hypothetical question:
if a man and woman (or toad and toadkisser) marry...then sell a home in say PQ...then use that $$$ to purchase new home...is the home then equally theirs? does he lose half of his money that he put down to her...if she should see the light?
just wondering, he should guard his finances...he is such a dumbS***
does he think she is with him for his good looks and personality?
ewww!!!

Blondmom, You are not thinking this through properly....being smart and guarding his finances is so *NOT* romantic. This is a marriage not a logical, smart, well thought out life decision.
I will pray for you.

I'll admit that I'll listen on Friday. But, only for one reason - the drunk weatherman.
For some reason, all these years later, I still find that tape funny. I'd love to get a copy of that. I realize these guys do it on the last show of the year *every* year, but that's one thing I don't mind.

December 17, 2007 1pm: My fiance Michelle is a genius! not the word I would have chosen, but she's not my fiance... She was responsible HUH? Oh, there's more to this sentence. sorry. for having me sleep so well last night and from that I believe I am more productive today ya don't say and excuse me for saying this, more horny as well did we REALLY need to know this? I mean REALLY??? A horndog who's horny. Imagine the odds. . No kidding.yeah, no kidding. (gag) I feel like I'm HIGH on LIFE is that the new street name for crack? right now and it's all because I slept non stop for 7 hours SLEEP makes you high? I must be doing something wrong. Believe me,give me ONE good reason why I should I tried hard to get to Michelle last night to resolve the horny issue, I'm sure , but we have a new rule "no slumber parties" during the week no shacking up during the week. Got it. Weekends though, when one or both of you have the kids, are perfectly fine. . So, I was left in the cold no heat or blankets? and in my own home all by myself Where was Laura? and you know what? Instead of being mad because your fiance told you that she needs a decent night of sleep you would be mad and your ego would take a hit?????? Dumb question. sorry. because of my ego-----I am thrilled and happy she didn't let me come over some jobs are better handled alone anyway (ewwww) . Now, tonight's a different story: I'm getting over there to at least give her a hug! a HUG? A HUG? Ok, may I please see the hands of those who believe this? :)
I wish I wasn't so darn stubborn HERE HERE! oh, there's more. Darn.earlier in the game, because Michelle has been saying since day one SLEEP IS IMPORTANT You're KIDDING ME? SLEEP MATTERS?????????????? WHY DOESN'T THE GOVERNMENT TELL US THESE THINGS?????????! My fiance is a genius! Genius? That's a strong word.
Now for diverticultis: as opposed to later for it? I don't think I got that! you'd know...believe me. Everyday I get a little bit better. so by 2025 you'll be a nice guy? Last Tuesday was the first night it hurt the most. That was the day the regulars came over to my house to surprise me. the ONLY one who was surprised by the "regulars" coming over to surprise you were the mice living in the garage. You were more dressed up for a quiet evening at home, when you were "in pain" than you were for Jingle Ball! When they came over, I was actually in so much pain and hunched over Funny, you didn't look in the least hunched over in the 10 minutes of video that I saw. Yes, I have a stomach, a really good one good one, big one...same thing, but last Tuesday it was even more bloated and hurting from whatever I have gas maybe? from all the crap you eat? , BUT why is this capitalized? since that day, I feel better and better how much better can one feel before one is considered best? . At this moment, I have not gotten that grabbing sensation down there so you mentioned earlier in a few hours and my stomach is back to normal instead of like last week is this somehow related to the horniness you mentioned earlier? . JEFF is still out and hopefully will return tomorrow.or not. what's another week of time off? (ok....I actually hope he does feel better. No one should be sick this time of year)
After the show, Laura picked me up at Perry Ford I thought you were at the show? Oh, you drove over there, gotcha. and we went to IHOP for a quick bite to eat I hop, you hop, we all hop for I hop.. We had a great talk you always have great talks with LBM. Is there ever a time that you have a crappy talk? . You know, the best thing about all this is the admiration that Laura and Michelle have for eachother Does anyone else see the 3-some wheel turning?. Laura went on and on about Michelle and when I'm with Michelle we talk about Laura and it's so cool to see how they become friends frankly, what you're describing is a bit eery and not at all cool. It's like Laura and Michelle are sisters yes, we guessed that long ago and they have a little sister in my assistant Emily YOUR assistant Emily? What do you need an assistant for? You only work 4 blasted hours a day! , who they both adore a FOUR SOME?????????. My current screensaver is a picture from Saturday night at Jerry's of Michelle, Laura, and Emily The Girls Next Door, Tommy Style. It's a cool picture of them in an elevator an elevator? Yipee. Stop the presses. 3 chicks in an elevator. What could be more captivating?
Well, just wanted to say hello. hi :wavey2: I'm going to go take a nap! yes, I'm sure with your 7 hours of uninterrupted sleep and then 4 hard hours at work, you are exhausted. Night night.

Oh and Laura, you should be happy that you get to celebrate the holidays with your babies. Don't sit around, bitching and moping about when and where you get to celebrate. Don't ruin the day for them. So much can change in the blink of an eye and your babies could be gone instantly. You never know what tomorrow holds, so stop whining and graciously be thankful for your time with them.

It's amazing that in his previous blaahg he couldn't spell it, but since it was written here, suddenly he knows it's diverticulitis. He's been eating so bad since he started his "health" kick - his body is probably rebelling. I know it's repelling to me! ha ha

So let me get this straight. Jerry moved across the street to a slightly smaller yet more expensive home in La Jolla last year and it has an elevator in it like his last home? What % of homes in La Jolla have elevators in them I wonder? So far Jerry is 2-for-2.

Laura's Diary - December 18th, 2007
Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at 1:06pm
Dear Diary,
My new place is really nice. It's really sunny. It's really happy, but it kind of smells like a smoker used to live there. You know that smell? It's very faint, but it bugs me, so I hopefully remedied that situation. I went to Target and bought two of those bottle thingies filled with smelly oil with the reeds sticking out. You know those things? The directions state that it takes 24-36 hours for the yummy smells to diffuse through the sticks and throughout the room. So, by 3 o'clock today I'm hoping to be hit with a glorious odor when I open up the door.
I started my Christmas shopping yesterday, too. I am so darn excited to see Charlie open up his stuff! I cannot wait to play with the things I got him. And, I need to find Ev a really nice play kitchen set…a wooden one. I bought a bunch of fake wood food at Target. I also bought her a set of metal bowl and a mixer and a toaster. Target has the cutest wood appliances for little kids!
I'm embarrassed to write this, but, here goes: I am so excited to watch the season finale of A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila. I hope she picks Danni. I am pathetic. Last night, I was all about Intervention. That is the most depressing show, but I can't get enough of it!
I'm trying to figure out when I'll spend my first night in my new place. I need to get my cable hooked up, so I can start up my new TV. It'd be much too scary to sleep in that house without TV as a companion. Then, there's the bed situation. I need to get a bed, fast. Hello...Sleep Train!
At least Christmas isn't like a week away or anything! AAAHHHH!
See you tomorrow, Diary.

