I missed most of the show this morning but did anyone happen to catch why Dave quit his high paying job as an airline captain and what he plans to do for work now? I can just hear it now, Laura will soon be going back to her old "whoa is me" sob story of being broke with less than $10 in their bank account but at least her kid is going to a private school and they can see the dorm room from their backyard where her and Dave first kissed! Beautiful story! I see a movie in the works. Perhaps her life story should be the screenplay for Old School 2!

Read Laura's Diary. She explains everything. He must have something lined up because by quitting for the reasons she gives, he can't collect unemployment insurance. Oh well as the saying goes "a fat pigs #@&^% is always well greased. LOL

It's too bad he gave up a job that he enjoyed. I wonder why Laura didn't give up her job in order to stay home and take better care of those kids.

Dave sounds like the sane one in that family, and I guess he'd like to be there so his kids don't pick up Laura's bad habits. He's no dummy, and he sounds like he has plenty of friends. I'm sure he has something pretty good lined up. I don't think Laura quitting and staying home would make much of a change in that household.

"Dear Diary,
I'm freaked out about something.
On Monday, I found a dead, dried up yellowish fish in the mailbox at our new house. What the heck!?!? What does that mean?!?! Who would do something like that?!?!?! Ick! I was meeting the Bardon Kitchen guy at the time."
Bardon? They charge a minimum of $3,000 to do a job. What is wrong with using the cabinets that came with the place?
"Anyway, yesterday was an exciting day. I picked up the Thomas the Train track set and table that I bought from a lady in the Classified ads. I know, he's almost too old for it, but he LOVED Thomas so much when he was younger, and we pretty much lost all the tracks and trains through the four moves we've made. If he gets sick of it in two months, no biggie. I'll have it to give to his kids someday. It cost me a couple hundred bucks for it all, but"
a couple hundred bucks for a used Thomas the Train set for a child who is too old for it?
Sounds like even with Dave not working the Cains still have money to burn. We better not hear complaints about money in any diary entries!

I still think they are grooming her to take over when they decide to leave.
Think about it. She gets more air time than any of them. One wonders why her name isn't on the show (Jeff, Jer and Laura show).
I wonder if only one of them is planning on leaving and Laura would take their place. The Jeff and Laura show? The Laura and Jer show?

hey, you guys. first of all, both of them chose to have kids. so, let's just ask why Dave should keep a job he loves over Laura keeping a job she loves. I'm no fan of Laura's, but I just am challenging your underlying issue here.
Dave is gone for several days at a time, probably cannot get to the kids' events, etc. It's nice to have a job you love, but you have to make choices. It sounds like he wants to be more involved in those kids' lives than he is. Laura's issues are a sideline. This is about having Daddy come to the programs, the sports events, going to the parks on weekends, etc., or at least that is what I am getting from the choice he is making. Laura staying home 24/7 won't dent that.
Now, I want to say that this whole "get a Cunningham trinket" and auction it off is really offensive to me. I think this is mean spirited. I wish the whole thing would just stop. Let Cunningham go on, serve his time, and quit with milking this. I would have hoped for better from Jeff, at least.

I was only half listening this morning, but apparently the auction for all of the Cunningham ill-gotten goods is today and Tommy is going up to try and get something and then give it away on the air. The idea behind it is that Cunningham got the stuff by taking advantage of the people so J&J are going to give some of the stuff back to the people.

I believe he had his job before they had kids.
It sounds like he didn't like being away from the kids and decided to stop that line of work. It's too bad that he couldn't of worked it out so he could be home every night, but I'm not clear on commuter pilot schedules.
When I usually start having a problem is when the guy has a job to provide for his family and the wife decides it takes him away from the family too much. She eventually forces him to give up something he loves because she won't let up about it.
That doesn't sound like the case here. Dave sounds like the sane one in the group. He made the decision for himself based on how he felt and where he felt his responsibilities were. I commend him for that.
Either that or he saw how messed up the kids would be under Laura's control that he decided to be around more so they wouldn't turn into the next Jack and Kelly Osbourne.
One only has to look at what she is feeding them or how she is sleeping through a baby's cries and forgetting to pick up kids from school to realize something is very wrong there.

