Well we really shouldn't be that shocked to learn that there are fake posers out there who manufacture fantasy personal dramas and family stories to get attention, now should we???? In an amusing way, she chose just the right place to showcase her BS...maybe FH could help the poor Tex family out with a fantasy breaking and entering Christmas

if she/he was setting up a hoax for financial gain, why did he/she claim to live in a huge house in Cardiff. I venture that 99% of the population can't afford such luxury. Cardiff is an expensive place.

I can see the armed services angle, that certainly pulls at the heart...but a wealthy Cardiff resident that weighs 125 pounds and is 5'11", this part of the story doesn't seem like it would gain sympathy.

just my thoughts.

tommy still makes me ill. paul mccartney would not want anything to do with this toad.

I have walked the 3 day twice (2004 & 2006). I did not skip one step. I even slept in the tents & I am a princess. I have done the walks for my family & friends. Not for some celebrity that I do not even know (Linda), and not to get in shape (give me a break). Didn’t I read that FH’s sister has/had breast cancer?

FH has not trained enough; although he gets done more in one day then I can manage to do in a few days so maybe he has done several 15 mile walks that we just don’t know about. Yeah Right! He will be able to handle the hills; most people don’t train for that. But the 20 miles 3 days in a row is hard. So unless he has trained in ways we don’t know about, he will have blisters.

The first time I walked it I had no problems and even showed up for work Monday morning. The second time I did the walk I did not have a lot of time to train and I felt it!

My next issue is the fundraising. Oh boy, he reached $2200. Why couldn’t he use his BIG DEALNESS to raise some real funds? When I walked it I was able to raise my funds and then turned and helped my team members get their minimums. So I will give him the benefit of the doubt that he gave his funds to other members of the team. But, whats up with Barbara Lee? I think it showed she has raised less than $100. Their team has raised $75,000 but that is with almost 50 members. FH – why aren’t you using your BIG DEAL status for good?

To anyone out there walking this 3 day, I will be out there cheering you on. :wavey: Thank you, for walking. Have fun, enjoy the people that you meet, what a blast I have had doing the walks. I hope to do it again next year.

Sorry about all the "I's" - not trying to be like LBM.

Thanks for letting me rant. More on BLE in a bit.

What up, DC homies?

Well all I can say is Surfing Tex sorry you are a messed up human being and I hope you can get some help for your mental issues.

I feel I need to come clean and be truthful now. I really am a homeless crackhead. I utilize the public library's computers to join different forums and talk about the invisible elves who follow me around and keep moving the cardboard box I use for shelter. My friend Laura Cain gave me the heads up on this forum after I let her borrow my crack pipe. I don't know why I let her borrow it though because she gave it back and it was pretty damn nasty. I had to go bum a dollar off of some rich guy named Boris and buy some rubbing alcohol to clean that thing off. Do you know rubbing alcohol burns when you drink it? Anyways, now you all know the truth.

P.S. I have set up a paypal account and you can donate money to support my crack habit. My account is [email protected]

Thank you,
Sadx3

So far it seems: IamApes, RecoveringLstner, you and I are in on this concert so far. Let's see who else! I understand pre-sale tickets are on sale tomorrow? Is that correct? I can't bring myself to go to their website, maybe I'll try 93.3 website instead, see what they have for the event.

If you guys want to sit together I would be willing to buy all the tickets together and when I get them in the mail we could meet up at a Starbucks for a quick chat, and exchange tickets and money. I can't afford to not get paid back for them, I'm sorry! I have 4 kids and the money tree I planted seems to only give me leaves, dang thing!

Not sure if this has been posted yet or not

Wednesday November 7, 2007 5:45am: THE FOLLOWING IS A TRUE LOVE STORY! He was in the most famous band in the world at the time. His home had fans in the front yard camped out calling his name all day and all night. If he went out in public, he would get mobbed. At times, he disguised himself just to go to a record store, he was that famous. The songs he wrote were enormous hits and some of them became classics, well ALL OF THEM became classics.

Paul McCartney was having a few beers at a local pub in London, lets say 1968. This place had famous musicians in all the time just watching and hanging out and the bouncer wouldn't let "crazy fans" in. In this place, you had to know somebody to get in OR you were somebody. Paul was having a few drinks with a couple of his "lads" and across the hall was a blonde woman having a few drinks herself. Her name was Linda. At that time, Linda was taking pictures of famous bands for a living. She was kind of known as a groupie as well. She took intimate pictures of MICK and the Stones, Jim Morrison, BB KING, and had relationships, even if it was just a one night stand at times. That's who she was. SHE was a rock fan, but knew all the big names. She caught Paul's eye that night. She slipped him her phone number. The next day Paul called her and from that day forward: Paul loved Linda and only Linda until the day she died!

After the Beatles broke up, it was LINDA who talked Paul into going to Scotland where there were no phones at this little farm and nothing else other than farm land. They called it Junior's Farm. When the whole world was mourning the break up of the Beatles, Paul was in a farm that had half a roof, a few horses, no phone, Linda, the kids, one guitar, and NATURE. Heather was Linda's kid, but the moment Paul loved Linda, he loved Heather as his own. In 1970, Paul went from screaming fans running after him all day long, to milking a cow and learning how to ride a horse which was Linda's passion. THEY learned about eachother and what LIFE was really about those first few weeks to months after the Beatles broke up. THEY BECAME SOULMATES!

