I did a search and found a lot of reviews on this PSU, all of them positive. Unfortunately, I needed a new PSU a couple of weeks ago so I ordered a 550W, 4-fan, Super-Flower unit from Directron. If this one would have been available at that time, I have went with it and saved a few bucks as it seems equally reliable.

Unfortuinately the Ultra-X's quality went way down hill when they changed manufactures. I would not reccomend one now. Originaly, they were great PSUs.

I got one back in July for $29.99 after MIR from Fry's (Outpost B&M). It's working okay right now but the 12V rail dips to 11 with barely only two HDs, one DVD+/-RW, a GF 6600GT, one TV tuner, one sound card, one PCI wireless card, and 8 USB ports used. I don't know how correct the reading is from SiSoft Sandra.

No one sells the original ones. I am sure there is one somewhere at the back of a shelf somewhere... but you aren't gonna find it. The only way your could know would be to find out the date they changed manufactures and only get from before that.
