What a ****in day.

I've been planning a get together for about 18-20 friends from school(most all college, a few HS) for over a month now. I had 18-20 people say 'yeah, i'll show up! it'll be great to see everyone before we head back' well, up until this minday, everyone had been steadily dropping out, family obligations, work, both of which i can understand. Then, some, who i had thought were very good friends of mine, tell me they can't come if X isn't coming, and X isn't coming because of a family emergency, or nable to get off from work. So, as of last night, i had 4(yep, they dropped that many) who said they could. Then i get a call about noon from one,"Sorry, C and i can't make it, we hafta goto work, someone called in." great. so i get in contact with the other two, and tell them the who thing is off, everyone backed out.

How lame is that? These are the same people who've i've supported for ATLEAST the past year. A couple of them i got beat the **** out of for. One other spent a night in my room after she OD'd on alcohol, weed, vicodin, and something else. I stayed up all night on a Tuesday so she didn't ****ing die. She couldn't goto the hospital, she didn't have insurance, and her parents have no money. She is going to school on a free ride because of academics.

Why does it seem like every person i've helped decides to let me down when i attempt to get see them? Can you not face the fact i'm willing to sacrifice to help you?

On top of that, my car had to get new rear struts. $408. beautiful. Luckily they only needed my car for 4 hours.

Got it back, then went and had to buy clothes for school. I don't fit in the pants i had, so that blew. then i had to spend 3 hours walking around looking for clothes that fit. (Plus side, 3 pairs or pants, new shoes and a sweatshirt only cost $100. That i can live with, i normally hafta pay that much for 2 pairs of pants)

Then, as i pull in to our complex, i see my dad with some trucked backed into him in the middle of the parking lot. For those that don't know, my dad is a fireman. he was responding to a call(doing the speed limit) when a pickup backed into his Impala. once i get the pics uploaded i'll show you, but its gonna cost(about 4 different people have chipped in, we havn't gottena flat bed to tow it iet) is 5400-8k. and since its undriveable, hes taking mine. And i hafta move into college on Wed/thurs.

Pardon me, i plan on being revil tonight

Wow Yoss. That really sucks. It seems like crap like that always happens to me too. I've given up on trying to get people together.

since you always follow the rules
don't take it out on other people.

and as far as the party... that seems to be the way it goes after HS for sure. it's hard to get all your friends together, and it's frustrating and disappointing when your plans fail.
you should have still partied it up with the 2 people who were coming - better them than no one at all.
i guess what you are learning is not to expect anything from anyone and then you won't be disappointed. (i know it's hard not to have expectations)

Sorry dude that sucks. Its been like that lately, or at least for me. A string of friends, who suddenly can't return phonecalls or who bail out at the last hour before we hang out, when we have been planning for weeks/ months. Or even more amazing to me is the person i'm paying her phone bill while she gets some other bills in order, only talks with me maybe 5 minutes a week, and yet she runs through our 600 collective phone day minutes on her own so i try not to use my phone at all...

Sorry dude, i hope they wisen up or that nicer people come along for you.

why does your dad have to cover the towing or the repair bill? doesn't the other guy's insurance cover it?