In 1972….Paul went back to his passion. MUSIC!!!!!! He wanted to start a band, so he did. He had a few old buddies that he called to get going and they did. The guys in the band were mostly from the band the MOODY BLUES (the original line up)……They toured colleges in England and played old blues numbers and surprised kids with surprise concerts JUST TO LEARN their GROOVE before they REALLY went on tour. ONE THING that was different about Paul's band was the keyboard player. The keyboard player didn't know how to play and didn't know how to sing, but it was Paul's band and he called the shots and he wanted his wife to be there with him and be in the band and be to his right on stage, so HE HIRED LINDA to play keyboards and to sing. SHE WAS SO LOUSY and SO BAD that she had terrible nightmares and took a lot of ridicule and a lot of BS from fans and the band. BUT, Paul used his name and his power and always said, "that's my baby, she stays"……I used to be one of those fans that didn't understand it and didn't know why LINDA was in the band. As I look back at it now, I SMILE AND I GET IT NOW. That was his love and that was his baby and that was his woman and that was his wife and it is PAUL McCARTNEY and if he wanted his wife to sing bad and play bad in his band, then LET IT BE!

Years go by and they eventually become the biggest band out of the 70's and they have kids. THEY NEVER EVER SPEND TIME A PART, ONLY when Paul goes to jail for weed, are the only times they spend nights away! They adored eachother and they were ONE. They didn't even have a nanny or someone to watch the kids while they made the world MUSIC that became classics. They went on tour with the kids and never ever stopped loving eachother and Paul never ever looked at another woman the same way as he did for Linda. This was a love story like no other!

More years go by and Linda goes to the doctors. She comes back with devastating news that she had breast cancer. Paul stops what he's doing and drives home to be with his wife. The next few weeks to months, they learn all they can about breast cancer and what it means and what needs to happen. Paul has the resources to get the BEST and HE DID. It doesn't get better, but the love they had got stronger and stronger and deeper and deeper. The pain Linda was having carried over to Paul and the kids, but they as a family dealt with breast cancer and all that comes with it. She had Paul more than ever at this terrible time in their lives.

Paul decides to just make her life HAPPY and to make her SMILE and to do what she wanted to do and to see what she wanted to see. All she wanted to do was be with Paul and the kids and ride horses and go back to Tucson, Arizona! Paul made that happen.

Paul McCartney LOVED his wife Linda so very much. He lost the love of his life to breast cancer. Millions and millions of other people have lost their loved ones, their mom, their sister, their wife, their girlfriend, their daughter, their aunt, their soulmate to breast cancer as well.

Paul McCartney is my hero. Paul was my hero long before I understood what Linda meant to him. He became more of hero to me when I understood the love he had for Linda. I will never be the ROCK LEGEND Paul is, but I can be the man that he is or at least try to be. In my home, there isn't too many pictures on the walls at this time, but the one above the stairs that I see all the time is a picture of Paul and it's signed by Paul and his love of his life Linda!

GOD BLESS LINDA McCARTNEY and GOD BLESS THE MILLIONS OF OTHER PEOPLE that have left us because of breast cancer!

Anyone else kinda creeped out by his stalkative love for the McCartney family? Its so weird.....we get it you really Like Paul McCartney but please stop referencing him anytime you can....

:puke: What is the point with this drivel. Yes, I'm creeped out by this.... Oh, by the way...Paul and Linda were vegetarians and ate very healthy foods. I'll bet FH could never emulate that part of Paul's life. As if he emulates ANY part of Paul's life.

I totally understand your concern. I however, don't want to lose faith in everyone. I saw so much good in people. Pathetic _Tex was good for something. She brought a group of people together for a good cause. The outpouring I witnessed and was a part of was amazing.

I agree. I am actually glad someone from this board isn't dying. She annoyed me with all her bragging (skinny, big house, etc..) but I forgot about all that when I thought she was ill. But, this is good, it brought a lot of us together. I enjoyed chatting the other night with a lot of you.

I just went to their "presale" site-it started TODAY, not tomorrow as I'd originally thought! Their code word is INSIDER, and they're only pre-selling Terrace level seats, $67.50...very nosebleedy if you know what I mean.

I don't want to pay the $92.50, but what else can we do? I saw JingleBall there a few years ago, and wound up watching Switchfoot and Train on their jumbotron the whole time.

I'm absolutely willing to meet everyone at Starbucks beforehand, and wow, that is VERY nice (and trusting-considering all that's happened!) of you to offer. I just wish they'd sell better seats NOW!!!

If thinkin it would make it so....

FH is one of those who wishes he was what he is not.

He's no musician. He wishes he was.
He's no singer. He's proven that time and time again, and is not shy about doing that. He can't maintain a relationship of any value, he destroys or ruins everything and everyone he comes close to. Until they break away and distance themselves from him (for you, Amused). And, as Amused listed just recently above, he has no manners, etc. etc. and he has no interest in gaining them. All he is focused on is surrounding himself with what he believes are all the trappings that will make him what he wishes he was inside.

All those things he wishes were true...he looks at other people's lives and wishes their lives were his, with no work or effort on his part, of course, he should just be gifted it.

And look, the whole Surftex bidness, it wasn't like she/it had anything entertaining to say, anyway. good riddance, we need her like we need needles in our haystacks.

Wow, I wonder if FH read this......

NEW YORK - Paul McCartney, who is in the midst of a bitter divorce from his second wife, has been photographed kissing another woman in the Hamptons.

The encounter between McCartney, 65, and Nancy Shevell, 47, a member of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority board, was last weekend, according to The Sun of London, which published the pictures.

Shevell, estranged wife of prominent Nassau County lawyer Bruce A. Blakeman, has a home in the Long Island resort, as does the former Beatle.

She was appointed to the MTA board by then-Gov. George E. Pataki in 2001.