At least Christmas isn't like a week away or anything! AAAHHHH!
See you tomorrow, Diary.

Yes, not only is she pathetic in her tv viewing habits, but that particular show, honest to goodness. Isn't that woman like bisexual, and isn't it kinda like watching a hooker size up the guys (and gals) she is going to have repeated sex with? It's a gross commentary on the losers of the world, if that is the same show I have seen...and it is.
I feel the need to disinfect if I just channel surf PAST that show on the look for Law and Order or CSI reruns.

And the way he was hugging everyone at the begininng shows that he clearly isn't close with the "regulars". I swear it seemed like the first time he even saw those people. And what's with his crying? Yes, it's one of the benefits of pregnancy, aside from the nausea, weight gain, indigestion, etc. :) That's why I try to get pregnant each year to make my hubby happy until I can afford the after manufacturer parts.
In all seriousness, LBM is worse than a teenager! I cannot stand her Daily Dirt because that's when she acts the most juvenile! Pray tell Laura dear, how on earth Evie is going to play with this new kitchen...it's not as if she can pretend to cook "just like mommy"...or does Target make cute little wooden replicas of Top Ramen noodles?

Today is supposed to be show and tell day, and it is Delana's turn. From the little I heard, it wasn't even mentioned, Jeff was ranting and raving about no decent stores in Carmel Valley, ugh!
I guess she's not a big enough deal to share her show and tell with the rest of the big deals
I noticed this too. I even went (and survived) to their webpage, and the Tuesday Show & Tell Feature is no where to be found. If you are reading this and work for the station, get that fixed, mmmkay. Jeff got to share something, Tommy shared (old photos and an OJ autograph) and next it was D's turn.
I also would like to note (for those of you who don't waste your time on their website) that even the Home Page for the Radio has many links to the Jef&Jeriatric page. It's like they run the whole website. It's hard to find a link for Hilary or Rick & Jen. It's J&J&J&J&J&J&LBM.
FH has the fluuuuuuuuu AGAIN! (saving grace for anyone listening)
LBM should be in by Easter; depending on when Sleep Train comps her a free bed and she can squeeze in a cable appt between yoga, movies, DVR viewings, shopping and hotel get-aways.

All natural, all the way. (I don't include the exercises I did back in jr. high. "We must, we must, we must improve our bust" accompanied by swinging arm movements.) I would be a tad more satisfied if my boobs still sorta pointed the same direction. And yes, they do melt down my ribs like marshmallows when I lie on my back. But after two kids, whatcha goin' do? I still prefer these compared to two overfilled balloons stuffed inside my skin. I predict that in the not too far future, fake boobs will be viewed as a dated mistake. Men, what do you think? I am curious what one thinks when they realize they are getting up close and personal with a bag of silicone.

DC#44 I agree, Texasgirl.... a dated mistake. Like full face-lifts, dyed hair on 80-yr olds, and former-girlfriend tattoos. However, I believe I can answer what two "men" might think: FH: "cantaloupes, fake boobs, watermelons, silicone, ceiling light fixtures with the screw in the middle, all the same to me. Bring 'em on, baby." Jer(k)perv: "uh, could you talk sexy to me about this for the next hour (stripper music in the background) while I explore and investigate the merchandise? Oh by the way, are there any animal byproducts in those? And have I read you my list of alternate names for those luscious outcroppings?"

Good God! Laura actually acknowledges that she'll get the "Mother of the Year" award in her latest diary. She made her poor son wear a woman's red shirt to his XMAS show! Why, because she waited until the last minutes to get his shirt out of his bag and look at it. She realized it was a man's shirt - way too big. You'd think she would've checked it out, maybe ironed it, etc. to make sure all was well. But then again, she is a complete idiot. She just humilated her son and made him look like a miniature cross-dresser. Is there an agency above CPS to come and get her kids? Maybe COIPPA (Children of Idiot Parents Protection Agency)?

Dear Diary,
Prepare the "Mother of the Year" award, please. I deserve the honor for what I did last night.
Charlie's school Christmas program was last night. I had picked him up from school earlier in the day and I took him and Evan back to Tommy's until it was showtime. Charlie busied himself by wrapping presents. They were just knick knacks from around my room, but he's practicing his skillz, so he wrapped away. Ev and I dolled up a little before the big show. I curled her hair for the first time. Her hair went flat as soon as she walked out the door. Her sweet blonde hair is so fine.
Anyway, after shoving pizza down their throats, I marched their butts upstairs to change. We needed to leave Tommy's house by 6pm to get to his school by 6:30pm. At 5:55pm, Charlie informs me that he needs to change into his Christmas shirt? What?
"Dadda put it in my backpack."
I found the shirt. Charlie put it on and we both gasped. For some reason, Dave grabbed an adult sized red polo shirt. Charlie looked like he was wearing a dress. The poor kid was trying to tuck the thing in, but couldn't stuff all that material in his pants. In a panic, I raced to my closet and pulled out a red long-sleeved shirt I had just bought from Styles4Less.
"I don't want to wear that! It's a girl's shirt!
"Too bad, kid, put it on and grab your stuff cuz we gotta go!"
Thank goodness he agreed and off we went. We made it just in time. The church was super crowded, so luckily Karen saved me and Ev a seat in the second row. I told her about the shirt as Charlie and his class walked onstage and we burst into laughter. It was so obvious he was wearing a chick shirt. So obvious! The sleeves were too long, it was really form fitting and it kind of tight, even on him. I felt like such a loser. I'm hoping no one else noticed.
Since we were sitting so close, we could see Charlie perfectly and he could see us. During the occasional silent parts of the program, Evan would choose that time to scream "Hi Charlie!" It was so cute. This probably isn't the most mature thing to do, but the whole time he was singing with all the students, we were making faces at each other. That kid was making me laugh so hard with his funny antics. At one point he did a Sammy Sosa-type finger kiss to the crowd. Needless to say, Evan and I enjoyed the program immensely.
Today I'm going to every Costco in town to find that retro kitchen that people emailed me about. It is just about the cutest thing I've ever seen and Evan would love it. Wish me luck!
See you tomorrow, Diary.;
Soooo many things wrong about today's entry!!!!
Where to start????
First, I guess I hadn't noticed in a while that she writes "Dave" and no longer "Davecain"-no more love from her!
Secondly, she BLAMES Dave for getting the wrong shirt? How is it that this pathetic excuse for a mother doesn't even know he's supposed to wear a certain color for the performance? Shouldn't she have already known that it was to be a white shirt and tie, or a red sweater, or whatever kids where on stage for their singing?
Making faces????? COME ON LADY!
And as for Evan screaming "Hi Charlie!" I'd let my daughter do that once in the beginning, and that's it. No more.
By the way, Laura, my sweet polite baby girl was in HER first performance on Monday. Guess what's on my video tape of her? Lots of talking, laughing from adults next to me and their OBNOXIOUS children in front of me, even when I asked several times politely to stop for at least the next two minutes. Did anyone stop? No! Did the parents finally chastise their kids later, when it was THEIR other childrens' turn? Yes.
I'm sure all those other moms appreciated your class act, lady.
GET YOUR POINTY HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS FOR ONCE!!!!
boris85
12-19-2007, 09:36 AM
Agreed! Way to allow and promote your kids' obnoxious behavior. Basically, she let Charlie the attention starved Chimp make faces, act out, and be a distraction during the performance; and then she let Evan Not So Mighty join in! Classy

