*sigh* why haven't I learned my lesson yet. I'm never doing another rebate thing again!!!

I bought this phone through a techbargain.com link, because they had this rebate:

http://g-images.amazon.com/images/G/01/00/10/00/11/89/75/100011897509.pdf . I swear it says valid on purchases from 7/1/05 to 7/31/05.

Today I get this email from them, stating

"Your rebate submission has been received.
Unfortunately your rebate is denied for the following reasons:
ORIGINAL PURCHASE NOT DURING REBATE PERIOD
PCHSED --VALID DATES: 09/01/04-06/30/05".

I try to go to the www.wheresmyrebate.com website to send them a message (getting someone to answer the phone is impossible), and their website won't let me create an account. I f&*( hate rebates.

Seems to say that to me also.. Maybe they got confused. Shrugs. I have never had a problem with a rebate before. Ever.

File a complaint with the BBB.

Include that you were unable to contact them after several attempts. You do have a photocopy of the rebate offer, don't you? If you don't you can try to contact amazon.com.

I think this is their number
Phone: (800) 201-7575

I googled it.

do you make copies of all forms/UPCs before you send away for rebates?

If you have photocopies of your original submission, this will be no problem to get straightened out. If you don't, you are screwed.