Shevell is also a vice president of New England Motor Freight Inc., a New Jersey firm run by her father, Mike Shevell. In 1988, federal officials charged in court papers that Shevell's company was linked to Genovese crime family soldier Anthony "Tony Pro" Provenzano.

Provenzano, a former Teamsters leader, has been identified as a prime suspect in the 1975 disappearance of ex-Teamsters boss Jimmy Hoffa. The case against Shevell was settled with no admission of wrongdoing by Mike Shevell, according to a report in the Village Voice.

The Sun said McCartney and Shevell were spotted at a sushi restaurant in Amagansett and at an outdoor cafe.

In one photo published by the British tabloid, the couple are seen sitting in the front seat of a car, with McCartney embracing Shevell. In another, they are walking along a breezy shoreline, wearing jackets, their hands in their pockets and their heads lowered.

McCartney spokesman Paul Freundlich said the rock 'n' roll Hall of Famer would say nothing about the reports. "We don't comment, as a policy, on private or business affairs," Freundlich said.

A phone number listed for Shevell on Long Island was disconnected, and Blakeman couldn't immediately be reached for comment.

McCartney is divorcing Heather Mills McCartney.

His first wife, Linda, died of breast cancer in 1998.

Wow, what an IDIOT I must have looked like back then! Remember when it was called "mods" and not "goth?" That was me. I had the jet black/blue-blac dyed hair, the high bangs, straight everywhere else 'do, tons of eyeliner.

It wasn't until 1989 that I ditched all that for my killer spiral perm. How I WISH that spiral perm could come back in style! I had the best prom pictures with that hair!!!!

On the first day of the 3 day walk last year, I was sitting at lunch in the La Jolla area resting my feet. Up walks BLE and her TV crew. They start filming and she is talking about the walk so far. (Now mind you we had maybe done 10 miles or so by this point.)

She says that she already has blisters forming blah, blah, blah. How she has to find time to get to the stops and post her blog and do the TV spots etc. I never saw her again. Not that I would, but it’s not hard to spot the TV crews. I saw plenty of others.

I do not know BLE and she might be doing the walks for a really good reason. I have not read her training blogs and did not last year.

I could be totally off base with this but it bothered me that the TV says that they are following someone that is doing the walk and from my perspective it did not seem like that. Maybe, someone that saw the TV coverage live can comment on this.

I was bothered by it last year and more bothered now that FH is involved with her.

So that's my story.

Turns out one of us elves was not actually an Elf but and invisible troll. It was kind of obvious in hindsight (he being actually 3 times bigger and smellier than us elves), but we just shrugged it off and bought his story that he had some hormonal imbalance and accepted it as one of our own.

We kicked it him put last night when he tried to eat Elf#9 after getting him drunk on cheap alcohol. So it's just 24 of us now.

The important thing for us elves is to stay together and resist the temptation of disbanding. Maybe that was the troll's intention? Plant suspicions within our group so our elf community would disappear?

Anyway, we're moving on and back to hiding keys and smoking slowly increasing portions of Sadx3's special hidden herbs.

oh, and keeping an eye on SDgirl87 who has to stop blushing and giggling every time she hears/read the name Jake...(is it a normal custom to keep a Ken doll with Jake written across the chest by her computer and throw kisses at it occasionally?)

Re The Texans. I must say I fell for it. Hook, line and sinker. I'm stunned, but not particularly angry. I prayed really hard for some fictional characters ... so what? Our prayers were not wasted.

I'm not sure I'd do anything differently. There were some red flags that I brushed off ... maybe I'd pay more attention to my gut feelings on those kinds of things if I had to do it over.

As I was reading the news this morning, I would glance over at my sleeping hero and remind myself that what he and I have is real. Pity the poor soul who has to make their lives up (FH, LBM, SurfinTexan). How sad must their existence be?

Onward, Critical soldiers! We have work to do here. Pick apart Blubber-Boy's Blobby-Blob and Whora's Dreary Entry, and make each other laugh. Let's get to it!

I had the most radical spiral perm for my 1989 wedding pictures. My daughter thinks they are hilarious!

OMG. I used to love Duran Duran. I had a huge crush on John Taylor. I had this big Duran Duran button that my mom found at the swap meet that I proudly put on my purple jelly purse, which of course coordinated with my purple jelly shoes. Yup, I was stylin' back in 5th grade.

I loved them too! I was going to marry Nick. I was in high school though - LOL!

So, I did some sleuthing and on the County Court wesbite, you can get a list of the judges and who their clerks and reporters are. I did some checking and the only Judge Clarke (who FH said Mooch works for) listed is a juvenile court judge. However, Mooch is not listed as his court reporter. (It is blank).

http://www.sdcourt.ca.gov/portal/page?_pageid=55,1056977&_dad=portal&_schema=PORTAL

I checked all of the other department's listings and she is not listed as the designated reporter for any judge. I am guessing she is a "floater" and just fills in when there is a need, which would explain why she has so much free time on her hands. She is indeed a certified court reporter. Her licensing information is available online.

http://www2.dca.ca.gov/pls/wllpub/WLLQRYNA$LCEV2.QueryView?P_LICENSE_NUMBER=12508&P_LTE_ID=841

Also interesting to note, the address given for Judge Clarke's department is the juvenile court, which according to mapquest, is located in the Kearny Mesa area (and not downtown as FH has said). Though, her license information does give the downtown courthouse address.

I work in a law office and Mooch strikes me as one of those types who became a court reporter just so she could try and meet some rich lawyer who could be her sugar daddy. (I'm not saying all court reporters are like this, but there are some.) At the last firm I worked at we very briefly had a receptionist who was the same way. She had a young child and had just filed for divorce when she started working there. She flirted with all of the male attorneys, even the married ones, and was rude to and gave the evil eye to any young female attorneys in the office because she saw them as a threat. She didn't last long.

