on my vw passat 1.8t... lately when i drive kinda hard... when i park... i get a light oil smoke from my engine along with the smell... but when i pop the hood the smoke disappears... so i can't find the leak... but when i just drive normally... i dont' get any smoke or smell of an oil leak... checked my dipstick... oil level is fine... been about 2000 miles since my last oil change... what can i do to find the leak? or is there something i can do to stop it?

is the smoke coming out of the hood? or from below/sides/back?

leaks = drips to underneath the car. and a lot of times, the catalytic converter is ridiculously hot, and thats where the smoke can come out of. check underneath, and see if u can find it leaking from the underside.

also, check the levels to make sure it is the engine oil.... or other fluids to see if perhaps it's a different fluid (tranny fluid perhaps?)

comes out in front of the hood... not from the sides or below... no fluids can be found underneath my car ever.... smoke only comes out when i kinda punch the car a lot...

If it is coming out of the grille it might be a coolant leak of some sort.

can it be anything with the turbo? turbo mostly kicks in with higher rpms... what does it smell like? :)

Very good question. If's a sweet smell, it's probably coolant or power stearing fluid. If it's a thick blue smoke that smells like burned hair, than it's oil smoke.

If your oil levels aren't dropping much, it's prolly a front crankcase seal that's leaking. Most likely, the oil is splashing onto your manafold only when are you driving fast and the air around/in the engine bay is blowing it around.

If you're not losing power, don't worry about it, since it's an external leak. If you notice you are losing power/major amounts of oil, get it fixed, because the leak could cause increased oil oxidation.