Laura's Diary - December 19th, 2007

Dear Diary, so far, so good.
Prepare the "Mother of the Year" award, please. I deserve the honor for what I did last night. Can't wait to hear this!
Charlie's school Christmas program was last night and remembering that makes you Mother of the Year?? Oh, there's more. Sorry.. I had picked him up from school earlier in the day and I took him and Evan back to Tommy's until it was showtime thought you had your own place now...why are you still at Tubby's? . Charlie busied himself by wrapping presents. They were just knick knacks from around my room, but he's practicing his skillz skillZ? What are you, 14???, so he wrapped away. Ev and I dolled up a little before the big show because nothing says Christmas quite like a mother daughter skank fest! . I curled her hair for the first time. Her hair went flat as soon as she walked out the door. Her sweet blonde hair is so fine.
Anyway, after shoving pizza down their throats good. a nice healthy meal, eaten at the table in a civilized manner. glad to hear. , I marched their butts upstairs to change what about the rest of their bodies? . We needed to leave Tommy's house by 6pm to get to his school by 6:30pm. At 5:55pm, Charlie informs me that he needs to change into his Christmas shirt? What? Did it not dawn on you that THERE might be some sort of costume or special clothing for a Christmas presentation? EVERY parent knows this. I'm not even a parent, and *I* know this.
"Dadda put it in my backpack." 2 points for DC!
I found the shirt. Charlie put it on and we both gasped. For some reason, Dave grabbed an adult sized red polo shirt An involved parent would have had a shirt already out and ready at the house that the kid is at...and not relied on the "responsible" parent to save her butt. . Charlie looked like he was wearing a dress. The poor kid was trying to tuck the thing in, but couldn't stuff all that material in his pants. In a panic, I raced to my closet and pulled out a red long-sleeved shirt I had just bought from Styles4Less. Again, how could you NOT know that he needed a red shirt, or at least ask him at 5:30 what he's supposed to wear so you could avoid a panic???
"I don't want to wear that! It's a girl's shirt!
"Too bad, kid, put it on and grab your stuff cuz we gotta go!" You choose THIS occasion to be a parent??
Thank goodness he agreed he's 7. He's not supposed to have a choice. and off we went. We made it just in time. The church was super crowded, so luckily Karen saved me and Ev a seat in the second row which means that you were NOT on time, if there were no seats left except what was saved for you by someone who DID arrive on time. I told her about the shirt as Charlie so you can embarass your son with your own ignorance, just as much as Tubsy does. GOOD parenting and his class walked onstage and we burst into laughter Excellent! Make fun of your son's logical and natural insecurity by laughing at him in public. That'll help his self esteem. . It was so obvious he was wearing a chick shirt. So obvious! So let's LAUGH at him, rather than be supportive. The sleeves were too long, it was really form fitting and it kind of tight, even on him ok...so if it is tight on a 7 year old...HOW IN GOD'S NAME WERE YOU PLANNING ON WEARING IT??????????????????. I felt like such a loser Well said. . I'm hoping no one else noticed. Yeah, I'm sure no one noticed you, a "Big Deal" coming in late dragging 2 kids behind her, squeezing onto a crowded row and then roaring with laughter when your son came out in a shirt that is "obviously" (your word, not mine) a chick's shirt AND form fitting to his little body.
Since we were sitting so close, we could see Charlie perfectly and he could see us. During the occasional silent parts of the program, Evan would choose that time to scream "Hi Charlie!" and a normal, thoughtful parent would let that happen ONE time then put an immediate stop to it. It was so cute No, it wasn't. It was rude, obnoxious, and extremely disrespectful to the kids on the stage and the teachers who spent an enormous amount of time getting ready for this special occasion. It was also extremely thoughtless to the other parents who's kids were behaving well. SHOCK NEWSFLASH: the whole world doesn't think that your 3 year old screaming in a silent part of a production is cute. . This probably isn't the most mature thing to do but why let that stop you? , but the whole time he was singing with all the students, we were making faces at each other Utter and total disregard and disrespect for him, his classmates, the teacher(s) and the other parents. Not to mention, downright stupid and idiotic. . That kid was making me laugh so hard with his funny antics Oh, I didn't realize that the Christmas production at a church was supposed to be a comedy show for you. My apologies. . At one point he did a Sammy Sosa-type finger kiss to the crowd. As a former teacher, that would have probably made me come unglued, because the kid is now calling all of the attention on himself and not focusing on what the entire class worked hard on. It's utterly and completely out of line, inexcusable and rude. It's NOT cute at all. Not even a little bit. It SHOULD be embarassing to you. Needless to say, Evan and I enjoyed the program immensely. Yay for you, and to heck with all of the other guests.
Today I'm going to every Costco in town to find that retro kitchen that people emailed me about. It is just about the cutest thing I've ever seen and Evan would love it. Wish me luck! I'd rather wish you parenting classes and etiquette classes.
See you tomorrow, Diary.;

Of course she should have known what he was supposed to wear. They both should have known. You know, I'm a single parent too, with no ex in the picture and it's been like that since the beginning of my parenting days. You know how many times my kids have been without something they needed for a special school performance, etc.?????: NEVER. These performances are BIG DEALS to them; you just can't let them down, surely LBM can understand that? It's not so hard to take care of your kiddos, just put them first for a change, that's all.
Some of the many best moments of my life have been proudly watching my kiddos on their school stages, with the right clothes and props and smiles, just like everyone else's. Maybe it means just a little bit more to me because I imagine (rightly or wrongly) that it's harder for me to pull it off than it is for "traditional" families. Don't you see, Laura? Try getting it right for a change and feeling good about that instead of having to make jokes about how you screwed up again. Everyone goofs up now and then. But every single frigging pointy time you need to come through for them...you don't. So stop laughing about it. It isn't funny.

I can't help but think that Laura has just now come into focus about her kids' school programs...Charlie has probably been in several of these, yet she acts and talks about it as if it were the first she has ever seen...probably the first one she has had any responsibility in preparing him for, that seems for certain.
USUALLY (and since this Big Deal's Kid goes to a private school, right?) there is a flyer sent home with the kids detailing what they need...to expect a 7 year old to give the parents the full 411 on attire....I can hear it now. "Dad, I need a red shirt for the Xmas Play Tuesday." DC probably backed the backpack in the morning, or had the nanny do it. Didn't think a whole lot about it.
Shows the two of them (The parental Cains) are probably still not talking to each other very much, or in any depth. May this be a wake up call for both of them.
I think I'm bored with bagging on Laura. I'm bagging on Dave today.