I, for one, miss the days of old when I would lurk on this board to become one with others of great minds whom had pegged the shamgram for what it was... a lousy excuse for entertainment by a group of frauds. I finally became a member of this board to share my personal experiences with fat head; however, at that time drama of a different sort had taken over this board and what I had to contribute seemed so unimportant in the grand scheme of things. I hope to see the purpose of this board turn back into what it was intended to be at its inception. So in that spirit, let us not give any more attention to those who are seeking it for their own sick satisfaction. Let's take control once again and make this board what it was when we all joined. FUN!!!

I think someone posted earlier that it has been rescheduled to December. I could not find that information on the court website.

On that note, I also saw on the court website the following regarding filing for divorce:

"To file for a divorce you or your spouse (Family Code section 2320) must have lived in the state of California for the last six months, and in the county where you file for the last three months. If you do not meet these residency requirements you may still file for a legal separation."

That may be why DC initially filed for separation; LBM had been gone from the county for 100 days, so he couldn't file for divorce right away.

Laura's Diary - November 7th, 2007
Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at 11:36am

Dear Diary,

I'm a little bummed-out this morning. Although I haven't weighed myself in like 8 months, I think I may have dropped a few pounds. At least I thought I had until I tried on a pair of pants that were tight on me, especially around my waist, when I was in my last few weeks of rehab.

I tried those pants on this morning, and they are still as tight as they ever were. Dangit. I was hoping they would just slide off my waist and hips because I'm just wasting away. Nope. Oh well, I feel better about my body then I did five months ago. It might be the Bikram Yoga. It may be because my stomach and butt are tan, and therefore, look thinner. It's all smoke and mirrors.

I forgot to tell you a funny story about Evan from this weekend. We were at the Catamaran Hotel soaking in the "girl pool," or the "capoozi" as Ev calls it, when a bald-headed man stepped into the Jacuzzi with us. Evan looks the guy up and down and says, "Hey, you have no hair! What's your name?"

I look at the guy and mouth the words "I'm sorry." He just smiles and tells Evan that he shaves his head. Then she asked his name again. He then asked her name. She yells EVAN. What?, he says. EVAN. Say again. EVAN. I tell him that yes, he heard her correctly, her name is Evan, just like a boys name. Then she points to me and says, "That's my Momma, LAURA CAIN!" My little PR agent in the making. At that point, a group of teenagers get into the Jacuzzi and she starts flirting with the boys, who start flirting with her back. She is only 3 years old. Holy cow, do I have trouble coming or what?

Today after work I'm going shopping for my 73 Dollar Outfit of the week. I must find something especially cute because tomorrow The Jonas Brothers are coming in the studio AND Marvin Hamlisch AND a whole bunch of TV cameras, so a girl's gotta represent!

See you tomorrow, Diary.

What an IDIOT!

I love kids.

I hate parents that bring their kids into the jacuzzi. They are intended for adults, and not safe for children. I especially hate it when I'm on vacation, and paying good money at a nice hotel, in the hopes of getting a little relaxation.

lOL YES....

And I also remember my favorite jacket was my mom's...it was a jean jacket...half white the other half a light blue jean color and she had a matching skirt to match the jacket, sadly enough the skirt would not fit me, heck the jacket was two or three sizes too big for me, but I loved that jacket....hahaha....

does anyone remember the crimper where you could imprint shapes on your hair? I had the heart shape...i always felt so hardcore to have the heart in the middle of my crimped hair...hhahaha

I tried reading Laura's Diary today but all I saw was, "blah, blah, blah, blah, blah......"

I rubbed my eyes in disbelief and tried again, but again it read, "blah, blah, blah....."

Then, I tuned on the radio to Star 94.1 to try to listen to the Spewgram's ending, and yet again I heard, "blah, blah, blah...."

I changed stations to make sure that my ears were not playing tricks on me, but I could hear all others stations just fine.

I, once again, tuned it to Star 94.1 but heard only, "blah, blah, blah...."

So, I have come to the conclusion that my brain is trying to defend itself from the stupidity.

What do you think?

OMG, I finally caught up. I've been housesitting and didn't really have internet access for the past few days. I'm not really surprised by this SurfingLoser thing. It seemed so interesting that she was going through all of this during the fires and how she felt the need to fly her kids out of San Diego right before all of this started. However, when she started saying that her husband was coming home because of the fires and because of her contractions, I stopped listening. LOTS of moms give birth while their husbands are overseas and those daddies aren't rushed home. My cousin will probably go through this in February. It's a fact of military life unfortunately.

When he got home and started posting on here, I thought it was really strange. My husband would not be interested in posting on here if my life was in danger. No offense :) If he did, it would be factual postings, not sappy, "my beautiful wife is unconscious and fighting for her life..." Of course, my husband is a man of few words, so maybe all guys wouldn't be to the point like mine would be.

My biggest problem with all of this is that her situation kept getting more and more dramatic. She went in for some contractions and all of this happened? I used to work at UCSD labor and delivery and I can guarentee you that if the mother's life was in danger like they claimed Sunnie's was, they would have NEVER let it get to that point. They would have delivered the baby and taking care of the mother's health. "Elenor" was far enough along that she had a great chance of survival, so letting the mom get more and more sick would be pointless. Also, if the baby was as early as Elenor was, they wouldn't be suggesting donor breast milk as one post indicated.

Anyways, I just had to get all of that off of my chest.

