I meant to post this question a few weeks ago but never did. Do all hotels not have AV inputs anymore on their TV's? I was at the Marriott in NYC several weeks ago and I thought I had the foresight to bring my Ms Pac-Man 5 in 1 arcade joystick whatchmacallit. That way when I my room doing nothing I'm not limited to the 5 channels I would get and pay for a movie if I desired. When I got to the hotel to hool it up the TC had absolutely no AV inputs and instead had this black metal boxy contraption hooked up to it.
Is this something new?
LMAO.
I brought that 5 in 1 joystick game too to the last hotel I went to, and no AV input either :(

We went to "Wingate" In Dallas which is owned by the Ramada group.. and they had the connections.. but my brother forgot the sound cable for his portable dvd player and couldnt find his DVD's in the car.. but the Free TV was about 70 channels.. Including History Channel.. so I didnt need any Game dealie or the DVD player.. :) They Also offered Free WiFi throughout the place.. if u care to know that :)

You are running into two factors. 1) Hotels buy cheap tvs...which even in todays day and age might not include video inputs. For the most part this is highly unlikley, but does occur. 2) The multi units which allow you to rent the pron, play games, rent movies, etc. may be actually using the input.
