I wasn't sure what to expect at the NOPI race in Atco, NJ. All I can say is that I am amazed at what these guys are getting out of 4 cylinder and a few 6 cylinder motors.

Although I only saw a few cars run, (because of the rain), I have great respect for them. There was a car that went 192 and 7.8 in a quarter mile. Of course, they are turbocharged, but the size of the engines and the amount of power that they can squeeze out of them is tremendous.

NASCAR and ProStock cars could learn something from these guys. I can't wait till next year!

I agree, it is amazing.

Nascar would love to learn, but there are so many rules saying what they can and cannot do to their motors they are pretty much stuck with naturally aspirated and carbuerated V8's.

Are prostock guys not in the low 6's?

yeah these cars are getting faster and faster. Sadly my car is not really considered fast. Gotta love new technology...

If I remember, they are in the 6.6 to 6.7 range. It took years for them to get into the sixes. And they are floating in the 205-210 MPH range.

I remember when the turbonetics celica broke the 200mph barrier and ran 6s. Pretty amazing.
