I'm going with ZipZoomFly (as some of you may know I'm rather annoyed with them) because I will save too much money than if I were to not go with them. I guess I am giving them a redemption chance.

are you sure that your cpu will work with your mobo? the amd64 3400+ is socket 754 and the asus a8n-sli is a socket 939. also, i think you might have to get another ps as the antec smartpower 2.0 series aren't as great as antec's truepower 2.0 series, but just a thought. i know the 7800gtx isn't as power-hungry as the 6800ultras, but it's still a high-end graphics card, so more power couldn't hurt. i plan to run my bfg 6600gt with my sl350 ps (hopefully it won't run at its max and will supply my components with enough power without rebooting/shutting down/breaking anything).

$500 is WAY too much for a video card. Put that money into a faster CPU and get a lesser 7800.

Also, no DVDRW?

I forgot to mention this, but I have a Truepower 430-watt sitting at home that I will be using. I also changed the case model to a Full Tower Coolermaster.

$500 is WAY too much for a video card. Put that money into a faster CPU and get a lesser 7800.

In regards to the video card, I'm building this system for a reason and I am fully prepared to spend that much on the video card.

I also have a DVD+/-RW in my current system (which will become a file server later). So there is no need to put it into this system. This system is ONLY for games, nothing else.

The two hard drives will also be set up in a RAID 0 environment. :D

The CoolerMaster CM Stacker is "DA BOMB" case yo! :D

However if you get that one... be sure to get an extra 4 in 3 module so that you can mount an additional 120 mm fan to the front to keep it cooler.

It comes with one 4 in 3 module.. however there are no additional front fan mounting locations on the front without that module. Also, you might wanna consider buying the crossover fan as well... for ultimate cooling. :thumb:

I have a similar 120 mm fan on the exhaust of my case and I keep it turned all the way down when I don't need it's full power.

Taken from experience, the 3200 runs extremely cool, even with a mediocre case/PSU combination. I'm assuming the fancy video card comes with above adequate cooling.

So, with his Coolermaster case, Antec Truepower PSU, and possibly a couple stealth or generic 80 mm (pretty quiet) fans, he should be in great shape even if he overclocks.

its really not that loud, i do have mine on a rheostat but when im gaming i turn the fans all the way up for max cool, during the damn summer my computer runs hot anyway :( i guess 45 degrees celcius under max load isnt that bad but i was getting 37-39 over the winter

If you're gonna shell out for Raptors, the 74GB unit is a better performing unit if money allows for it. They spin at the same speed (10k RPM) as you know but I believe there's one more feature on the 74GB (I wanna say NCQ) that makes it perform significantly better than the 37GB.

I can attest to this, as I've used both the 37 and the 74 and wound up keeping the 74.

Actually at full speed it is... (I too have one just like that...)

But your "loud" might not be equivalent to my "loud". :shrug:

The 120 mm fans that come with the 4 in 3 module are like 1200 rpm fans that aren't loud at all (they probably push like 40 CFM at about 28 db... as a guess.)

By ALL means, drop the RAID0 & go with a single 74GB Raptor. You'll get better performance, less chance of a failure, and it'll be cheaper.
