In November of 2004 I order a muffler from expressautoparts.com that they said was in stock and would ship in 3-5 days. I received an e-mail conformation of the order, an $89.37 charge on my credit card and a note that I would get a tracking number as soon as the part shipped.
An inquiry about the order 3 weeks later resulted in an automated response saying that my part was on back order at the warehouse level and to please allow another 3-6 days for the part to ship. After another 2 weeks went by without the part being shipped, I canceled the order and received another automated e-mail response confirming the cancellation.
Being naïve, I expected a refund on my credit card which never happened. Repeated requests since then have always resulted in automated e-mail responses with messages such as please allow 30 days for your credit to show up on your credit card billing or the latest really dumb message saying that they have changed their credit card processor and can no longer give me a credit.
Complaints filed with my state attorney general’s office and the New York better business bureau have simply been ignored by expressautoparts.com because they know that no punitive measure will be taking against them. The Washington State Attorney Generals office said they could not act as my private attorney and suggested that I hire one to recover my $89.37, lol. No help from my credit card company either, they would not accept a disputed charges claim because it had been more than 60 days after the transaction was posted.
Too late for me I found out that this company has been ripping people off for years. Too bad they are not smart enough to run an honest business.

I was contacted by new management at expressautoparts.com as a result of a posting that I had done at a different web site. They are trying to clean up old unresolved issues and after reviewing my order promptly sent my refund!
