Just thought of this thread because once again I spilled something on my keyboard.........guess I got it all out OK cuz I can still type! Then I remembered all the keyboards I've had to replace because at one time or another something did get spilled that didn't come out...like coffee..etc. I think I ruined maybe 3 or 4 keyboards total because of this. Anyone care to comment if they've had the same dilemna??

I eventually got sick of buying new keyboards, so I bought a spill-proof keyboard. It has been pretty decent. I think the worst part about getting a new keyboard is trying to get your fingers used to it again.

I used to spill soda after soda on my keyboards at work that I was finally banned from having any liquid at my desk.

None, but I've replaced many of them on other PCs. Also, I'm amazed by the sheer volume of food particles that I find in keyboards that folks report as "defective".

A couple. I'm on the problem right now with this keyboard. Basically, it was a little bit of orange juice, and now the keys stick. I hate the idea of buying a new keyboard because I like this one, so my solution? I put a bit of gun oil and WD-40 under my keys and they work well enough. it's noticeable, but it's not that bad.

Me too on killing a laptop KB...

Spilled an entire glass of Coke on it. Thought I had killed the laptop for sure, but everything ended up working fine, except the KB was too sticky to use (darn that delicious, sugary drink!).

Can of coke - $1
Replacement KB from Dell - $10
Installation of KB - Free

Not killing my brand new, $3200 work laptop 2 weeks after I got it - Priceless

Thanks Dell, for making a machine that will endure my clumsiness.

I can't think of any keyboards I've killed.

I've painted so many keyboards. Give em to friends as works of art.
Haven't screwed any up though.