I think therein lies the truth - he sees that she's not a full-time Mom, he can't really control his schedule like he'd like - maybe he saw another opportunity in his industry and took it to be closer to home. Also, just think about it - in a custody battle, the parent that spends the most time with the kids is usually the one who ends up with them. Those kids are with her by default (and I'm sure she's not keeping a log of when she's awake when she's in charge of them.....whatever).
Maybe this new job offered him more money and kept him closer to the ground. Maybe he got tired of the commuter pilot job - who knows, but it's good that he's going to be close to home more often. Think about it - they're moving near SDSU - it's just a recipe for disaster when it comes to her.
Duke Cunningham - I agree - leave the guy alone. He screwed up his life, the crap they're auction is just that - crap. But, again, this is J&J struggling to find something NEW to talk about. It's new, just not creative.

I only used the comparison because those were the first messed up siblings that I could think of. I was having an off day so I couldn't think of a better example.
Still I think Jack and Kelly would have been worse off with Laura as a parent.

I must of missed that, but if it offended you it must of been done in bad taste. Maybe Jeff figures he can make the jokes because he's fat.
No, the only thing I heard was that there was a major announcement at 7:10 so I made sure to tune in at 7:20 in order to catch them before they made the announcement.
It was annoying hearing Jer going on and on about purses with Laura making weird gasping and giggling noises in the background.

I couldn't agree more. I have finally given up on J&J and am totally devoted to Monique. She's smart, witty and not boring....by not doing the same thing over and over. Also....she is on live at 5:00 a.m. (no repeats) and sticks it out til the end of the show.

Wabbitsd, you need to ween yourself off J&J and it sounds like you are ready. Remember, we are all here to help you. Start by turning your dial, slowly at first, it will get easier with time. When you hear something truly funny, stop and listen for awhile. We know and understand it may be overwhelming at first, you haven't heard anything funny in a long time but with practice it will get easier. Soon you will find yourself smiling, even laughing while listening to the radio again instead of that nagging desire to rip your hair out by the roots to make the radio stop torturing you. YOU have the power and it will set you free! :)

I haven't listened for a while because I had major surgery about 10 days ago. There is so much better stuff to watch on TV than to listen to the tragically clueless showgram. Obviously, I'm not alone and obviously, they haven't done anything new. Surprise!
I'm about done with my liquid narcotics, so if you guys INSIST on listening to the show, I can send them to you. They're probably the only thing that would make that show enjoyable at this point.
From reading the posts - sounds to me like Jeff had his car stolen and they found it in TJ. Poor Jeff - the car that he gets provided by either the station or the numerous shilling jobs he's done for Mossy is now home for about 3 Mexican families in TJ. Given his salary, I'm sure it's going to be a major monitary hardship for him.
Now I've got a headache - time for more of my liquid "friend".

I did listen for about 4 minutes this morning. People were calling in with stuff that bugs them. I was hopeful that someone would call in and say Laura, but it didn't happen when I was listening.
Then I listened for 5 minutes a little later, and Jer was getting all excited about purses while Laura was moaning once again in the background.
The show needs to be completely redone. It just doesn't cut it anymore.
I refused to listen for a whole year about 5 years ago. When I tuned back in they were doing the exact same thing. Think about it. Same thing at the same time each year.

There is one thing that's getting as old as the J&J show. The same old tired rants about Laura. Go back in this thread about 14 pages of Laura this and Laura that. Here's a news flash. She ain't worth the time and effort.
I understand it's "fun" to rag on the show. but come on...pages and pages and pages? It's the same thing that we all hate the most. Repeating tired worn out schtick.
Jump over on the Jack thread and it's way more lively and guess what? We don't have to listen to the J&J show OR to people drone on about Laura anymore.

Thursday they will give away $10K an hour (10 times). To play you'll have to listen on a "real" radio because the computer broadcast is delayed.
I listened to J&J a bit today- I totally agree with everyone-it's stale and this thread has run out of stuff, because they keep repeating same garbage so are we. Anyways did you catch that Jeff's truck is an Escalade? Thats so funny because he always says "My truck" like oh he's a regular joe manly man with "his truck". After the AAA guy asked him if his vehicle was the escalade he sounded surprised and quietly said yes.

Some styles of authentic Louis Vuitton WILL have "upside down" LVs on the backside. The reason for this is that Louis Vuitton uses one continuous piece of leather that wraps around from the front to back, without a seam on the bottom- and so, the backside has upside down logos. This is true on the Speedy styles (except French Company Speedys), the Keepalls, Papillons, and some similar styles. Most monogram pieces (any piece with a separate piece of canvas or leather on the bottom) will have the LVs rightside up on both sides.
I want that purse...stuffed with $10K :love2:

That is a pretty nice cul-de-sac, however, their backyard is up against Montezuma Rd, which can get noisy. It is a nice size lot at almost 1/2 acre though. I'm guessing this means there's no question she'll be having a gardner to go along with that nanny and housekeeper.

I called them this morning....to ask what stores in San Diego carry it. They said I was the 6th person to call this morning and they were going to call Jeff & Jer to thank them for the free publicity. However, they are just a warehouse and do not distribute to stores. They only way you can get their products is to order them thru their website.
Well the info I got over the phone was totally correct. Here's an e-mail I just received:
The Peanut Butter that we sell is available at Whole Foods and Jimbo's under
the Maranatha label. The manufacturer, nSpired Natural Foods, had been
producing our Nut Butters while allowing us to use our Jaffe Bros. label,
but due to new regulations became required to use their own.
Thank you,
Jaffe Bros.

I missed the peanut butter discussion. Actually as soon as I heard that men had to call in for purse today- I was back to AJ's playhouse. I'll tolerate them for an hour so that I can try and get a purse/$$.
The Sprouts in Vista has a nut butter machine. You add the nuts yourself into the grinder. It's really cool and I mean how much fresher can you get?? It's delicious:drool:

There has been talk about this for quite sometime. I'm guessing if Tommy is in a list of hottest singles in San Diego, he no longer has a fiance'. I don't know anyone who would allow their fiance' to be in a singles list. That long dark haired girl with a fabulous figure Tommy was with for awhile was only addicted to Tommy's wallet. She's still driving the Lincoln Navigator he bought for her.
Anyone catch Tommy talking about why he's in the King Stahlman commercial? He actually claimed he's never been in jail before and it was all the business he gave King Stahlman to bail out his brothers over the years. She mentioned today that Bardon is doing the buildout complete with granite countertops. That sounds like $10k - $15k to do that work. $633K plus a few upgrades under 20K is cheap in this market.
My buddy just built a house on some property AND did all the work himself (he's a contractor - along with his buddies - that would be us) for $740K. Granted it's a nice house, but there are a bunch of 900K and up homes these days around here.
I think if you can get in to a fairly decent place in a fairly decent area - you're hoping it's under $650K or so. More power to her and Dave. Ok, more power to Dave. Ha.