Aaaurggh.
NR #26
I know Charlie goes to a private school, but if ANYONE knows the name of it, maybe we could find out what time the performance actually was slated to start?
She only gave her self 1/2 an hour to get there, from 5:30 to 6:00, right? And the place was packed, right? I totally agree that this could NOT have been Charlie's first time performing anything, therefore she should be somewhat of a pro by now!!!
MY little girl's performance started at 6:15. I showed up at a time that I thought was VERRRRY early, 5:30, and the place was also packed! but, my dear Laura, this was my first time as a parent going to my "kid's" performance, and now that I know better, I know to show up extra extra early, and be prepared.
UGH!!!! For some reason I'm very fired up about all of this!

I think she fires most of us up because of our sympathy for the kids. How sad is it that those kids have to depend on her ... and how sad is it that she and Dave cannot put their differences aside even for the kids?
It makes me sick. It may seem like a silly little children's production to LBM, but I'll bet to Charlie, it was a big deal.
Whatever. It seems there's very little room in that big-headed woman's brain -- or heart -- for anyone other than herself.

Since when does a pre-coordinated jogging suite count as an outfit SHE put's together??????
Layla ... love ya, but I can't see that suit as pre-coordinated. The only thing I see is a hideous bunch of fabric that would be more suited on an older lady with blue hair and orthopedic shoes. Perhaps LBM is wearing an outfit she's purchased for her mother (or grandmother?) for Christmas?

Totally understood, Layla. How UN-LBM-like it is to rely on the efforts of others to do her job ... usually she's so conscientious and works so hard to do a good job!
Not only does she have horrid taste, she relies on the hideous pre-coordination efforts of others.

Well, I'm gonna go against the flow here. The shirt snafu belongs firmly in DC's lap. He obviously knew a red shirt was required, could not bother to relay the info to LC, and then he buys an adult shirt!!!!
And no, the days of the detailed flyers are long gone. Teachers tell the kids, and hope the kids tell the parents.
Anywho....real life is peppered with parental faux pas...far be it for me to cast any stones.
She can make time to put together that hideous "jogging" outfit but can't pull it together enough to figure out her son might need something for a special production he's been working on at school? (before "shoving" pizza down his throat---lovely image)
And condoning and participating in the RUDE and OBNOXIOUS behavior with her kids is not teaching them a thing about being respectful, decent or kind. Teachers do not think that kids mugging and shooting signs into the audience is "cute"; it's the temptation they work to help the kids resist. This adds nothing to the performance or the enjoyment for the other families. But then, LBM doesn't think about that; she rushes in past all the others who took the time to be prepared; pushes past them to her "saved" seats and then makes a commotion throughout. So glad she and Evan enjoyed it "immensely". (wondered if those around them did as well).

Redwillow, that's what I was saying, DC was the one who stuffed the shirt in...you would think he had some idea of what they were looking for, but probably did a last minute "This outta do." but then again...both parents knew there was a program coming up. Wouldn't most parents ask things like, "What time is the show, what time do you need to be there, what time should we get there to get a good seat...."
I guess my kid's school was a little more savvy than some. If there was a special shirt needed, the kids would have had to have them two days before the show. (One day to forget, and one day to get the right item) And they DID send little blurbs to the parents, telling what time the kids needed to be there. And it only took the first performance to figure out you needed to get there and get your seat really early.
Frankly, people who save seats for others during these shows bug the heck out of me.
ohmygosh. I'll take the kids acting up in the audience any day over the self-centered parents who figure they are the only ones running a video camera and get up and walk right up to the front (blocking everyone's view) because they are a big deal.

Dave made the mistake of putting the wrong size shirt in the backpack... but had she not waited until the last possible second, she could have had time to stop at Target or Walmart to get him a shirt that fit. Why give yourself only 30 minutes to get there? Isn't that still rush hour traffic time? He could have missed the show.
I have nothing to say about how rude the three of them acted during the performance. I would have been mortified if I was the person sitting next to them. I cannot imagine acting that way in public. If I were the teacher, I would have asked LBM to leave. Does she really think she deserves "Mother of the Year" or is she being sarcastic?
Good luck w/ the Costco kitchen... they have always been sold out when I looked for one for my niece. I hope she has better luck considering she's put Christmas off to the last minute too and probably doesn't have time to go looking for a plan B.

I agree that DC definitely bears some responsibility in this...however, I give him credit for packing the shirt in the first place. We don't know that he bought an adult size, only that it was the one that made it in the bag. There very well may be a Charlie sized shirt sitting at DC's house and the 2 got muffed up.
Flyers are still sent home at some schools. As a personal assistant, I get all of the communiques sent from my boss' kid's schools sent to me, AND the teachers take the additional step of emailing all the parents AND posting on the school website (public school)so there is no mistaking what is going on.
I think my own ire with her is the blatant and immature disregard for all of the other parents who were present...probably video taping the special occasion for their kids and now they have Evie screaming HI CHARLIE in the quiet times, a kid making hand gestures to the audience and making faces to his Mom, rather than a memory of their own kid's special night. The absolute disrespect to the teachers and other kids in the class who worked very hard to pull this off. And mostly, the fact that she, yet again, didn't think ahead and her son had to pay for it.
I've been one who has really really tried to give her credit for recovery and compassion for the divorce...I've been in her corner a lot more than some others, but this one really really ticks me off. She not only did this to her own son, she did it to all of the other kids there. These are not her friends, they are her children. She is supposed to be the parent and teach her kids how to behave in public situations, how to be prepared (and yes, that includes both parents communicating) and how to treat others with respect. She did none of those things. If this was a one time shot...no biggie, but it's not. It's a pattern.

Of course Laura Loser's kids go to a private, expensive Catholic school. That's why they're so well-behaved and classy. Being such a big deal, there's no way she'd have them mingling with commoners in public school. They'd end up, well, like her. Can I get the phone number for the admin who takes care of that at that school! I'm so angry right now! I just got a call from my husband, who heard through the grapevine that all of the kids at my son's school are currently on stage singing Christmas songs. I have been asking my kid (7 yrs old) for two weeks if there is some sort of Christmas show. No, he keeps telling me. Not one notice was sent home. So, I call the school, I get told that it was "nothing formal" (although they are ON STAGE, grrr!) and it was just a surprise for the parents (which is why son keeps saying "no") and that "they assumed the music teachers were going to send a notice home" but they were sorry, they were mistaken. ARRRRGH!!!!! "We are starting just about now." Thanks, I'm 40 minutes away at work, so that helps a lot. They succeeded at the "surprise", that's for sure!
So help me if it's LBM for the Breaking and Entering...they wouldn't dare! Tubby was reading the letter but I was busy running kids and errands this morning; didn't listen. Just heard that his living room is overflowing with stuff. No doubt LBM will have access to some of the "leftovers" for her new place (if she ever decides to stay there).