On a different (kind of) note, thank you for bringing up blood donation and also for mentioning becoming an organ donor. I work with in this line of work and it is so important to consider becoming a donor. However, checking the box on your drivers license is not enough. At least where I live, a simple "D" on the license shows intent to donate, but signing up on the first person registry gives actual first person consent. I'm not sure how it works in California, or if there is a first person registry. Either way, it is very important to discuss this issue with your family, whether you want to be a donor or not. If first person consent is not an option in CA, your family gets the final choice. Make sure your wishes are honored and donate life.

Boo to the Tex family. YAY to SDGIRL87 You are wonderful! We were all taken in.

I dont know much about the military so I thought that it could be standard to send a husband home if the conditions of delivering a baby were serious, like this had claimed to be...

what i found to be unusual was how her brother who was stationed somewhere was also able to come home for the ordeal...I was a little caught off guard by that....but again I dont have any military family so I thought it could be normal....oh well...

It's so hard to believe that the moment has finally arrived for Little

individual in my life. You have worked so hard to prepare for these
most important 3 days and you are making a difference for everyone
affected by this insidious disease. God bless you and all the
participants walking this weekend!

Will you walk with me on December 2nd at 8:00am at Balboa park? It's
only 3 miles and it's wonderful for everyone! My goal for my team
"Music for Mattie" was to get one thousand people signed up and
walking. So far I have 81 people do you think I can reach my goal? For
me this is all about VICTORY, LOVE, and HEALING POWERS of the masses
joining together and celebrating!

-Grew up in RSF
-Lived in a multi-bedroom house in Cardiff
-5'11" and 125 lbs
-Bought two new cars at once
-Had a ton of small kids and could still leap a tall building in a single bound while pregnant
-Didn't let her kids watch the news, eat fast food and was critical of her hubby's work friends ways of childrearing (does anyone still use that word?)

On another note.......I noticed Amused is back.....and she seems ticked off. Wonder if our favorite dumba$$ did something.

I have a rhetorical question. Can "Rhetorical" be the word of the day sometime?

What kind of Mother would have a 10 yr old kid call a bail bondsman. What, when she finds out several of her spawn are in the hoosegow (another word of the day nomination) she can't put down her beercan or quit at the slot machine long enough to dial the dude her ownself?

Oh, I know, I know! The kind of mother that would let her kid call the bail bondsman is the same kind of mother that would let her 3-year-old daughter tell her name to strangers in the hotel jacuzzi. IDIOT!

At the time she said she was having him sent home, it was just because of contractions/pre-term labor and the concern of an evacuation. Does anyone know if her area was really evacuated? She told me over a PM that her bedrest was due to her concern for preterm labor. Getting him sent home for that, and it all happened so fast... it just didn't make sense to me. People go through a lot worse without their husbands all of the time. Oh well, I guess we all know the truth now.

I wanted to mention to you that I read an article about the family you lived next to who lost their daughter in the Cedar fire. Did you see that article in the Union Tribune?

lOL YES....

does anyone remember the crimper where you could imprint shapes on your hair? I had the heart shape...i always felt so hardcore to have the heart in the middle of my crimped hair...hhahaha

How can I be jealous even now? I wanted the shapes so badly but only had the crimper with the plates that switched from flat, to crimp to the larger wave. The smell of singed (sp?) hair brings me back to those days. :)

Chatzy room is back up, new password. Please PM 11thReader or DreamerGal if you would like it.

Please be aware: If you are a newbie, recently added in the last few days, you aren't going to get the keys...we've had kind of a rough week, so to speak (sorry, had to do it).

So what's the cut off to be considered worthy of chat room access? I've PM'ed the right people but no info yet. Guess I'm not worthy

Hi, Red.

I wanted to mention to you that I read an article about the family you lived next to who lost their daughter in the Cedar fire. Did you see that article in the Union Tribune?

That was a wonderful article, but I think the one I saw was in NCTimes. We don't live next to them (I'm so paranoid about misleading anyone after what we've gone through!!!) We are friends of the family and also had to drive out of that area during the fire -- but not right near them.

Speaking of full disclosure, I think those of us waiting for a love connection between SDgirl and Jake better take a step back. What if we find out that Jake is really a 12-year-old girl and that SDGirl is a pygmy from a remote Amazonian tribe? In fact, what if the membership of this board is just made up of me and Dilbert who has signed in under 159 fake names?????

Finally -- this morning when I listened to J/J (minus one J, plus several jacka$$es) I couldn't believe they were still going on and on about that Christmas tree/concert drama they pretend exists. Can you even IMAGINE a single soul in San Diego going down to the Old Globe because they wanted to see XXXL? As if anyone gives a hoot if that fat freak is there. How conceited is that fat pig? "Wow, I have concert tickets but I can't let the people of San Diego down -- they count on me to get Christmas started for them."

I am going to talk to my pastor tomorrow. Perhaps he can talk FH to pose as the infant Jesus in our parish creche.

Now finally for real this time -- I miss the 80s clothes, hair, music, best decade ever and I am stuck there!

Thanks iamsheens. PM sent and waiting for a reply.

Probably a good thing I did not have access today. Unlike the past two days, I was back in my home office - with way too much drama going on all around. I was definately longing for the past two days that I spent darn near all by myself in a tiny trailer, with wireless internet ;)

OK STAR drives me nuts. I never listen to them except when 101.5 goes to commercials. I switched over to STAR at 10:02, and STAR was playing "Hey There Delilah." I turned to them at some point between 2 and 3, and they were playing "Hey There Delilah." Then, I just turned to it at 5:15... guess what they were playing? HEY THERE DELILAH! This has happened to me other days, but it was weird that it was every time today. Can we get a little variety??!!

I used to think that song was kind of cute, but now it drives me nuts.

