kitchen, and today my kids and I were waiting in the front yard for my husband to get home from work when neighbor lady came over to show me the sample of the flooring they picked, and neighbor man walked over with a BARDON catalog. So, I filled them in on LC, and they've decided to go with another company." Like this would really happen??
Anyway, after looking at most of her posts there are alot of "holes" that we should have caught on to. She says her husband is deployed but a few weeks prior says she's waiting for him to come home at 1 am. So, ok, I am now officially OVER IT! I will move on. Back to "capping on" Jeff and Jerk and the rest of the Spewgram (except Delana, I like her)

Oh my Goodness! I totally remember that "Bardon Moment" Stupid_Texan did that day! I am so bummed my CSI-DramaClub brain didn't kick in with a red flag on that whole thing about her husband coming home from work!!!!!

Oh, and by the way, I can't go into ANY of the chatrooms, my work blocks them all! :( I'll be here forever, it seems, except those rare evenings I can log on at home.

People like this make me sick. They use the good intentions and well meaning of others and feed off of it. How much energy, time and sympathy was wasted just so someone could get their jollies. It's people like this that make the rest of us not want to trust when someone is really in need.