The school tends to attract lots of BIG DEALS who fancy themselves and their kids as big deals. AND, lucky for LBM, they put on a few BIG DEAL gala events to raise lotsa dough...LBM will have a lot of fun showing up in inappropriate attire at those events.
Darn, I hope no one else on this board has kids attending the school.

I use an ancient glass-blowing technique to shape fresh dog crap into cute animal figurines. I only charge $250 per sculpture! Maybe Jeff will hire me for Valentine's Day to make a sexy rendition of Krusten with Leroy in her lap!:bandit:
PS - it's about $100 more to work with the human stuff. First of all, I import it directly from Australia (100% Aborigine) - and it's right from the source, bottled on the spot - no middle man; and second, it's very thick and hard to work with... Picture thick peanut butter. With this stuff, not only do you have to blow it like glass, but you also have to use a special modified pottery wheel to create consistency. This gets very messy!!! I recommend plenty of plastic sheeting...

What breed is Leroy? (See his picture here (http://jeffandjer.star941sandiego.com/leroy_bobble.html) at the bottom of the page.) If he's part pit bull, I'm shocked that the agency would place a foster child in their care.

I recommend plenty of plastic sheeting...Boris, you are on a roll tonight! LMAO and then some.

I know he is part SharPei and I think the other part is Lab. He was part of a litter adopted out of Helen Woodward. Jeff hosted the "reunion" party for all the litter mates a couple of months ago.

Jeff: “Well, this is it. For ten years now Tommy and his ‘hoodlum’ friends have taken it upon themselves to make a special Christmas for some San Diego family in Chula Vista.”
Jer: “Here’s what it is: what it is, is, Tommy does his thing each year, and what it is, is, his thing is what he does each year.”
Jeff: “The good folks at Mossy Nissan, Sleep Train and 34 other companies in San Diego, give Tommy all this free stuff, and then he delivers it to a poor family and tells us that it is his ‘Breaking and Entering’”
LBM: “Tommy is the most giving man I know. When I was shivering and retching from withdrawals, he gave me a DVD of last season’s ‘The Hills.’”
Jer: “Pam’s got some hills!”
Jeff: “Nothing says Christmas like providing gifts to many houses! I do it. I send gifts to all my families in every state I’ve lived in.”
Jer: “Here’s what it is: Tommy gets a letter and then reads it. He is moved by the letter and then reads it on air. We listen and all the 38-year-old-women who hear the show call in, and cry. Let’s get started!”
Tommy: “This family reminds me of my childhood. That’s why I chose them.
‘Dear Tommy,
There is a family that lives near me with an old Play Station and deflated balls. Can you help them? “
Jeff: “Wow! What a horrific childhood for these kids!. Oops! I forgot to log off from my ordering a bobble-head doll of each of my kids to send to each of my wives. Let’s see, $326 per kid times 3 families….boy, I’ll be doing this show until I’m 92!”
All: “Ha, Ha, Ha…”
Tommy: “My mom did so much for us! When we were poor, she would go to casinos every day to earn money for us to eat! I love my mom!”
LBM: “I love my mom too!!! When I was struggling with my marriage, and struggling with raising my kids, and trying to overcome my meth addiction, she would visit me and drink Chardonnay with me until 6 am!! What a giving, loving mama!”
Jeff: “That’s what make Christmas so special. In this selfish, self-absorbed world, it is important to tap into those Ohio roots and be a family! It’s time to step up and be real!!”
Jer: “Pam’s play pillows are real!”
We’re the one and only Jeff and Jer, and this has been the most fraudulent day of our lives’!!

Sorry Wabbit, I quoted you more on the flyer thingy.

I've given her the benefit of the doubt so many times, that's why I lurked and didn't post for a long time. But after reading blahg after blahg after blahg where she boasts about yet another example of her inability to parent...well, I finally got pushed over the edge and now, when my head hits the keyboard, I have to vent. When it comes back and bites me in the behind I'll let you know. It's quite possible, since I'm not at the "finish line" quite yet, but I'm over halfway there and so far so good.

The first rule in parenting? That which you choose to criticize others for will most certainly come back and take a big ol' bite out of your behind.
No. The first rule in parenting is, you are required to be a stable influence, and your kids are required to orbit you! You are not a camp director, nor a self-esteem coach. You are the center of "life's" universe and your kids are to follow you, as you live a consistent, moral, self-less life.
LBM and FH refuse to understand that their children follow their patterns. They are sloppy and irresponsible....what a shock! Their crotch-fruit falls close to the tree!
I criticize bad parents constantly -- and my ass has not been bitten.....and I've got a cool, kind, respectful, teenage-girl, who actually likes her dad and spends lots of time with him.
Wanna be a good parent? Be firm...be fair...be flexible....be fervent.
It isn't about what your kids want....it's about what your kids need.

I agree Jake. I'm not a parent yet, but I see the things that LBM and FH do and the impact it has on their kids, and it makes me not want to be like them. Laura's blogs should be printed into a parenting text book of what not to do. I will critize her for her behaviors and actions and I know that it won't bite me in the ass because you won't catch me acting like a child when I'm supposed to be the mom. You won't catch me taking my kids to liquor stores and letting them scratch off lotto tickets or breaking into locked facilities just so that they will think I'm the fun parent.
About sour straws... Think about all of the other parents who went to the Christmas show last night and were so excited about seeing their kids perform, only to be distracted by some crazy ass in the crowd encouraging her kid to make a spectacle of himself, and her other child shouting out at inappropriate times. It is a distraction, it is rude and embarassing. I would expect the face making from Evan, not the parent. Should people just look past that behavior and say that she was just having fun?

You all have already captured and expressed the horror of LBM's inexcusable behavior at the Christmas pageant. Last time I checked, Christmas pageants at Catholic schools were about the Nativity, not about some needy jackass on stage clowning around for his immature, self-centered momma. I was really ticked off by that diary entry.
Who said Ho Ho Ho about the LBM Ho? That was hilarious.
Last Friday my son was in a Christmas jazz band concert at his high school. Show time, 7 pm. Our family arrived at 6:15 to get good seats and make sure we were on his side of the stage. Four days before show -- bought him a green shirt and a Santa hat as requested by band director. Two days before show -- had him try on his black pants that he hadn't worn since last May because I figured he'd grown too tall. When I saw that he did -- went and got him a new pair the day before the show. Look at all the time I wasted on that kid last week? Had I only known that I could have let him borrow a pair of my black pants and a blouse I could have saved a ton of time and money. Instead of the santa hat I could have stretched one of my daughter's red knee socks over his head and then laughed at him when he walked out on stage in his La Cage ensemble.
Nightie night my DC friends.