If a military member is deployed and a spouse has complications, then through the doctor, a red Cross message is generated and it is up to the commander whether or not the servicemember can return home on emergency leave. So, yes it is possible with medical complications.

I too was "duped" and a believer in the tex saga, but whatever the outcome was, knowledge was gained by all on how to give blodd and organ doner info passed too. It all pissed me off. Whomever was responsible will have KARMA. You can bet on that as it always catches up with you.

Kinda funny how nothing has been passed from the "other side" on this. The IM's and all should be put on this board so we all can read it.

I give him until the 2nd morning, around brunch time. I think he'll do the first day, no matter how hard, to save face. Then he will suddenly be injured.

It intrigues me that he hasn't done a full 20 miles in one day. My best friend's mother did the 3-day, with the training schedule beforehand, and more than a month before they were doing 20 miles per day.

About 80's styles... I LOVED having my hair crimped, but it took so long to do it!

This isn't really 80's, more early 90's... anyone used to wear a Hypercolor shirt? I wanted one, but they were far too expensive. Where were they even sold?

I did have LA Gear high-tops, though, that were white until you went into the sun, then they turned lilac. I thought I was the most awesome person alive when I had those in middle school.

I meant to sign up awhile back and tell the DC I went to a Research Study put on by Star 94.1.
Basically just asked about the Dj's in general and what type of music would be played. Everyone in the room agreed they played the SAME music over and over. Jimmy Steele was there and a couple of the "other suits".
They did ask about Jeff and Jer and the room as a whole still liked them. Funny thing- everyone also agreed that LAURA BUGGED them and she could go.
Tommy still had the people in that room fooled, they seemed to like him.

Thought of you all the whole time I was there. If they only knew...

I listened to the show for all of 5 minutes this morning and they were all talking about the top 5 foods they eat when they are being "bad". Everyone else had the usual stuff like chips...Randy said a Mounds bar, when Laura said "real Coke" I almost spit coffee. Anyway she proceeded to say with crushed ice (yeah that made it better!) but you get the drift. Anyway, FH says Ultimate Cheeseburger, lumpia, Two beef taco combination plate from ANY Mexican food restaurant, and his #1 was a Big Mac. (And I am missing one of his items, sorry!) Hypercolor shirts were cool...but really only for the first time you saw them.

They'd change color with heat so when you'd see someone wearing it, you'd want to try it out and you'd grab the t-shirt and ball it up in your hand. The wearer, after numerous incidents of this happening, would end up with an oddly wrinkled shirt. Not to mention that if he or she were extra sweaty, it would show up as well.

It was a novelty item, much like Clear Pepsi.

Last month I slipped and used the dreaded phrase "banana clip" in front of my hair stylist and she nearly beat me over the head! She made me promise that I would never, NEVER purchase another "one of those monstrosities" and put it in my hair.

I was warned!

So, let me guess....you've graduated to wearing a roach clip with ribbons and feathers dangling as your hair ornament of choice. (Damn, those were ugly)

I'm a "teen of the 80's" and was trying to remember what the hypercolor shirts were. In case any of you were in my boat, here a pic of one:

http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t126/alohagirl2000/hypercolor.jpg

Okay, mamasterls...you must now leave the DC board for good. Your offense? You have that shirt hanging in yer closet and you still wear it to this day to places like Kobey's Swap Meet and car wash fundraisers. We all know it's true, that shot of the white plastic hanger says it all.

They didn't even have a nanny or someone to watch the kids while they made the world MUSIC that became classics.

When I read FH's quote from today's blahg, I remembered that Mooch has a nanny. So, that ends the Linda/Mooch comparison. Better look for another 'hole' to 'poke', FH. One w/o a nanny, if you want to emulate the Linda/Paul style, IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. Idiot. Idiot!

*gagging at that visual*
Please tell me they don't really do that. *gags a little more*

SDgirl insisted on us wearing clothes, with underwear on the outside to ensure no more commando shenanigans. She has a very strict and boring no nakedness policy.
(don't know if she would be as strict with Jake, though)

Jake is not "bored" with nakedness, nor "commando" policies.

"Strict" is merely a stratifying concept.

Am I the only person who thinks something still doesn't add up with the TexFamScam thing?

Do any of the 80's bunch here remember banana clips?

I think there was a lot that happened in chat, IM, and pm's that we were not privy to, so we don't have the full story.

If you skim the posts though, it seems odd that hubby was deployed with no real fanfare, then on his way home before anything had reached critical?

It's certainly possible that hacking was involved, but that wouldn't explain some of the events involving empty hospital rooms, and missed meetings?

Hospitals do have to protect patient privacy, but if you call, or show up looking for someone by name they either connect the call or wave you through.

Just horribly painful memories:

*Overly bright, shiny "Dynasty" style blouses with shoulder pads (for work or evening).

* Izod polo t-shirts. Yuck, especially the cheap knock-offs

* Turtle-neck t-shirts with tiny hearts all over them.

* Floral dresses with a gigantic bow on the hip (so help me, those are the reason I need glasses to this day)

* Giant, pink "button" earrings

* Bubble-gum, neon pink lipgloss

* Ponytail straight on top of my head (bangs, of course)

* Acid washed jeans that had pink and turqoise in them.

* High tops with skirts (ala "Moonlighting")

* Aerobics (Jane Fonda, Cher!)

* Trying to look exactly like Olivia Newton John

* Using blue eye pencil to line the inner lids of our eyes like Princess Diana.

