McDonald's breaks promotion for its Premium Chicken Sandwiches

OAK BROOK, Ill. (Aug. 11) - A McDonald's Corp. promotion breaking today will offer customers a free medium drink and medium French fries with the purchase of any of three new Premium Chicken Sandwiches. Special menus contain three coupons — one each for The Classic, Ranch BLT and Club — which contain the offer.
The promotion will run through Sunday. McDonald's, based here, operates or franchises more than 30,000 quick-service units worldwide.

Perhaps he meant, "That's because the fries and drinks cost them virtually nothing."