This morning some stupid mother calls in and says that her 15 yo daughter wants to go to a dance club in Escondido called Inferno and the mother just doesn't have a clue what to do...(duh common sense talk to another parent of one the kids that your daughter wants to go to this club with) But I'm guessing she doesn't know any of her daughters friends parents (recipe for disaster IMHO). Anyways they say repeatedly that is an ALL ages club. Per the internet it is a 20 and younger club, no one allowed over 20. So they were once again talking out their a$$es. They ask for someone to call in who is familiar with club Inferno. They took ONE call from a woman who was against it, who had no PERSONAL experience but heard of a friend of a friend. You know the type- Don't talk on your cell while pumping gas because my neighbors cousin friend blah blah blah. A woman calls in and says that a 13 year old "friend" of her daughter went to that club and got so drunk she fell on the floor, when she got home they discovered a "suspicious" stain on her skirt and she ended up pregnant. The consensus was- Oh No- do NOT let your daughter go there. When asked how the girl became drunk, the caller said she must've snuck it in.
How is that the club's fault? The club didn't raise that kid- I would aim the blame at her parents.
J&J are so irresponsible. I had never heard of that club, we live in Carlsbad, but I think its a really great idea.
Before I get bashed for complaining- I was listening to win a purse, my daughter heard about it on the radio really wants to go to.

Just got back from Jeff and Jer detox and thought I would respond to several things - in particular, the large collection of flesh rolls on Krsitin's enormous gut. Ms. Krispy Kreme USA, please come up and accept your donut shaped tiara! She is certainly not pregnant - she and Jeff don't even share a bed – I doubt they even touch without wearing rubber gloves. Sins of the flesh, sins of the flesh! They are not sinners like the rest of the world - even though they have both been married previously. Perhaps their relationship is a convenient charade to conceal their secret gay lifestyles?? Probably not, but it would be intriguing! I seriously don’t even think they have seen each other naked - so she is not pregnant. Perhaps she is possessed by Gary Coleman - that would explain her puffy, bulbous head... Bottom line - she has become a beast. Looks like new Jeff is marrying old Jeff. Are those whiskers on her chin or just lettuce from that double cheese burger she had for breakfast? God, it's good to be back.

It looks like she may have been on medical steroids or something, her face is large too and like I said those popeye arms!
Yeah...I think I'll reserve judgement for now. At least until I know for sure that the sudden weight is not caused by steroids that were needed for a medical condition.
Karma is a powerful thing. Not to mention that I would feel like a complete A.H. if I were to bag on a sick person.

Actually, I am perfect - perfectly convinced that Kristin is addicted to Twinkies - either that or she has been sneaking back into the communion line. Just remember, jeven though the sign says "all you can eat," doesn't mean you need to take that literally. Then again, what do you ecpect from someone who has a drawer specifically for elastic pants.

Anyone know why Jerry was off today? Didn't they all just take a full week off last week? He's got the cushiest schedule of them all. I swear he swindled a 6th or even 7th week of vacation out of the station on his contract while the rest of the show is stuck with just 5 weeks.

Is Jeff dating Kelly Clarkson? I heard them talking about having a shocking picture of Kelly at the beach, but when I went to the website, all I saw was a picture of Kristin in a bikini. Wow, I wonder what it's like to date an American Idol? I knew Jeff was obsessed with the show, but man, this is a little extreme. I wonder if he's met Simon?

Does anyone find it disturbing that Laura lets her young son, who is only 5 or 6 years old, run around unsupervised in her new neighborhood? She mentions in her diary that he spends the entire day with the boy down the street - riding bikes, etc. He is only in kindergarten! But then again, he shops at the liquour store while she waits outside. I feel so sorry for him. I remember kids like him when I was young - they would wander from house to house like little hobo gnats, desperate for attention. Sad.

What made you think that once they moved, she'd have more interest in her children? Silly you! In fact, she'll probably need MORE sleep now because of all the house fixing up she's doing....
Oh wait, we're talking about Laura - nevermind. I'm sure they still live in squalor, just in a different house.