* Horrid Songs:
"Abra Dabracadabra, I wanna reach out and grab ya"
"Double Dutch Bus
"Celebrate Good Times" (ICKKKK!!!)
"Whip it"

Guilty Pleasure Songs/Artists:
"It's Raining Men"
"Holdin' Out for a Hero"
"Total Eclipse of the Heart"
"What would you think, I would give at this moment?...If I could just hold you again..."
"Careless Whisper"
"Walkin' on Sunshine"
"We are the World"
*Debbie Gibson
*Huey Lewis and the News
*Kenny Rogers
*Dolly Parton
*Whitney Houston
*Amy Grant

*Horrid Movies:
"Summer Lovers"
"The Pirate Movie" (Christy McNichol)

Maybe it was based on a tiny truth and spiraled into a big fat massive lie? Fatter than FH!! Maybe whoever surfer tex was/is really left and somebody they know hacked the account and they don't know it? That doesn't seem likely but I just can't help feeling like something doesn't add up! I was never part of the chat room club so you guys know more than me! Just my 2 cents

I think FH will have better luck completing the 20 miles if he rolls the whole way. All that padding!

Trust me when I say that extensive research has been done into this scam. There is not one shred of evidence to support ANY of the stories we were being told. NOT ONE. The most compelling for me is that there is not now, nor has there been anyone at any of the 4 hospitals mentioned within the last 3 weeks that fit the descriptions we were given. This information is reliable and accurate. It simply does not exist. There is plenty more but I frankly am weary of telling the same story over and over. It was all one enormous hoax. The Chat Room got a ton of new information last night that floored them as well...so no, most of this was not discussed in the chat room. In fact, no one in the chat room except the 3 of us who were investigating this actively knew anything about it until it broke on the board.

"SDgirl insisted on us wearing clothes, with underwear on the outside to ensure no more commando shenanigans. She has a very strict and boring no nakedness policy.
(don't know if she would be as strict with Jake, though)"

As for the nakedness policy. While I may have a strict and boring policy in some instances, in others, the opposite is true. Seeing Elf #9 in all of his glory was just too distracting while I was on stake out.

As for banana clips, I still own and wear them :) They just look better on me than regular pony tails...lol. I'm so ashamed.

Wore the jello shoes and loved 'em. Did not wear the superbright shirts, but had the big hair and leg warmers. Of course, had buttons for every occasion, and yes, even had suspenders!!

FH's most recent post...

Thursday November 8, 2007 2:45am
Thursday, November 8, 2007 at 8:57am

Thursday November 8, 2007 2:45am: Is it Friday yet? I must be really excited and nervous about the 3 Day Walk for Breast Cancer that kicks off tomorrow morning. How incredible it is to say it's TOMORROW.

Michelle and I went shopping for our STUFF to pack. We went to Target in Poway to get all the little soaps and bars and misc. little stuff to have when we're in TENT CITY Friday and Saturday night. When you look at the stuff, it looks as if we packed for a month safari in northern Africa. We are prepared for sunshine, rain, and anything else that comes our way over the weekend. I'm sure all the little shampoos and stuff that we got will not be used, but then again, who knows what's in store for us over the weekend.

In my mind, I am mentally prepared. Physically, I'm as ready as can be. Yes, I am nervous, but I know I can do it on passion and adrenaline and ego alone. The "cause" and the "real reason" why we are all gathering tomorrow to walk can excite and prepare anyone for the 60 miles in 3 days JUST ON will power alone.

The walk and the weekend is NOT about how I prepared all year long to do this. If I went in to this weekend thinking that this walk is a personal triumph because I CAN walk and hike better than ever in my life, then I didn't get the true message to why we are doing this.

This walk is about the millions of people MOSTLY WOMEN who have had or has breast cancer. This is to salute them! This is to remember them! This is to raise money so walks like these don't have to happen ever again.

Last month, I went to a seminar or open house at the cancer facility at UCSD. That was the weekend I finally GOT what this is all about. Research is finding out things by the minute and if you're a survivor NOW, it is way different from being a survivor many years ago and HOPEFULLY a survivor in 10 years will have it different FOR THE BETTER than survivors today.

It's about money, it really is. Money is needed to fund research projects and to help millions of people with breast cancer.

It's 2:30 in the morning and I cannot sleep because I'm so excited.

Today is a busy show in the morning and I have some errands to run and things to do that will have me able to go to bed tonight around 11pm. Today, I need to get one or two things to pack that we missed yesterday, but other than that, it's about having FUN on the show this morning AND THEN running the errands today and getting things in order personally and for work that will allow me and Michelle to just concentrate on the walking this weekend.

It feels good with the kids with me tonight. They stayed over. Last night, instead of watching the news like I usually do, I watched Drake and Josh and the Little Mermaid with Eddie. Vanessa was upstairs working on her school project and talking with her friends. Yesterday, I saw my mom and she was doing great. She wished me luck and smiled at me and held Michelle's hand for a second. It was cool to have Michelle tell me that my mom's hand was SO SOFT. That's funny to hear in a good way, because all my life especially when I was a young kid, my mom used to tell me to always put on lotion and PONDS CREAM so I would have good skin. There's a story about my brother Frank who was upset at his 4th grade school picture because he had a really bright shine on his forehead from the PONDS CREAM. I don't know why I mentioned this other than to say: LISTEN TO YOUR MOM, she knows what she's doing!

I'm going to try to go back to bed, but I know I can't. Maybe there's a good Brady Bunch episode on or something like that on TV LAND.

Coming soon, I will post the names that I will be walking for. If I missed one, just let me know and I will update the list before tomorrow morning.

Have a good morning okay?

No credit by me either...early on he wanted to return the money people donated to his account. What an IDIOT! Doesnt he understand people donate their money to a cause they feel is important and he wanted to insult them by returning their money! I can not get past that statement.

