hardware disposal

i have some stuff that i don't think is worth selling (i.e. 3-port firewire PCI card). is it ok to just throw away this stuff? what would you guys do?

You can see if there is a recycler in your area, or just toss it.

Modern electronics have been cleaned up a little and leak far less heavy metals than they did in the 80's-90's.

First I would freecycle it - maybe your trash is someone else's treasure.

Actually, I have a bunch of junk that needs tossing too, I guess I should send it the recyclers as well. If only I were back home.