She can't even really scold them for acting out in public next time because she made it ok. There's going to be a lot of "but dada, mama said I could act a fool" for Davecain to undo. OK - I'm sorry. Jeff is perhaps the worst gift giver in the world. He is giving Krusten the Hillbilly Clown a Leroy Brown bobblehead??? First of all - why pay homage to a destructive mutt like Leroy, second - it's hideous! And!! Get this - he spent over $300 on it! This is from the corney website: "If I receive your payment and your photos at least 3 weeks before you need your doll they are $300.00 plus $20.00 packing, shipping and insurance. (Plus sales tax if you live in Ohio.)"
It's all relative Boris. JnJ make right around $3.5 million a year each. If they get paid two times a month that means their paychecks are $143,000+ gross. To put this in perspective, they could afford to buy a brand new Ferrari every two weeks paying cash. I don't know about you but based on those figures $300 on that gift for Jeff is like me paying 4 - 6 bucks for it. For $4 I could buy a kids happy meal with a mass produced bobble head doll in it and wouldn't think twice about throwing it out a day or two later.
I thought it was funny when Tommy mentioned in a blog last week that they were getting their last paychecks before Christmas(as if they live paycheck to paycheck and need that money for Christmas gifts). Since Tommy's contract is exactly 1/2 what JnJ make, Tommy's bi-weekly gross is about $70,000. Ho Ho Ho Tommy! I can see what Mooch sees in you, dollar signs dancing above in her head.
Regarding b/e Christmas. Here's something to ponder while you think about what that family is thinking as they come back to their place filled with presents and money. How many families will return home in the South Bay hoping it was them mentioned in that letter this morning only to be disappointed it wasn't.
I don't know about you guys but mentioning on the radio that someone is painting the front windows with snowmen and other christmas decorations for the b/e family might not have been a good idea. There's nothing that sticks out more in the South Bay area then holiday decorated windows like a shop at the Hotel Del would have. I sure hope Tommy is providing FULL TIME security for that place until the family moves. Either that or an alarm system. I can't imagine detailing every item being left in that home then marking the front of the home so it sticks out like a sore thumb wouldn't make it a target for burglars.

Great, someone gets an outlandishly, over the top bounty jackpot of a Christmas. Maybe they really DO deserve every bit of it, but why, OH WHY do they (the spewgram) have to do it so publically? It's all about the ratings! I would respect them so much more for what they do if it were done totally unselfishly. My 2 cents, that all. Dear Diary,
Oh boy, I forgot to tell you something we did last weekend! On Saturday I dragged Char along with me to go wrap Christmas gifts, (I only had two) at Karen's house. Sally brought her son too, so Char and Sally's kid played video games while us mom's talked. There was so much fudge and brownies, I was sure Char would pass out from the sugar overdose! But glad he burned off some of that energy by running from Karen's dog, and the neighbors puppy. I was so glad Char was there, when I thought I left something in the car, he took my key and he and Sally's boy went out side to check the car for me! He loves to be Mommy's little helper!

I live in a newer neighborhood that would be considered somewhat nice and nobody has decorated windows anywhere. Nothing against CV Layla, my point was merely stating the house should stand out like a sore thumb since a professional artist painted the windows with holiday icons that were blurted out on the radio making it easy to identify. It would not have stood out had they omitted this part or at least left it off the radio.

Maybe the "poorer" neighborhoods paint their windows because it's less expenzive than the big balloon decoration I see all over my nicer neighborhood? I don't know. It's not jsut your post though, please don't take my rant personally. It's ALL of the coming down on CV that is done, ESPECIALLY by Tommy, who, byt he way, needs to move his mom OUT of CV if he thinks it's so darn awful.
Took one for the team this morning and listened to the B&E. Found it interesting that FH (the "angel" as so many bawling callers referred to him), didn't seem to shed a tear this year. Usually he's crying and all choked up. This year it sounded like a job; all business and he was the supervisor running the show. And yep, another CV family; who called that?
Gotta admit I was kinda rooting for the dog to "greet" FH just a little bit...
Also liked how LBM mentioned that she put the kitchen set for Evan in her new house so Evan won't see it ('cause she's never there, and obviously has no plans of moving in any time soon).
Nope, DC didn't save her a seat; someone named Karen did. Sure if they'd sat next to one another LBM would've made some snide comment in her diarrhea about it.

Well, the problem I see with all the carping is based solely on their blog version of events. There is no third-party, objective accounting of what really happened. Since Laura and Flubby are "showbiz", I expect some hyperbole.
Having just spent a week celebrating my Grandmother's 90th, I can tell you all sorts of family faux pas that have become the source of great hilarity.
My Grandmother shot a swan once, and tried to pass it off as a goose. It was not very tasty. We all laugh at that story, and no one grew up into a swan shooting hooligan.
Of course, my job entails daily reminders of bad parenting, and sometimes sheer tragedy. About a month ago, a three year old was killed when a dresser and t.v fell on her. I'm sure some of the neighbors make themselves feel better by blaming the parents, but the truth is there are lots of folks out there with hidden hazards all over their house. Some people are just lucky that nothing bad happened....yet.
I'm all for poking fun, but nobody liked Gladys Kravitz! ;)

Re: the scratcher thing...number one, As a parent, I look at it as a chance to exercise respect for the law. Whatever you think about scratchers being harmless, it's illegal for kids under 18 to do it. I expect my daughter to abide by the law, even if she disagrees with it. Speed limits, drinking age, etc. etc. are there, if you disagree with them, as parents, you abide by them, or you work to change them. You can't show your kids that sometimes you pick and choose which laws you wish to respect. When they get old enough to have good judgement about issues, maybe you can start the debate.
When you get to the issues of cigarrette smoking, "mom, it's only pot!", drinking alcohol under the age of 21, etc. you have an easier time of it explaining why you need to follow the law.
I'm not ever going to lay claim to being a perfect parent, but there are some lines that I feel I cannot cross--particularly when my daughter is around.
And for God's sake. her disrespect for the other parents and kids at the Xmas show is beyond even commenting about. But she's a self-imposed BIG DEAL, and everyone there was just darn lucky she has graced them with her presence. At least they are paying big bucks for the priviledge of being a "big deal" at that school.

Sheesh, I spent my High School years in Chula....class of '77.....I'd say it was a solid middle class/upper middle class community. We didn't need no stinkin' East Lake/Rolling Hills to class the place up!

Where did this come from?
I think Layla got into the Sangria just a little early today ;-)
It IS an interesting development though. I really hope that LBM didn't really let Char load up on brownies and fudge, although with her sage mothering and advanced cooking skills, maybe they were sugar free and made with soy?
Wabbitsd: no idea if DC was there; just was saying he'd be mortified if he witnessed LBM allowing (and encouraging) this from their kids! Also thought he'd want to see Charlie perform. But no clue if he was there.
I remember Candy Cane Lane! Used to bring the kids down when they were little--it was awesome! Is it still going? Haven't been for quite a few years.

I used to love visiting Candy Cane Lane...more recently, Pepper Drive, but I have heard they no longer do the big displays, either.
Personally, for Xmas and Halloween, the more, the better. Paint the windows, have 14 big old blow up displays, wooden cutout figures, what-ever! blow out the light circuits. I think celebrating like that is great.
They have pics posted of the B&E house on the website; dumb. A good crook ("hoodlum") could piece together that info. Geez.