FH reads us and quotes us in his blob. How many times have we asked when he would finally get the real reason for the 3 day? In his blob he says something about the "cause" and the "real reason". He has no clue about the cause. Remember when he asked listeners to e-mail him about their loved ones who were affected by this disease, and he would walk in their honor. I wouldn't want the memory of my grandma or the honor of my mom tainted by having Tubby sweat all over their names.

I agree...I thought the point was for outfits for various occasions (originally). I can't wear jeans and T's to work...and many clubs don't allow jeans (not that the outfits are "clubwear") but why do I have to see that for $73 I can have new jeans and a new T-Shirt every week?:spock:

Honestly? I don't feel like many of those movies "represent" my part of the 80's! Yes for sure to Karate Kid, Urban Cowboy and Top Gun, but Breakin' and Electric Boogaloo? Can't say I even remember those titles! I must google right now for them!!!

that kind of thing.

There are a lot of theories about what FH will do to get out of the 3 day, so here's mine: since there will be so many people walking, he will simply "disappear" on the first night, go home and then show up on the last day to cross the finish line and SAY he did the whole three days! He must be careful, though, since he's such a big deal, people will be looking for him constantly for inspiration.

I just thought it was funny that mearly a week after I posted my take on last week's .73 cent Outfit of the week here (Pic on left), LBM would take the time to find a shirt with a Peace Sign around the same spot (Pic on Right) where I Put it last week.

What do you think?

While I vaguely remember the 80s...I have to admit, I'm a 90s girl! It was all about Saved by the Bell, Mariah Carey, Paula Abdul, and slow dancing to Boys II Men's "End of the Road" at the 6th grade dance.

And yes...even before I moved to Seattle, I had a flannel shirt that I wore in junior high because "grunge" was sooooo cool. Augh. Haha.

comments: Your blob about Linda McCartney is not beautiful, it is stupid and ridiculous, like everything else you blab on and on about..
you are empty headed

His response sent via email:

May God have mercy on your soul

My response via email to FH:

Ha ha I'm posting this on apex forums, they will get a laugh out of your response won't they.
Your "connection" with Paul and Linda McCartney is ludicrous!

Please...just donate. SOMEONE needs your blood, even if Sunnie doesn't.

Ok, I know I'm beating a dead horse. I am desperately trying to catch up on the Scandal involving the Texan. I find it absolutely amazing this person could have the nerve and *alls to ask people on this forum to donate blood, that someone needs your blood.
Can someone let me know if this SDGirl87 was involved in this scandal, because it sure seems that way to me.
Please forgive my ignorance - I'm reading this at work and it is taking 4ever.

SDGirl87 was not involved as in "part of the scam" she was being a great person in trying to respond to their needs. I believe she became suspicious, worked with some others to verify information, then came back and had to let the rest of the folks here know.

I'm asking you why did SDgirl87 make all these posts about this Texan woman if she wasn't involved in the scandal..I noticed people were feeling guilty because they couldn't donate blood at that moment and saying they would go in next week to donate blood because their white count was low. That is a very ballsy request, in my opinion for SDgirl87 to make this request on the behalf of someone named Sunnie that wasn't even in the hospital. What I am asking is SDgirl87 involved in the little scandal as well.

What on earth do you think SDGirl87 would gain by asking everybody to donate blood? Are you suggesting she's a vampire? What you're surmising is very confusing to me, considering the basis for your conclusion.

Really, is that what you think? Tex was lying long before SDGirl ever showed up. Go back and re-read the posts. She was setting this up for a long time. Rest assured there are PLENTY of us, not just one or two, MANY of us who have looked into the behind the scenes. I can gaurantee that SDGirl was NOT a part of this scam.

No one needs to go into private chats or anything else to figure it out. All of the pertinent info is right here on these boards look into it yourself. SDGIRl is innocent. Please, no witch hunts. Especially not based on someones strong funloving personality helping us all have a good time on the boards.

Everytime I hear the "Delilah" Song, it makes me all weepy...used to have a cat named Delilah, later started calling him Mr. D....he was a stray that moved into my house with me, then when I took "her" to get her shots and to get "fixed," the Vet asked me why I wanted to spay a neutered male cat.

Well, like I go around LOOKING? I thought he was a she, and ok, I just respected that he wanted to be a she...but ok, we changed the name to Mr. D, which covered all the bases, just in case.

He died unexpectedly, and the song just makes me always think of him...

Wait...are you saying SDGirl87 was asking for what? Good grief. I need to read closer. Are those elves out and about again?

SDGirl87 is a vampire? Crying out loud. You think you know people, then they turn out to be among the underworld. Does she know Angel? I always wanted to know why he always looked so angry.

I have a great deal of compassion for animals, friends, family members. You are obviously a different person than me, as I would have to meet a person or know of them, if I was going to help, and before making so many requests from people I have never met. I am reading and re-reading the posts as I find them very interesting and intriguing. You could be Mother Teresa for all I know, I've never met you. I've obviously offended several posters for posing a question and I need to read the posts and become informed before I make a post obviously based on lack of information on my part.

My compassion is not limited to those that I know. I don't pick and choose who I show it to...it's kind of my standard practice. I recognize that it's not everyone's. I'm no better or worse a person than anyone else. I just happened to be the one that was chosen to be the "messenger". I did it with honor, and I'd do it again.

Asking folks to donate blood didn't seem to be a really bad thing in my mind...no matter what the reason. It also seemed to be a better response to what appeared to be happening, than asking for money from strangers for strangers. Blood donations don't hurt ANYONE and benefit EVERYONE.

I had actually just donated blood voluntarily the day before the request. I do it every 8 weeks. It's a small thing to do for someone who may need it. Should we all be like Tommy and only help those we can get credit for?