I have to disagree that kids playing outside is a bad thing. When my daughter was younger there were two girls her age on our culdesac and two more- same age on the street behind us. All of the parents knew each other, we knew where the girls were because they would leave bikes in the driveway. They all attended elementary, jr hi and high school together. She is still best friends with one of them. I think kids today miss out on playing outside and just being kids. Mind you they were not allowed to walk to/from school without supervision until the end of sixth grade.
Laura also said in her diary that the neighbor boy had a sleep over with Charlie's grandma. I think she did a good thing for her kids by buying a "normal house" in a "normal neighborhood".
Ok I'm ready for the hate mail....
boris85
04-25-2006, 12:41 PM
I agree that it's great for kids to play outside. It teaches creativity and heightens the imaginations. Plus, it's healthy. But she should not be letting her 5 or 6 year old son run wild up and down the street. She just moved in - she does not know everyone in the area. Plus, kids that young need to be monitored. It cracked me up when her neighbor called Charlie "wild" on the radio this morning. I have two kids. My 7 year old is not allowed to play out front unsupervised. They are allowed to play in the backyard becasue it is a more controlled environment. Laura is the kind of mom who will pawn her kids off on the neighbors so she can nap the day away, or hit the bottle, or both...

Come on, let's be nice. Nina was obviously maimed during her stellar career as a San Diego Padres ball girl. After a few line drives of the face, we'd look the same. Jeff on the other hand - can you say "used car salesman." What a dork. I think he's gotten a nose job though since this was taken. Pam looks pretty good - a lot better than she does now. In her recent pictures she looks pretty weathered - like she's lived the hard life. Too much reaching for the bubbly and caviar. Plus, now she has that short, "I am woman hear me roar" haircut. From behind, she looks just like Jer.

My question is: What does she need new cabinets for? She doesn't cook! No need for any dry goods or dishes - no food going on at that house. Oh, I guess they need a place to store all the free condiments they get from the takeout places - never mind.
Also, what's the deal with this "Little Pepper Deli" crap - I haven't been listening for a couple of months, and they're STILL doing Little Pepper Deli crap. Laura continues to decline on the ladder of human worth. She is the worst mom ever. She comes home last night and her kid is asleep. She realizes that he has not done his homework for the week! How could she let that slide? Kids his age get homework packets at the beginning of the week - how come she does not realize that he has not done his homework at midnight before it's due? Way to be tuned in and be an involved parent? I'd call her white trash, but that would be a compliment. When she realized that he didn't do his homework - she even did some of it for him while the rest of the house slept. Quality. Laura works until 10am and goes home to sleep. She is so lazy and Dave Cain does so much more than her. She is helpless! She should have made sure the work was done before Dave got home from his business trip at 7pm!!
One other thing - she is hawking Bordon Cabinets - convenient after they just re-did her kitchen. She is such a prostitute! She will promote anything is she gets something out of it! I had that company give me an estimate and they are very expensive - like three times more that anyone else. And they are very pushy!! I got bids from independent cabinet craftsmen for a lot less. Laura + Cain = idiot.

On the deal with Laura's son's homework...did the two of them miss the point or what? The assignment is not about just getting it done to turn in. If he didn't do the work, it doesn't do anyone any good to have Laura put it together. The deal isn't about whether or not her son is "That kid" as she worries.
At his age, big deal if he didn't get it done. I think Dave got it at least half right...he went over the spelling words with his son. If Laura wants her son not to be "that kid," well...she better sit down with him and check the homework when he first gets home. Or she can have the nanny do it, eh?

Jeff confirmed today, Nina's "friend" Jay is a scout for the Padres. (How bout those Padres?!) Could the guys name posibly be David Jay? There are a whole lot of articles written by a David Jay on Scout.com about Padre Prospect. Could be Nina's "friend". http://search.scout.com/a.z?s=315&p=4&c=1&search=1&sskey="David%20Jay"&sssiteid=315 but then again, maybe not. I really have no clue.
I heard his name is Jay Jiminez

To each his own I guess. Read the entire thread and you can make your own judgement as to why many in here believe they are NOT real people by any stretch of the imagination. Being fake would actually be acceptable to me actually...as long as I enjoyed listening. But I haven't listened in almost 5 months for three reasons... 1) The show is horribly boring, contrived, monotonous and a gigantic cesspool of poop (Obviously, the good ideas and writers are long gone) 2) I refuse to be reeled in by the syrup and sugar an longer. Sappy music and almost breaking into tears only works so many times before it feels staged and listening becomes painfully annoying 3) The fat producer beats women and pretends to support Becky's house.
So that's my opinion... If you like 'em, then please listen. I will be watching the grass grow for my entertainment in the meantime.