I will drive by on my way home tonight (it's on my route between my trolley and my girls school, if I take a small detour) and I'll see if I can snap a pic or two.
just fyi--I did know a family that were "behind-the-scenes B&E" recipients. Got food, gifts, lots of nice stuff. No fanfare; a friend had written in for them and station people came and set them up as a surprise. It was very cool. (but sadly FH got no accolades or tears of admiration for that one).

Is it just me or is anyone else repulsed by the fact that FH always chooses a family from his "hood". He makes me sick!
There are so many families that are without homes due to the fires. It would have been so much more meaningful if they could have shared the wealth this year to some families who are without a home. At least his friends in the hood have a roof over their heads.
Don't you know that his next blahg is going to be all about how busy he was being Santa that he didn't have a moment to write. He is so self righteous :puke:

ok well I just looked at the breaking and entering pics and although the families got a lot of stuff they trashed the place in the process....plus I saw 2 snowboards...first of all they might be practical if San Diego got snow but it doesn't... so you would have to drive to like big bear...if these families are poor doesn't a trip to big bear seem expensive? I don't see the logic behind that purchase.
Secondly, was his kids there in the pics? He made such a big deal about them sharing this experience with him but I don't think I saw them in the pictures.
Thirdly, I saw laura's track suit...and omg how hideous....I cant believe a target employee let her take that out of the store...I can't believe Target even sells it, Kmart sure, but ugh what was she thinking? I did like the converse shoes though....

oops, are you are talking maybe about a different station, then? and really, that's the way it should be.
I think the excess of it all kinda bugs me, but what the heck, maybe it's just me. If that is something that means a lot to kids that age, that's fine by me. My memories of the best Xmas ever was about one special thing, not recieving a boatload of too much stuff. And in my experience (my daughter is the only grandchild on my side of the family, WAS the only grandchild on the other side for her first 5 or 6 years...) and the total boatload excess sorta dulls the senses for kids as to what Xmas is all about. I can't tell you how many times the stuff all sat under the tree until the New year, and then sat unwrapped and unused til it got swallowed up til the next Salvation Army run.
I'm putting my tree up finally tomorrow after work, then if we can get to Pepper Drive that evening, too, I'll be fine.

Hey, if anyone wants to see another fun neighborhood, check out "Starlight Circle" in Santee. It's what we've all come to know it as. If you take the 67 and exit left on Prospect, right on Magnolia, and travel about 3 miles, it's the second street just past Santana High School.
They have amazing themed houses, everyone's outside with their fire rings and sitting around, it's a good easy walk, (unlike Pepper Dr with all the hills-you can walk this one with ease!) and everyone walks around and buys the kettle corn, hot chocolate, fudge, or lumpia that the various houses sell.
Okay, so I'm biased; I live right up the next few blocks from there, but if you are in the East County area, please check it out! We're going tomorrow night, as a matter of fact! (I may have to drive though, since my walking is so limited.) :(
By the way, this neighborhood does it up big time for Halloween also! (I've heard the family that sells kettle corn makes $$$$ of money from these holidays!)

ok some more comments on the breaking and entering...if these families are so broke maybe a coffee maker isn't a practical gift...
what is up with picture 7? are they are sponsor or is a family going scuba diving? cause that makes sense...
And I've never seen paint on windows till today but it doesn't look like the worse thing in the world...i personally would never do it but if it was the only decoration i could afford maybe I'd do it.
And maybe CV gets such a bad wrap because of Tommy always doing B and E there...
A cotton candy maker is another gift that serves no use to a struggling family...pic number 30 has that
Picture 32 has what i thought were snow boards but actually skateboards...at least that makes more sense than snow boards.
Its nice they get so much stuff but they could have got them half of what the did and got another family or two some more stuff too...a lot of that is just materialistic stuff anyways....yet again tommy and his hoodlums don't understand the meaning of Christmas its not about how much you get someone or how expensive the gift is it about appreciating what you have and being with your family...

Wanna be a good parent? Be firm...be fair...be flexible....be fervent.
It isn't about what your kids want....it's about what your kids need.
Thanks Jake, that wraps it all up in one nice bundle on how to be a good parent. I also know kids are unpredictable. It goes to show they are their own person and utimately seek independence. I'm always looking for good parental advice. I have two boys to raise and everyday is a learning experience. One of my top priorities in life is to be a great parent to my kids. This forum helps me by examining LBM's life and use it as an example of what NOT to do! Thanks Laura....you're a big help :)
Laura's Diary - December 20th, 2007
Thursday, December 20, 2007 at 1:58pm
Dear Diary,
This is how my day went yesterday:
After work, I drove to the La Mesa Costco to buy the pink retro kitchen for Evan. The only one left was the display, so they guy sold it to me at a discount. It had some scratches on it, but I figured she'll scratch it up in no time anyway. But, I am a dumb dumb because I failed to empty the back of my car, so some guy in the parking lot had to help me stuff it into the tight space. Since I was in the neighborhood (wait…no I wasn't) I decided to hit up my favorite discount store..GTM. For some reason, I thought it was crucial that I get two faux fur throws and three big throw pillows. I don't have a bed, so I figured the kids and I can sleep on the floor with those, right? That's not clear thinking. Anyway, I also bought some toys and a bunch of household supplies.
Then, I drove to the new house where I unloaded my car, then collapsed on the new pillows. By the way, the aroma sticks didn't really do the trick. The place still smells like my grandpa used to smell. On the way to pick up Charlie, I called Costco because as I was leaving I noticed the faucet part of the kid kitchen was missing. They told me to call the Santee Costco. The people over there told me that I had to get there by 6pm to exchange it because there was only one more left! So, I get Charlie, then I get Evan, then I go to Tommy's. We hung out there for a bit, where I made the phone calls to hook up my utilities. I guess the dude who lived in the house before me failed to pay the water bill, so I have to physically drive downtown and show the Water Authority my rental agreement before my water gets turned on! UGH!
At 5pm, I dropped the kids with Dave at the Starbucks in Rancho Penasquitos. From there, I raced back to my new house, re-stuffed the pink kitchen into my car, and high-tailed it Santee.
The really nice guy in the Warehouse, John, helped me with the exchange. I reloaded the new kitchen into the car, then went back into Costco to buy some food. Why I bought a gigantic box full of Top Ramen, I may never know. I do know that I will never ever finish that box. I also got a party tray of cheese. Why? I was delirious at that point. After I loaded all of the food into the remaining space in my car, I realized "Hey, the other GTM is right around the corner!" So, I HAD to hit that one up just in case I missed anything. I bought some cute bowls and plates for 99 cents and a pot and a pan.
Then I drove back to the new house and unloaded ALL the stuff, including Evan's pink kitchen. You know how many times I lifted that thing throughout the day? Six times. SIX! That little blonde-headed three-year-old better LOVE that thing!
Then, I drove all the way back to Rancho Penasquitos. At the front door, there were piles and piles of stuff for the Breaking-and-Entering Christmas family. Listeners dropped all sorts of stuff at Tommy's door. I carried in towels and socks and sleeping bags and a DVD Player and PJ's and Toiletries and a vacuum. I just stared at the giant pile of stuff in Tommy's living room and marveled at the generosity of strangers. Beautiful.
I hauled my tired butt up the stairs, washed my face, brushed my teeth and collapsed into bed.
Needless to say, I slept like a rock.
See you tomorrow, Diary.

