ok...this is supposed to be "in". it's being called: "the new male cleavage" because it's almost obscene.
what would you think if you saw a guy barefoot in his Salvatore Ferragamos or Bruno Maglis?

I'd think he had some pretty stinky feet.

I would think his feet must be sweaty and smelly. No thanks.

Does this mean socks and sandals are 'in' too?
I sure hope not.
I would be a bit grossed out...as the two above have said, the feet probably stink pretty bad.
I can't imagine it being any comfortable either.

"And i can't where my Brunos anymore after the F****** O.J. thing."
And why not just get ankle socks? That way you can look cool and have decent' hygeine.

About as stupid as upturned collars.
To be a bit more specific:
'About as stupid as pink upturned collars'
I do have to agree upturned collars was a fad I'd really like to burn from my internal flash memory.

It seems the little newb college preps have made this a comback king of fashion bufoonery. I have seen 2-3 pink Polo upturned collars this weekend alone. Idiots.

here are my feelings (http://porchtalk.com/forums/home.php) on this subject.
i mean, i love cutting edge trends most of the time, but not this one.
and i also agree that popped collars should've remained in the ugly fad past and not be revisited. in fact, i was at a party with a guy who had a popped collar white polo shirt on this weekend, and i immediately un-popped it for him, and told him it was "uuuuuugly" :P

HEY~! it depends on what the shoess look like..take sperry topsiders for instance-if you wore socks with those you'd be slightly leaning to the dorky side..
personally, I think some guys can pull it off with the right outfit. And not everyone has feet that sweat or get very offensive..

oh no, not dorky!! i didn't mean all sandals, just thongs because when you're wearing socks it's uncomfortable to try to separate your toes through that fork

People that wear dress shoes without socks (excluding the homeless) should be blugeoned to death. Preferably with golf clubs, but a baseball bat will do in a pinch.
this is a no-no .....

Yeah, back in the motherland they love them their popped collars since about ten years ago or so. It's a big freaking peeve of mine. I don't so much mind when the sun is out and their excuse is to "protect" their necks from the sun, but shoot. A guy in our class is Mr. Prep who needs to grow up and figure that it just makes him look like a fool trying to hard to impress in a professional school.

Yeah it is dorky but when travelling on planes comfort and function trumps all.

Normal rules of dress do not apply when traveling. So long as it is comfortable it is ok. If I saw some guy traveling in PJs, a bathrobe and bunny slippers I wouldn't think he was weird, I would respect him as smarter than everyone else. He is gonna be comfortable, get through the security screening fast ( no metal and slippers go on and off easy) and be ready to crash out the second he gets into his seat. :)

Although I do dress more comfortable when traveling I would kick my own ar$e if I ever wore bunny slippers. :heh: The mental image of me in bunny slippers is hilarious. :heh:
