Minor stuff?!?! Don't you know that stickers are very tricky things to work with?! A single "Type R" sticker alone will boost your horsepower by 10!!

I enjoy a good bowl of rice, maybe with marinated chicken... :munch: Ah yes...good stuff.
but, rice my car (a 02 civic coupe)...
NO!
(I do have personalized emblems, but all other work was done under the hood, primarily with better chemicals; Redline, Moble1, FP60...)

I love RICE... Anyway my TypeR stickers add 10hp each but I remove them because I lost gas mileage. :P
BTW I have an axle-back exhaust (dual can) and a short ram air intake.

CheesyPuff...anything you do to the car in moderation will be fine. I had a lot of bolt-ons on my last car and it made it a lot more fun to drive. What were you thinking of specifically?

I riced up my 99 civic with a University Of MD license plate holder...oh yea...sweatin' the terrapins all day long. Oh and those Hello Kitty Sanrio suction cup dolls...so schweet...I swear the ladies just kawaii all over it and I get some mad gas mileage.
Yeah don't rice up your car with the stickers.

i think we should specify what kinds of stickers...
i think we'd all agree if apex were to make got|apex stickers, most of us would be more than willing to slap one on our cars (considering it looked good)
on the other hand, do go putting stickers for things that don't exist on your car....
like:
"powered by honda" on a nissan
"mugan racing" when there's nothing mugan on your car
"vtec inside"
...
the only thing sticker i had on my car was an adidas (3 stripe) sticker...but that's just cause i'm an adidas fanatic

CheesyPuff...anything you do to the car in moderation will be fine. I had a lot of bolt-ons on my last car and it made it a lot more fun to drive. What were you thinking of specifically?
specifically, 5 things.
1. rims (I have rim covers which look really tacky)
2. brake and acceleration pedals (just becauase they're cheap and fun)
3. cool looking side mirrors (becuase they look cool)
4. Fog lights
5. spoiler (not the flashy ones, just a good normal sized one)
oh, any maybe for sh1ts and giggles, neon lights under my seats...but I don't think I'm gonna do that, just a tad too much rice for me.
btw...if gotapex busted out a sticker...I would put it on my car.

3. cool looking side mirrors (becuase they look cool)
the fact of the matter is....*your the one stuck with driving your car*...so with that said, as long as your happy with what you do to your car, then let it be...it shouldn't matter much what other's say...
but i do agree...i just got my 06 RSX, and these are the things i've planned:
installed type-r spoiler (done - probably the most rice-iest (http://home.comcast.net/~g222leav/rsx8.jpg) thing on my car
swapped out headlights (done)
swapped out stock audio system (done)
tint windows (saturday...pending)
install new tip on the exhaust (i've had an aftermarket exhaust...not worth it)
new rims (next spring...pending $$$)
piaa fog lights (ETA: spring)
new grill (http://www.grillcraft.com) to protect radiator and fogs (ETA: spring)
*subwoofer* (if i deem the swapped out system doesn't have enough thump)
many people will flame me (espically on the rsx boards) for not investing more money on performance mods...but seriously, in an urban city environment it's not really practical...i'm more interested in making my car look good (note: not fast...good)...until my warrenty runs out...at which point i may tinker around with the engine
oh, any maybe for sh1ts and giggles, neon lights under my seats...but I don't think I'm gonna do that, just a tad too much rice for me.
i'm not so sure about neon...if you do decide to get neon..do it right, those kits you can get from pep boys and stuff just plug into the cigarette lighter...sure it's simple and all, but the wires show...notsure if you want that...
btw...if gotapex busted out a sticker...I would put it on my car.
...like i said, if apex busted out with one, I know that I would throw it on my ride somewhere (if it wasn't too overbearing)...i know that probably a lot of people would be interested in a G|A decal....

Ok, I think what we have determined here is that we all want a G|A sticker.
Cars only lose you money. Why would I pour more money into a purchase that continually loses money? Oh, to answer your question, No.

Can't that be said about just about anything? Why buy memory for your new computer? That computer is just going to lose money. The answer, is simply because you enjoy it.
Also, when you guys say stickers, where do you put them? Not directly on the paint I'd assume?

Please chat around on www.7thgencivic.com. You'll get lots of fun ideas and things not to do as well.
As far as my $.02:
1: Good idea. Steel wheels are garbage. I replaced mine with stock Honda rims (7-spoke) because they are much better quality than many of the aftermarket wheels. If you use 7thgencivic's forsale board (where I get most of my stuff) you should be able to get wheels and better tires for under $500.
2: Why not, as long as they don't clash with your interior.
3: Avoid mirrors. The ones that retain the stock-power functionality cost a lot of $-$ that can be used elsewhere. Besides, anything you paint, will most likely fade at a different rate than the rest of your car.
4: Go for it. I was thinking of doing mine this fall. Get lights designed for your civic, you should not have to cut your bumper.
5: Not my cup of tea, but go for it. If you do get a spoiler MAKE SURE IT IS THE SAME COLOR AS YOUR CAR!!!! Also realize that you may have to get trunk struts or better trunk springs, because most spoilers weigh 100-200lbs and your stock trunk springs will cease to function properly.
Hope this helps...
Fun "mods":
Change your emblems
Swap your tailights' position or color
Change your dash lights/LEDs color
Install sound deadening (highly recommended)
Relocate your aftermarket stereo
Also, avoid K&N air filters on your civic. They will destroy it.

Are you an engineer type? Does everything boil down to practicality?
Although I do agree with you on spending lots of money on a new vehicle which instantly loses money the day you drive it out of the dealership.

(tried google and ebay) can't find it!!! anywho, g222leav, I would totally post some pics, but I'm in houston right now, and I didn't bring the hookup for my camera to the comp. I would recommend the for-sale forums, just wait a while and someone will have a set for sale. Took me two months to get the wheels I wanted at a reasonable price ($300 for local-ish p/u in LA)
BTW (passwird): The stock Civic coupe spoiler is 35lbs. Some of the ricier spoilers I have seen for sale were upwards of 100lbs. Add stronger springs/shocks and the mounting hardware, and you can add 120lbs to the tail end of your car.

yea seriously. thats not rice, thats awesome. that thing transforms into anything hehe. i would love a nice clean 4runner, forest green, lift, huge tires, black rims, and tint. somebody at my school has that exact thing and looks awesome. rugged, but clean.

Well, it's not a canopy technically. It's a whole tent that resides on the roof that I can take off when not using it. But who cares, I don't know why I'm posting this..lol

quick question...late...I know...but quick
when buying rims for your car, my car is a 4 lug/bolt wheel set up. So would any 4 bolt lugnut wheel rim work? (for a 15in)

No.. you have to get the 4 bolt pattern with the spacing that fits your car.
Different makes have different spacing between the bolts.

If you have a Civic, it's 4x100mm. If you have an Accord (pre 2003) I4, it's 4x114.5mm.

be sure to get LED washers and LED tire valves. And get some spinner hub caps too. Be sure to put on Altezza lights also, they may have been played out for 10 years but who cares. And if you get a body kit just leave it primered/unpainted when you put it on. Get a big fat GT wing, some APC stickers and you're set!

As long as you don't "overdo" the cheap silver plastic look... they can be ok. It just depends on the application. :D