I totally agree, Layla. I was just about to say the same thing. And why does Tummy insist on picking someone from CV? Some areas of CV is not as poverty stricken as other areas in SD county. Maybe, Tummy does pick a Sablan clan each year. Don't most of them live in old CV?
Anyway, that B/E thing, although not a complete waste, is all done for publicity in order to make Flubby look good. If you're that insecure Tummy, don't worry, I'll compliment you everyday (although I'd be lying) Hail, Tubby! We love you! You're such a giver! You paid for most of the stuff given away today! I'm wondering how much came out of his fat wallet towards the B/e thing today?
Last thing. ANyone notice Tubby's vertical striped dress shirt? Who's dressing him these days? Mooch is slowly taking over his body (that sounded gross!)
"oops, are you are talking maybe about a different station, then? and really, that's the way it should be".----yeah, it was a few years ago; a station ago or so. Before they really jumped the shark.
She's gonna have the kids sleep on faux fur rugs and throw pillows on the floor?????!!!!!!!!! But she can blow money on cheese trays, crates of ramen and GTM crap? Gimme a break. For the kids' sake I'm hoping there WERE a couple left over mattresses from B&E.
Something's up---still doing the neutral spot drop-offs. Too bad.

Oops, I think neutral site drop offs are par for the course, especially at this more volatile stage of their divorce. That might change once they settle into their separate lives (ha, right, like LBM will ever be settled).
I'm sure the kids' teachers will really appreciate how attentive they are in class after sleeping on pillows on the floor.
Did anyone else hear LBM talking this morning about picking up the play kitchen? She doesn't even have a Costco membership so she used someone else's card. Delana, possibly? Hey LBM, try paying the $50 annual membership like the rest of us non-big-deals before you go on your next Top Ramen spending spree!

My guess would be Moochelle, since she looks so much like her. She doesn't favor Delana at all.
Nope it was Delana's. I thought the same thing: fork over the membership fee. What a parasite. She's probably trying to swing a deal with Big Daddy Bolinger at the station to film Tummy Tube at the new digs so she can write it off or charge the station half her rent for "location costs".
Yeah, neutral drops are probably the norm (sadly)it's just that I'm sure she didn't do a whole lot during mediation to smooth things out/take responsiblity that helped the situation.
All that shopping and she's pooped. What no energy left to watch her sleezy shows or Intervention episodes?! Guess she wants as much mattress time as she can get before she's hitting the floorboards with her GTM gear.

I'll be planning it for sure! I'll be more mobile by then, too! Maybe extra extra crazy with the extra extra kids, but at least I'll be able to walk comfortably.
By the way, when I see tht little cheers guy with the drink in his hand, I just want to join him! (just a few more months...)
"what is up with picture 7? are they are sponsor or is a family going scuba diving? cause that makes sense..." That's Jerry's friend, Warner Kern (sp?); donated the trucks from his place and I'm sure part of the deal was he'd get a pic splashed up on the website for being a good guy.
For the B&E family: sure hope Cox Cable is paying for their services for some time; 2 new tvs, computers, etc. Sure that's not an expense the family would be ready to take on unexpectedly and would be a cruel trick if they were given all the goodies and couldn't manage to enjoy them.
I also wonder/would like to hear if for families like this if they help the parents find jobs/interviews. All the "stuff" is great and J&J and talk about how now they have "everything" and a "new start". Well, it's terrific "stuff" but what it takes to maintain that is the work and the paychecks. (i.e. insurance on a new car could be a shocker). Just curious if anyone's heard.

forgot about Starlight Circle. Love walking that block.
I'm really thinking I rather go look at Xmas light displays than put up my own tree...Wait Scratch that. Man, I sound like Laura, don't I?
I didn't hear the whole story about the target family this time...were there two parents, and were they both unemployed? Do they own or rent that house, does anyone know?
Think they said Dad was unemployed and Mom was disabled. Have an adult daughter (with a little one) also living with them (and I think 4 younger children?). Adult daughter is helping to support the family it sounded like. Said they'd been living in motels and car for part of the year. House is fairly new for them (assume they are renting based on their story); but looks pretty nice (however small for all these folks). That's the best I can remember. Just that the little boy had asked Santa for blankets and warm things for Christmas; they had no beds, bedding.

I remember Candy Cane Lane! Used to bring the kids down when they were little--it was awesome! Is it still going? Haven't been for quite a few years.
I think they "officially" closed it down a few years ago. The traffic got really bad, and there were some unfortunate incidents one year when one of the houses didn't participate.
I don't know if any of the families on the two streets still "do it up."
Whitney/Mancado was pretty good too.

Okay, I'm sorry, I just have to ask...does anyone else think that the little boy asking for blankets and warm things for Christmas from Santa may have been made up? I don't know...I was raised in a family that never had much money, especially when I was very young. When Christmas came around I know that me and my 4 siblings couldn't expect much at all. I knew that "Santa" wouldn't be as generous with me as he was with some of my friends. However, I don't recall ever asking for things that my family needed [more food, more clothes, etc]. I remember being a normal kid and asking for way more than my Dad's budget could afford for all us kids. I don't know how old this little boy is but I just find it a little hard to believe. They stage so much on the spewgram, that I wondered anyone else's opinion on this...

I think it depends on what their story is. If they've been living in a car and/or hotels, then yes, I think it's possible that a child would ask for bedding, blankets and warm things. I have seen a few episodes of Extreme Makeover Home Edition where the kids are the ones asking for the "logical" stuff. I think it really depends on their story.

Cable bill, increased auto registration fees, increased insurance expense, increased S.D.G.& E. from heaters, computers, televisions...
Here's a thought: Buy birth control pills for daughters (okay, that was sarcasm)
Seriously, how about doing this for B & E.?
One of the "sponsors" offer Dad a job. Cut back on the toys. Give each child $100 and instruct them to buy something for others in the neigborhood (like food, toys, etc. for other needy families). Put the other thousands into a couple of CD's for a "rainy day." Start a small scholarship fund to reward the kids with a college future if they apply themselves throughout high school.
Most "hardship" families could benefit over time with more opportunities and less "stuff."
But then again, that's why I'm not in radio -- I'm not good at filtering my thinking through Arbitron ratings.

I just wondered, is all. I doubt the showgram so much these days that I question every little single thing they say now. So my curiosity was sparked on that one little bit.