Well, that may turn out to be really good or really bad (depending upon your personal opinion). But.....if they did go on vacation together, she would be constantly whining (as she's known to do), and then he'd end up beating her (well, we've seen his arrest records).......so that really depends on which way you lean.

Unfortunately, I don't get great reception at work and have J&J on now. Jeff is backing out of the car window smashing act. I'm sure this is all a stunt for all these callers to call in begging J&J not to do the stunt. Jeff is whimping out, of course. Why even think of doing an act if it wasn't thought out ahead of time without having to have all these people calling in. I know there has to be something worth more of our attention than this.

There are "viewable" public records confirming these statements(its in this thread). FYI Arrest records are public record.
I know the thread is long, but if you read it (and the title) you will see that most of us come on here and mock the J&J show- because, well, they pretty much suck now. This thread used to be a LOT more lively, but many people can't even stand to listen with the purpose of making fun on here later.

Isn't it true that nothing in those first 2 listings show that they were for domestic abuse, it just showed that they were of a Domestic nature. I believe that also means that it could've just been their 'domestic' divorce proceedings. If you do a search of Jeff and Nina, you'll see the same thing and it WAS for their Divorce proceedings.

I don't think stalking and domestic abuse charges can be confused with divorce. If you read the thread...Sharloe, Christy and Danelle had to call the police on numerous occasions. These are not charges that deserve sympathy or conjecture. This is a repeat offender who demonstrates no remorse. If like being assalted, harrassed, stalked, tormented, controlled and molested, I'd highly recommend Tommy as a partner.

OnLeftCoast - Give me a break. If you looked at the proceedings you would notice that Tommy was the Plantiff in two of the cases. That means that he was the one who initiated the order, not the other away around. One of the ones that you love to bring up is on Feb 23rd when both he and Dannell initiated restraining orders. This is pretty typical in divorce proceedings. You obviously do not like Tommy. That's fine, but your charges that he was the defendant, not the plantiff in all cases is not true.
I am not a fan of Tommy's by any stretch of the matter. I am well aware of his many shortcomings. However, it seems that you are so bent on swaying people into your line of thinking, that you are attacking people who do not. Especially, people who point out the reality of the situation.

Maybe folks from the "Showgram" have realized that this forum exists, and they're now monitoring (and posting)?
Whatever....if that is the case.....then read back through the 40+ pages of posts, and you'll realize why we have the opinions that we do - they're not the "flavor of the moment" - they are consistent.
Long story short - the show is boring, predictable, uninspired, and sounds like it's basically "phoned in". We post here because we HOPE that maybe these folks will put a little bit more into the show so that we can all enjoy them again (like we have in the past, mostly on the other, other, OTHER station). Obviously we've been loyal listeners.....I'm not sure why we are now, though. What they're doing now is basically stuff they've done on the other station. Perhaps they're entertaining themselves, but that's not translating into their audience.
It's sad, really - because in the day, they were funny! I looked forward to listening to their daily exploits. Now - not so much.

I am a personal freind of Christy's and the only reason she didn't press any charges on his stalking her or his harassment of her is because she is to nice a person. I told her to call the cops numerous times. She eventually had to change her phone numbers her e-mail address and her little brothers phone number because he was also harrassing him. No offense taken. But yes, I am beginning to feel the same thing. Joining this board hasn't been a very positive or fun experience. I feel as though I've been 'pounced' on here. I think I'll make my exit! Thanks. :(

It's tough to judge an entire board on one thread. Try some of the others.

Don't leave Arose. Present your points and we'll discuss. That's why this board is fun. My take is that the show REALLY stinks these days...convince me otherwise...make me a believer...show me some spunk...and you have my respect. :-)
